I don't know a thing about these old printing presses so I will attempt to answer any questions you may have. I have checked it all over and nothing appers to be'frozen" Meaning that everything appears to be moving as it should. All I did was wipe most of the dust off from it. It is VERY HEAVY. Vintage Kelsey Excelsior 3 x 5 printing press Mercury Model M
This auction is for an old Kelsey Excelsior Mercury Model M. 3 x 5 printing press. The press appears to operate properly and smoothly. I can see that there are some missing pieces like the rollers and one of the roller rods is missing a spring and washer- look at photos- what is seen in the photos is what is included in this auction. The press does suffer from some corrosion- I do not see any cracks or breaks.

Here is and old excelsior press over all nice shape and has nice patina to it. I left it alone and just greased up the joints and functions smooth. I don't have to hold down the unit and can use the lever and functions with ease. no breaks and no repairs. the rollers can be replaced and springs are tight with the nuts being adjustable. this is a heavy unit please look at the pics and see the wonderful condition of this unit. item is being shipped from Ontario Canada. Vintage Kelsey Mercury Model 3 x 5 Table Top Printing Press
This Kelsey cast iron table top printer is a Mercury model and prints a 3 x 5 size. It retains it's original paint and all parts move freely. I am not an expert with these so please examine my picture closely to make your own judgement if there are any missing parts. I believe there is a round metal disc missing from the top. Other than that. I am not sure. There are no breaks or cracks in the cast iron. It is very heavy and measures 17" long. The nice old piece of Maple it is mounted on measures 23" long. There is no reserve.
