An exquisite 19th century oak carved corbel of a religious figure. Possibly Christ. The detail is truly excellent and beautifully carved in deep relief. The religious figure holds in his left hand a cross on top of the globe. Whilst his right is bent upward towards his heart. He wears a long robe. From which his foot is revealed. Beneath the figure sits deeply carved fruits. This is an exceptionally beautiful piece of carving. It stands some 17" high and some 3" wide. A wonderful addition to the collector or the home.
