Co" And is stamped"The Hamilton Mfg Co Two Rivers Wis" and"New Departure Patented" It has 89 compartments in the following sizes: 2 1.25 x 1.75 31 1.25 x 2 2 1.25 x 2.25 28 1.25 x 3 11 1.25 x 4 14 2.25 x 4 1 2.75 x 6.25 This is a piece of used commercial equipment and has scratches. Ink stains, and other signs of use. The original paper lining is mostly intact but has a few small pieces missing. Nice Wood Letterpress Printers Type Cabinet
Letterpress printer's type cabinet measures appx 25 inches wide by 24 inches deep 44" tall. Flat Top. It has 25 partitioned drawers. Plenty of room for type or organizing scrapbook materials. Screws, collectibles etc. The drawers pull out completely so you can carry them to where you are working. It is a medium oak color.The cabinet is primarily oak. I don't know what type of wood the back and drawer partitions are made of. Hamilton cast drawer pulls in really good condition. You can see from the photos that there is wear. Various nicks and marks on the cabinet but overall it is in good condition and I think it's really quite clean when compared with similar cases. So i t may need some touching up but I really don't feel it needs refinishing. Solid construction. This was purchased from an antique shop in northern California ... morein the early 90's. Measures 9"W. 17 1/2" H, 12"D. 8 drawers for handsome organizer for jewelry or other smalls. I only have 9 of the copper petitions but you can probably have some thin stock made up for your own purposes. Some of the finishes needed cleaning and enhancement. 3 coats of spray lacquer on everything. Very slight roughness at the left back corner as shown. LUDINGTON, MICH. as stated on the metal drawer handles. Tubbs was a major manufacturer of wood type in Connecticut from 1878. After Charles Tubb’s death, the business moved to Ludington, Michigan in 1903. It was bought by The Hamilton Manufacturing Company in 1909. This cabinet holds all kinds of printer type and the center drawers holds miscellaneous printing supplies. T his printers type cabinet measures 44 1/2" tall by 72 7/8" wide and 29 1/2" long. There are three columns of drawers on this cabinet. The left column drawers measure 21 7/8” wide by 1 1/2” ... morehigh and 16 3/4” long. That column has 25 drawers and 14 of them are missing label holders. The middle column drawers measure 9 1/8” wide by 22 7/9” long and 3 7/8” high and three of the drawers are missing label holders. That column has 10 drawers. The right column drawers measure 32 3/8” wide by 16 3/4” long and 1 1/2” high. That column has 25 drawers and missing one label holder. In the middle column. It also includes 19 small wooden boxes for storage. They measure 3 7/8” wide, 4 1/4” long and 3 3/8” high. Both of the left and right drawers have dividers of all sizes to accomodate the printing type. This printer cabinet is in good and sturdy condtion except for the wood being worn on the bottom back corners. There are scruffs and scratches seen on this cabinet. A vintage Hamilton 20-drawer Printers Cabinet with original drawers and pulls for your consideration. The cabinet is in good working order. One drawer has some of its dividers broken(see photo) The bottom drawer doesn't have any small dividers but just one divider in the middle. The other drawers have the original small dividers. LUDINGTON, MICH. as stated on the metal drawer handles. Tubbs was a major manufacturer of wood type in Connecticut from 1878. After Charles Tubb’s death, the business moved to Ludington, Michigan in 1903. It was bought by The Hamilton Manufacturing Company in 1909. This cabinet holds all kinds of printer type and the center drawers holds miscellaneous printing supplies. T his printers type cabinet measures 44 1/2" tall by 72 7/8" wide and 29 1/2" long. There are three columns of drawers on this cabinet. The left column drawers measure 21 7/8” wide by 1 1/2” ... morehigh and 16 3/4” long. That column has 25 drawers and 14 of them are missing label holders. The middle column drawers measure 9 1/8” wide by 22 7/8” long and 3 7/8” high and three of the drawers are missing label holders. That column has 10 drawers. The right column drawers measure 32 3/8” wide by 16 3/4” long and 1 1/2” high. That column has 25 drawers and missing one label holder. In the middle column. It also includes 19 small wooden boxes for storage. They measure 3 7/8” wide, 4 1/4” long and 3 3/8” high. Both of the left and right drawers have dividers of all sizes to accomodate the printing type. This printer cabinet is in good and sturdy condtion except for the wood being worn on the bottom back corners. There are scruffs and scratches seen on this cabinet. The case will include all of the letters as shown in the photos. Each of the 5 drawers is full with individual boxes for each letter. The exterior of the drawers show the sizes of the letters that are present. 1/8, 3/16, 5/16, 1/4, 3/8. The cabinet measures 21.5” long. 15.5” deep, and 11.5” tall. The cabinet is in overall good condition. There are the typical scratches and scuffs around the exterior. Along with a partial ring stain on the top, and on the rear bottom corner there is a chip in the wood. The case could be used for jewelry/ watch repair tools. Antique Vintage Industrial Age HAMILTON MFG CO. 50 Drawer Wood Block Printers Cabinet. These were designed to hold the wood printers block type sets as I was told. This one was a barn find outside Chicago. It was likely one of at least three like sets of cabinets because the number group on this cabinet is 51 to 100 with drawer 57 having been substituted for drawer 106 out of the next high group of numbers from the next higher cabinet. Being as such this cabinet would have likely been a a very large printing establishment in or around Chicago. There are dings. Scratches, and all other cosmetic issues but it is a 100 plus year old cabinet anyone looking at this listing proablely are not looking for smothing new. Most of the drawers open smoothly but there are a few that you have to pull a little harder. In the future I will pull the cabinet ... moreout to take better photos. The Diminsions are: Cabinet 21" Deep X 35 1/2" Wide X 84" Tall. Drawer Outside 1 3/4" Deep X 32" Long X 16 1/2" Back. Drawer Inside 1" Deep X 31" Long X 15 Back. The drawers are divided down the middle with 14 3/4" X 15" on each side of the divide in the drawer. When you walk into the room you notice this printers cabinet. This will be a"Local Pick-Up" only.
