The Printer measures about 16" inches long 7" inches wide and stand 9.5" inches tall. the disc is 4" inches in diameter. Printing plate about 3-1/4th by 5" not sure if that is the total printing area. There are no visible names or markings but looks to be quality made. Missing rollers and one washer looks like it may need replacing. Not a printer expert and this printer is untested so selling as found as is. Please ask any questions before buying.

There are a pair of spring loaded rods with hooks that attach to something? The"L" shaped piece of cast needs a bolt to be reattached as seen. I don't see any broken or repaired cast iron. Up for auction today is a co ol O riginal Antique Table Top Calling Card or Business Card Printing Press! This little press is cast iron. And still carries much of its origi nal green and red paint! I t mea sures approx. 7 1/4" long x 5 1/2" wide. It stands on 4 small legs or feet. Each of wh ich are notched so it can be mounted on a table. With the handle in the upright position it stands approx. 6 1/2" tall. The handle is spring-loaded. And move s the type set block f rom the ink pad to t he pad that holds the card or paper. The type set block is wood with 6 lines for letters and a screw to hold it to the mechanism. The whole me chanism works fine. And the spring still has pretty good tension. Vintage 1950's Craftsmen Machinery Co.Boston.Mass. cast iron table top printing press. I believe it is the Victory model. Approximate measurements to farthest points in all directions are 24" long x 11" wide x 20" height. The piece that holds the paper is 8" x 5 1/2" The press appears to this novice eye to be all original and in working order. I would prefer local pick up but I would ship it for whatever the UPS store would charge to pack and ship. I haven't weighed it but shipping weight would be probably be in the 60 pound range. WHEN THE HANDLE IS IN THE UPPER POSITION THE PRESS OPENS UP AND THE ROLLER ARMS MOVE DOWN ACROSS THE PRINTING BLOCK. We were not able to find any manufacturers marks or any other identifying marks on the cast iron. It does have some remnants of the original painted decorations on both sides. This printing press has not been cleaned– I wiped it down gently with a soft cloth– it would benefit greatly from some detailed attention. This old piece measures 9 ¾” long with the handle in the“down” position. Stands about 4 ¼” tall at the front, and is 7 ¾” ... moretall at the top of the handle when it is in the“up” position. When the handle of the press is down and the two plates move towards each other, the space between the two is just under ½” wide. The flat top area for the ink measures 3 ¼” x 2 ½” The two flat plates that come together for the printing measure 3 ½” x 2 3/8” each. There is a screw in the front plate that turns freely. The flat bottom mounting plate has 2 pre-drilled holes. Everything moves freely and there are not broken parts. The press has no breaks. Cracks, chips, or real rust– the old original black paint is worn and chipped off and as a result there is some light rust coloring left behind that will clean off pretty well. Antique Table Top Card Printing Press This little vintage printing press is from the 1800's. It's made of heavy cast iron- no model or maker's mark that I can find. There is some paint loss and crazing to the finish. But it is still sturdy and parts move easily. NOTE: I'm not sure that it's a salesman sample- so please be aware that I am NOT selling it as such. If you have any information about this piece. Please feel free to share. If it's not a salesman sample. I believe it might have been used for printing calling cards of the kind that people in the 19th century used. Much as we use business cards today. The shape of the blotter area seems to indicate that. Measurements: Base is about 7 1/4" L x 5 1/2" W. The part I think is the inking pad is a 3" x 2" rectangle. Vintage Kelsey Mercury Model 3 x 5 Table Top Printing Press
This Kelsey cast iron table top printer is a Mercury model and prints a 3 x 5 size. It retains it's original paint and all parts move freely. I am not an expert with these so please examine my picture closely to make your own judgement if there are any missing parts. I believe there is a round metal disc missing from the top. Other than that. I am not sure. There are no breaks or cracks in the cast iron. It is very heavy and measures 17" long. The nice old piece of Maple it is mounted on measures 23" long. There is no reserve.
