ANTIQUE 1870-80 Huge Architectural Wooden Corbels Shelf Brackets
These two corbels up for sale this week are from the east coast and ended up in a suburb of Chicago. Hinsdale which is a quite prestigious area. I was told they were going to be used in a"painted lady" but the deal fell apart, and these folks needed no more corbels. They are huge measuring 28 by 19 and show great weathering. They do not have any missing chunks but show wear as they are well over 100 years old. I am selling these together and will not split them up. They are a great pair. Very nice brackets. 1-1/4 wide not including raised areas. 22-18 tall and 8 deep at bigger end 4-1/2 at smaller but it grows to about 5-3/4 if you include the radius that juts out at small end. Great for your next project. Finish isn't perfect but most is present and with a little work these will come up nicely without having to loose its original color. Pair Large Antique Heavy Plaster Corbels Wall Shelf 19th c 17"x14"x14" Good vintage condition. They have been painted over. There are a couple areas that have minor damage such as a cracked corner. A chipped front edge and a hole in the deep recess of one of the leaves. All of which can easily be repaired if so desired. Both corbels are marked with a large"14" on top which is likely a size mark being that they are 17" wide x 14" tall x 14" deep. One corbel is marked"J" on top with"SJ" inside. The other is marked"A" on top with"SA" inside. These corbels were purchased 12 years ago from an antiques house in Ireland. I believe they are from ireland or England. Due to the size and weight of these items. we will only ship to the lower 48 US states. Sorry. No PO boxes.

Nice old and heavy corner braces used for an accent on my son's older home. This auction is for two(2) vintage Corner Braces. They would also work fine for a shelf brace. Pictures: The 5th picture is showing the back of one and the 6th picture show the width of one leg while laying on the other. If you can't tell these are oak tree leaves and acorns. Also. Some of the pictures make the legs look like they are curved or bent, they are not- they are all nice and straight. They are white with chips of paint missing and the paint looks to be several coats over the years. They were located outside on a front porch so have not seen a lot of direct weather. The backboard has a bevel along the bottom. It measures 30 inches wide by 9.5 inches tall and is 6.75 inches deep. Overall it is in good co ndition. These are the real deal! and NOT reproductions. Matching pair of antique corbel brackets. Nicely contoured with a carved acanthus design along the curve. These 2 mid 1800 wood corbels have at one time been put together to make one piece. I purchased it in New Hampshire like this in the early 90's. There are 2 small hangers on the back and I used it as a small shelf. It is 20" wide. 11 1/2" long and 4" deep. It is heavy weighing over 6 lbs. LARGE OLD VICTORIAN HOUSE PAINTED CORBELS I have several old antique items to sell at my folks old house that I thought would best be liquidated here on Ebay. Beautiful old corbels. These were very carefully taken off the house a couple months ago and are in really great condition for the age. Pieces are solid and not in a decaying or crumbly state. All are matching off the same house etc. but each corbel is unique with typical wear that would be naturally indigenous to this period and use on the house. They are easy to plaster before painting to reconstruct. Fill in any damage, or cover nail holes. There is a chunk missing as pictured in the front on the one rounded part. THEY MEASURES: About 26 inches tall. 14" deep, and 3" WIDE The flat rate shipping is for the lower 48 states. Pick up at our home is free if buyer wishes.
