Each corbel is made from 7 piece of 3/4" thick laminated pieces per corbel. They are 27 1/2" long and 21" wide(deep) They are stripped and ready for you paint. These corbels(along with several other super architectural elements come from the Charlestown Naval Shipment. Nice decorative pair of large corbels or roof brackets. They are large enough to be entry way brackets. They have old chippy white paint with some green under. They both have small chunks out of them as well as some minor chips and cracks. You will also find nail and ail holes. They each have great bullseye accents on each side. One corbel is missing half of the bullseye from one side. Overall they are very solid and in good usable condition. Pair of ornately milled wooden architectural victorian corbels/brackets measuring 20 inches high x 11 1/2 inches wide x 2 1/2 inches thick. The pair completely match. Are heavy for their size and appear to be ebonized old growth mahogany. These corbels are architectural salvage from the inside of a dismantled building with minimal expected wear marks: solidly made and properly maintained through the years, the pair of corbels have absolutely no rotten or soft areas. There is an older honestly repaired split at the bottom of one of the corbels. 1880's PAIR VICTORIAN GINGERBREAD ARCHITECTURAL SALVAGE WOOD CORBELS ANTIQUE
Here we have an original pair of 1880's era ~ VICTORIAN PORCH CORBELS WITH THE ORIGINAL FINIALS ~. We acquired a total of four out of the same estate. So please check out the other two we have listed if by chance you need four. This pair of fancy Victorian corbels has a wonderful look and great detail in the design. They measure 24 inches tall by 17 inches long by 3 5/8 inches wide. They are somewhat dirty and would clean up quite nicely, or could strip them and add fresh paint. The wood is quite solid and there are no soft areas or rot. The one side looks like it was exposed to some heat, but it is only on the very surface and really did not hurt the corbels. These are very sturdy well made corbels. These original 130 year old corbels would make a nice addition to your Victorian restoration.
