1902 THOMAS EDISON MIMEOGRAPH MACHINE NO. 4 COPYING A. B. DICK This is the original copy machine! It is the number 4 model by Edison. I have photographed it so you can grade it by the pictures. It comes with the wood box. Two slate pieces inside, a roller and some ink in a tube. The roller seems to be dried out significantly and the ink is definitely no longer able to be used. It is over 100 years old, after all! The box has a split on the bottom from age but is still in sound and solid condition. Enjoy!

ESTATE SALE FIND Late 1920’s early 1930’s EDISON-DICK MIMEOGRAPH MACHINE#72. The drum turns and it appears to be restorable. The brass plate shows several patent dates with the last being 10/9/28 and the serial number is 19288 followed by a star. The date code the supplies label is 04/31. I’ve been unable to find much info on the model#72. This is heavy(16 ½ lbs without packing) and is 8” X 14” without handle) X 8” I know nothing about these other than the basic’s so please look and ask questions. Thanks for looking and good luck. What a wonderful piece of history. This piece of memorabilla is in fantastic shape. This old mimeograph machine is an Edison Mimeograph made by the A.B. Dick Co. of Chicago. The patent label on the top of wooden box has the last patent date of 1902. The box itself is in very good shape. Not damaged or broken in any way. The front of box has the#61. The box contains all pieces to the mimograph including the sheets of paper to produce copys. The papers are old and brittle. All the boards. Slates, instructions are in very good shape. The ink roller is included but the roller itself is dried and hard. There is even an old, used, tube of ink. RARE! Unique Collection Memorabilia Vintage 1928 Edison- Dick No.30 Mimeograph. Manufactured by the AB Dick Company Hard Copy Operating Instructions Included! A.B.Dick's mimeograph process became part of the of the U.S. vocabulary. Nearly all needs for duplicated copy was done on the mimeograph. As technology became more available. The mimeograph continued to evolve around the basic ideas of the process. Throughout the Great Depression, two world wars, and other major changes taking place in a dynamic society-A.B.Dick Company grew by meeting the needs of a market it had created, and by continued research and development. In 1924 stencil was improved again. And the"hill" dry stencil was introduced. It was the basic stencil, which changed only in minor detail all the way through the modern era. This an original untouched Edison Rotary Mimeograph no. 77. serial no. 4522. Pat. 1912. Cylinder does work and wood is uncleaned or polished etc. Weighs about 35lbs. This is first machine to perform duplication. AB Dick co. was founded in 1884 in Chicago and created the duplicator process. 1886 Edison Mimeograph by A.B. Dick Company No.1, Chicago
This Edison Mimeograph by A.B. Dick is a great piece of history. It is in very good shape for its age. If you had stencil paper and a stylus. You could probably go to work. The case has several scratches and a few small chips around the edges. The top back right corner has been chipped. It has what appears to be ink smudges in various places inside and outside the case. There are a couple small paint drops near the front opening and a few on the inside lip. The blotter board has 2 cracks but is still solid and should be usable. The printing frame is in good condition except some ink smudges and some green residue stuck across the bottom of bottom board. It is marked"Edison Mimeograph Attachment for Type Writers, Pat Applied For" and is stamped with the number"12" The roller is still pliable with just a small tear on the ... moreend. The Edison Mimeograph- Designed & Patented By Mr.Thomas A. Edison - A.B.Dick Co.
This is the Edison Mimeograph which was for printing papers. It was originally designed and patented by Thomas A. Edison. This one was made by A.B. Dick Company from Chicago. I'm not sure of its age. The wood box is very well made with dovetail joints on the corners. The one slate inside is cracked and most likely could be fixed or replaced. The problem is there is still ink inside that has hardened but if you press on it you will leave a fingerprint. I don't want to try to clean it up. So whoever buys it will have to figure out how to soften and remove that ink and then fix the slate. Once it is restored I'm sure it could once again be used to print papers.

Vintage Edison-Dick Mimeograph Ink Can No. 1767 For Closed Cylinder
For sale is a vintage. 1/2 pound can of Edison-Dick Mimeograph Ink, No. 1767 for closed cylinders. This can is in fair condition, as it does have some rust, a hole in the back, and a fair amount of soiling. I do think it would clean up a little better than what it is now. I don't think these cans are very common and I'm guessing that this is from the 1920s or early 1930s. This was made by D a B Dick company from Chicago. Please see the pictures for the actual condition of the can. The canned measures approximately 4 1/2 inches tall and 2 1/2 inches wide. This can was found in an old box of stuff in 100-year-old shoe store in Michigan. This is a 1906 Edison's Rotary Mimeograph Machine in good condition. The carrying case features metal hooks that fasten to the wooden base of the machine. The drum is intact and all parts appear to be working. Metal is free of rust and wood is in good condition. This is a fine addition to any printmakers collection. The A.B. Dick Company of Chicago manufactured these for Edison. I have not weighed this as yet and will not know shipping until this and the location of the buyer is established. Up for sale is an antique A.B. Dick Edison rotary mimeograph machine. Model 76. Purchased from an elderly man whose wife used it to make church fliers until she passed away a few years ago. The unit has significant wear to wooden parts. And some corrosion to metal parts. Missing one round foot piece. Dirty/inky(needs to be cleaned) Cover is highly corroded. The gears to appear to work/turn. I was told it functioned recently but lack the equipment or know-how to test it. I suspect with some cleaning and attention it would restore rather well. Along with ink roller, Edison varnish bottle, roll of Edison stencil paper. The inking slate and printing frame are stamped Made by A.B. Dick Co. Pat. May 28. 1889. Rare vintage Thomas Edison& AB Dick Co. Mimeograph machine with metal cover. Item is nice condition for over 100 years old. Item have nice wood finish and many labels. Some historical information: EDISON ROTARY MIMEOGRAPH NO. 76 A.B. DICK COMPANY WAS FOUNDED IN 1884 IN CHICAGO ILLINOIS. BY A MAN NAMED ALBERT BLAKE DICK ON JACKSON BLVD. BUSINESS THEN WAS STILL PREDOMINANTLY DONE ON A HAND WRITTEN BASIS. THERE WAS NO SUCH MACHINE AS A MIMEOGRAPH. HOW THAT INVENTION CAME ABOUT IS WELL DOCUMENTED. Edison Rotary Mimeograph 75 by A B Dick Co. Circa 1904
This is an Edison Rotary Mimeograph Model 75 built by the A. B. Dick Company of Chicago. Albert Blake Dick invented the mimeograph stencil in 1884. Later he acquired Edison's patents and in 1887 began producing the Edison Rotary Mimeograph. This particular unit was bought new and used well into the 1940's by a local bank in the Village of Luck. Wisconsin. The lady this was purchased from worked at the bank in the 40's. When old 75 was replaced with a newer model mimeograph, she took 75 home and kept it safe for nearly 7 decades. The Model 75 seems to be a little scarcer than most. This machine is very clean and does not have any broken parts. The cover latches, the legs are original and all decals are intact. RARE Orig 1800s Thomas Edison Mimeograph Printing " STYLUS PEN " Hard To Find!
Note: the photos showing the directions of how the stylus pen was used with this Edison set is not included in the auction. The auction is for the stylus tool only! This is RARE! It's an original stylus/pen used in the Thomas Edison mimeograph set that was made in the 1880s! It appears that the the handle is made of wood painted black. Surrounded by a medal embossed piece and then a pointed metal stylus tip inserted into the wood. It is in excellent shape with some roughness near the metal ring in the black paint. The tip and in the rest of the pen/stylus appear perfect! It is approximately 6 inches long! I have no reserve!

Edison-Dick No. 78 Model B Mimeograph Machine ANTIQUE & VERY RARE
This auction is for an antique Edison-Dick Mimeograph machine. The A.B. Dick Co. was founded in 1884 in Chicago. Ill. by a young lumberman named Albert Blake Dick. Business at that time was still predominately done on a handwritten basis. There was no machine such as a Mimeograph, so it became necessary to invent one. How that came about is well documented and so is the fact that Thomas Alva Edison’s ideas were key in forming the world’s first duplicator. The“Edison-Dick Mimeograph” This simple machine created an industry. A.B. Dick Company began to sell Edison Rotary Mimeograph systems in 1900. In 1909. A.B. Dick Co. claimed that the Edison Rotary Mimeograph No. 75 could produce 2,000 perfect copies from a stencil at a rate of 45 to 50 copies a minute. For printing, the prepared stencil was attached to the exterior of the perforated hollow ... moremetal drum. As the drum was turned, ink was extruded through the stencil to sheets of paper fed under the drum. This Mimeograph machine appears complete with all handles. Buttons, and cranks freely moving.
