An antique lever-style table top cast iron BALTIMORE printing press. It is marked"Baltimore" in cast letters on the frame. I believe this is a Baltimore model number 11(this model was designed for two ink rollers) Top ink plate is missing. No ink rollers. Measures approximately 14" long x 6.5" wide x 9" high(when open) The platen measures approximately 3 x 5" The inside chase measures approximately 4" x 2 3/8' Made of cast iron. Black with gold-colour painted accents. Printing press has significant paint chipping and wear to painted areas. Surface rust on unpainted metal. See photos for details. Antique Baltimore Miniature Table Top Printing Press / Letterpress, Cast-Iron
Up for purchase is a antique Baltimore printing press. No model number or additional info in casting. Small table top model measures approx. 15" long& 7" wide. May be missing parts so please check pics carefully. I believe there should be an ink roller assembly but it is not present. There are a pair of spring loaded rods with hooks that attach to something? The"L" shaped piece of cast needs a bolt to be reattached as seen. I don't see any broken or repaired cast iron. Antique Baltimore #10 Printing Press
This is a very nice example of an antique Baltimore#10 Self-Inking Table Top Printing Press. Produced late 1800 to early 1900's. This highly collectible press is in very good working order, all the functional parts of the press itself are included, with the exception of the roller, which always deteriorate over time but can still be purchased. This piece still retains the majority of it's flat black finish and gilded embellishments. There is, of course, some rust which can easily be removed if desired(we have not cleaned this press with the exception of simply wiping off the dust) While this press is no longer manufactured, instructions for the operation and spare parts can be found on the internet. The platen of this press measures 4 3/4 inches wide x 3 inches tall, and the inside chase measures 4 1/2 wide 3 inches tall. Antique Cast Iron Baltimore No.10 Tabletop PRINTING PRESS Letterpress
Here is an antique Baltimorean number 10 table top platen letterpress printing press. It's made of cast iron- very heavy at 15 lbs- and seems to be in very good condition. I don't know anything about printing presses. But it looks as if all the parts are there and in working order. The rubber roller is not dried out, but has a small dent in it& a replacement metal end. No rust other than on the underside of the base. Most of the gold painted trim is still good, the only worn off paint is on the handle. There is type inserted in it; various letters spelling out the words'name, address, phone' etc. apparently for printing out service cards. It measures approx. 15" long and 10" tall.There are manuals and parts for this press online; do a Google search. Still a useful item after 100 years or more. Or to add to a ... morecollection. Turn of the Century Letterpress A wonderful turn of the century letterpress marked"Baltimore No. 9" with most of its original black paint and gold trim detail. This letterpress is hand operated with a lever and the plate measures 3 5/8" x about 2 5/8" Overall in very good aged condition with a good deal of dust as well as some rust in places it is in need of a proper cleaning if it is to be used. The spring loaded holders for the roller are functional and when the lever is depressed for printing the roller will move up to be re-inked. A fantastic collectible either for use or display. Its largest dimensions are nearly 8" tall. 14" long, 6" wide, and weighs over 6 pounds. It also has a screw hole on either side of the lever as it is meant to be mounted on a desk. You are bidding on an antique. Cast iron Baltimore tabletop printing press, a box containing hundreds of type set letters, and a large box to contain the printing press itself. The press is missing two ink rollers, though they may be found and purchased online, and there is also a separate piece that seems to have been a part of the machine(picture 8) but otherwise everything else seems to be present. There is rust in some places. Also in the box is a tiny cylindrical box containing some kind of silver-colored powder(picture 10) Depending on what position the handle on the printing press is in. Baltimore #10 Printing Press In Original Shipping Box Plus Type
Fresh from a local estate is an antique Baltimore#10 printing press. It was found in it's original box. One side has the label. As pictured. The other side, the label has long since flaked off. There is also another piece, as shown, I'm guessing to cut lettering, but not sure. I am not sure if the press is complete, but I photographed everything found in the box. Inside the box is hundreds of lettering in various fonts and sizes. There is also several blocks, one for Hoods Sasparilla and two that seem to be carved wood of gay nineties dancer. One is stamped on the back V. Grottenthaler, Phila. A really cool piece. Shipping will be high due to the weight of the type. The machine is also very heavy. Being sold as found, very dirty. BALTIMORE #5 PRINTING PRESS cast iron, original brayer, type case, wood box
We ship to the U.S. 48 only. Baltimore#5 rail printing press in original box with many accessories. Cast iron press is in excellent condition. No breaks or repair, has its type chase, most of its gold highlighting still intact. Top slide out two section tray contains a covered type case with some but not complete type. In the front section is a type tweezer, two wood containers, one is gold bronze the other is silver bronze. A third metal container may contain ink, not sure. A brush is included to apply the powder. A large round piece of finished wood is also there, I don't know the use. Also included is a original cast iron ink brayer, the roller is unuseable. The press box has a nice paper label on one side, dovetail corners, box shows use, ageing and wear and is missing its top lid. Everything is in as found condition.
