c.1920 Set of 2 Antique Copper Etched Printing Plates
Set of two copper printing plates. Both made circa 1924. The first is an advertisement for the Philadelphia Truss Rod Co. detailing the manner in which their product can prevent hernias. The piece measures 2.5" wide, 3.75" long, and 1" tall. The copper has a wooden block onto which it's mounted. The engraving is in excellent condition, still readily legible, with very little oxidizing. The other plate depicts two workers in some sort of factory. There is slight wear on this piece, mostly around the edges. It's a difficult piece to get an accurate photograph of, but the piece is largely in good condition. It measures 5.25" x 4.25" MB2-4. My scale computes to the nearest gram and it has been tested and calibrated. All my items are measured with a standard tape measure and are rounded off to the quarter inch. I attempt to be as accurate as possible. But odd surfaces can prove difficult sometimes as I lack a pair of calipers. I do not take apart or clean anything after listing an item. It is up to the new owner to clean silver and other metals. I am happy to ship overseas. But be aware of your country's customs laws. I have had items returned at considerable expens

Françoise Prévost(c. 1680– 1741) was a French ballerina who helped establish dramatic dance in the early world of classical. She was expressive. Light and dramatic in style. Prevost debuted at the in the ballet. Atys. Later replacing as the female lead. In 1708. She performed with in the final scene of Corneille's Les Horaces. The performance. Though only of the final scene of the play and entirely in pantomime, is said to have caused the audience to weep.

These are 2. Mid 1900's'photolithograph' printing plates(at least we're pretty sure that's what they are-correct us if we're off on this! They are from the 1940's, made of zinc, and quite large-13" X 9 1/2" so they'd have been for printing pictures for a large book, magazine, or newspaper. Each one depicts a scene that looks European-one shows parliament buildings and canals and the other shows a wheat harvest with people, children, animals, and country scenery. Please look at all of my pictures carefully as these are older and in USED condition! One has 2 corners'nipped' off. Each one has a hole punched in the top for hanging, and each has wear and USE-backs show some grunge and corrosion too. Also. They feature everything from drillbits, two different size fits two little bit of everything. These plates are very heavy and weigh approximately 2 to 3 pounds per plate with the entire lot being over 40 lbs. They have a very industrial feel to them, and and lend themselves for a lot of different uses including possible jewelry, steam punk use, wall art, or worst-case they could be scrapped. Five Antique Copper Printing Plates from NYC Company
Unfortunately. Because these are etched and old, it's very hard to capture the amazing detail in photographs. All five plates are from a NYC printing press called the Crosby Press, Inc. 30 Ferry St. NYC. One plate is the Seasons Greetings card from the press. Two plates have scenes and no writing. Three plates have Seasons Greetings, and one also bears the names of the senders. Very classic Victorian. Beautiful, heavy copper. These could be repurposed in some amazing way. Three plates are 4 1/4" wide x 3" tall. One is 4x5. Oe is 5 1/2" x 2 1/4"

This auction is for 3 antique metal and wood stamp printing blocks or plates. The small one(1 in. by 2 in) is a metal shoe on a wood block. It is numbered 5402 and is in good condition. The one to your right in the picture is 2 1/4 in. by 2 3/4 in. is a metal plate which says"Mummy and I always wear the same shoes. It has a picture of a little girl and her Mom trying on shoes with a salesman. It is in good condition. And the last one is cut out metal(I think) on a wood block measuring 3 in. by 3 in. The wood block is shaved on the edges to fit the scene. It has the street sign posts of 5th Ave. and 33rd St. I believe that is a picture of the Empire State Building in the background. For sale is a set of 6 newspaper plates. Each plate is a variant advertisement for Columbia Quarry. Washington Avenue, St. Louis, MO. They are made of photo engraver's metal and are marked so on the back. Each plate measures approximately 4 1/8" x 4" but each varies a little due to the different ads. As a St. Louis resident I can't imagine an operational quarry in downtown St. Louis so these may be old. Most of the plates are in good shape but one does have white paint residue on it. This piece was dedicated to the"Acorn Club" Sharon, PA and originally cost $.50. Couch& Holden published the piece and were located at 143 Federal Street in Allegheny, PA. Vintage Lucille Green Archery Gun Target Shooting printing press plates Aluminum
Up for auction is a lot of 4 vintage printing press plates featuring images designed by Lucille Green. These plates are in good condition showing no signs of excessive wear or damage. They do show some signs of wear from being stored and used in the past. But nothing too severe. Could use a good cleaning. They are made out of sheet aluminum so they are very light and easy to carry. They are sharp around the edges though so care should be taken in handling them. These plates were originally used to print paper targets used for bow hunting. Each measures about 2 feet tall by 1 1/2 feet wide. That is a rough estimate though and each one is a little different in size since they have been modified multiple times. Great find! 5 Vintage 30s/40s Brass Printing Plates,Industrial Machines,Pedrick T. & M. Co.
Five vintage 1930's/1940's or earlier industry industrial machinist printer print printing metal master die block plate. They are made of copper. Brass or bronze. They are images of some types of heavy duty cast iron floor machine machines from a machine shop. The printer's printing shop mounting holes are around the edge. The first one(4" by 3" shows a machine with an electric motor, lots of heavy toothed gears and pulleys with"Pedrick T. M. Co. backwards) at bottom right. The next one is square and measures 3 1/2" by 3 3/8" and features a round top piece of equipment. The next one measures 3 5/8" tall by 2 3/4" wide by 1/16" thick and has a slight bend to it. The machine depicted is unusual. One measures 2 5/8" by 4 1/4" by 1/16" thick and it is in excellent condition. The ... moremachine pictured looks a very large cast iron floor mounted production equipment. One printing die shows some wear and bending to the"arm" of the machine.
