An antique lever-style table top cast iron BALTIMORE printing press. It is marked"Baltimore" in cast letters on the frame. I believe this is a Baltimore model number 11(this model was designed for two ink rollers) Top ink plate is missing. No ink rollers. Measures approximately 14" long x 6.5" wide x 9" high(when open) The platen measures approximately 3 x 5" The inside chase measures approximately 4" x 2 3/8' Made of cast iron. Black with gold-colour painted accents. Printing press has significant paint chipping and wear to painted areas. Surface rust on unpainted metal. See photos for details. It moves properly when the handle is lifted. Weighs about 11 or 12 lbs. Mounted on a wood base. Could use a cleaning and some lubrication. Antique Kelsey Excelsior 3 x 5 Inch Letterpress Printing Press + Bonus Typeset
Up for auction is a really cool antique 3 x 5 inch Excelsior printing press by Kelsey& Co. of Meriden. Connecticut. Also a set of very fancy font type in a wooden type set box. One picture illustrates how ornate the lettering is, it reminds me of calligraphy. I don't know the letter model of the press for sure so I will describe everything in detail in conjunction with the many pictures I provided. It weighs 24 pounds and is made of cast iron with a black coat of paint and some painted gold lettering as well as a couple gold designs. The base measures 11.5 inches, the entire press is roughly 20 inches long including the protruding part behind the plate and the plate diameter is 5 7/8 inches. The patent date states is was patented April, 6, 1893. The'9' digit is hard to make it and I can't be positive that t is a'9' ... morebut I believe so)Following that there are patent numbers for England, France and Germany. The pictures should include enough angles so you can see all of the hardware. The press opens and closes like it should. But the rectangle that should hold the type tilts slightly and the two rectangles aren't perfectly parallel when the handle is pressed down and they separate. However, when you close the press they eventually become flush but it doesn't make initial square contact. It appears something just needs to be tightened or adjusted(pictures 4& 5) The sections where the rollers should be pivot down over the plate when the handle is pushed down. The plate spins freely when I move it but operating the press doesn't rotate it automatically. Condition: This was stored in a barn for decades. It needs a little TLC. You can plainly see there is plenty of surface rust but the black coat of paint over the cast iron is largely intact. The rust isn't deep or pitted, just on the surface. Some of the gold lettering and detail has worn or rusted over, but again it is largely intact. Cosmetically the iron is in wonderful condition and the mechanics seem to be functioning.

Antique Baltimore Miniature Table Top Printing Press / Letterpress, Cast-Iron
Up for purchase is a antique Baltimore printing press. No model number or additional info in casting. Small table top model measures approx. 15" long& 7" wide. May be missing parts so please check pics carefully. I believe there should be an ink roller assembly but it is not present. There are a pair of spring loaded rods with hooks that attach to something? The"L" shaped piece of cast needs a bolt to be reattached as seen. I don't see any broken or repaired cast iron. Extremely Rare Old Press/Duplicator from Standard Mailing Machine Co. Everett. MA This is the New Process Model which uses the Spirit Process of duplication. It measuress 16" X 11" X 10" and weighs 31 lbs. The glass spirit reservoir is in very good shape and removes easily for refill. I know zero about this unit so check the pix for condition and info. Original Antique Small Calling Card Business Card Table Top Printing Press!
Up for auction today is a co ol O riginal Antique Table Top Calling Card or Business Card Printing Press! This little press is cast iron. And still carries much of its origi nal green and red paint! I t mea sures approx. 7 1/4" long x 5 1/2" wide. It stands on 4 small legs or feet. Each of wh ich are notched so it can be mounted on a table. With the handle in the upright position it stands approx. 6 1/2" tall. The handle is spring-loaded. And move s the type set block f rom the ink pad to t he pad that holds the card or paper. The type set block is wood with 6 lines for letters and a screw to hold it to the mechanism. The whole me chanism works fine. And the spring still has pretty good tension. Bought this many years ago at a flea market because I liked the design. It has a circus theme with a band and drum major. Of interest is the"circus theme" depicts an elephant and a donkey pulling the band wagon! This is an advertisement for Robertson Factories. Inc. Apparently,They had 9 factory locations including-Taunton(Mass) Pittsburgh, Detroit, Cleveland, Cincinnati, St. Paul, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Portland, Ore. Antique Sigwalt Letterpress / Printing Press - Marked 10-I *Very Good Condition
Antique Sigwalt Letterpress/ Printing Press- Marked 10-I*Very Good Condition: Up for auction is a fantastic. Heavy cast iron Letterpress which I have discovered recently while out on one of my'picking adventures' Before I begin with the description, picture number 12 shows(2) antique letterpress models which I discovered this past week. Please note that this auction is for the larger press(red handle/ lever) only however the smaller model will also be listed for auction this week so please check out my other listings if you are interested. This press is quite heavy given its smaller size. Weighing right at 13 pounds, and it is in very good condition. When I discovered this press it was quite dusty so I've taken the time to clean up the item but I have not added, removed or replaced any of the parts. The press appears to be complete ... moreand it is fully functional. When I raise the lever, the single roller rolls off of the ink plate and over the chase very smoothly as the ink table is rotated simultaneously by the operating dog. When I lower the lever, the roller rolls back over the the chase and back then back on top of the ink plate with ease. The chase is removable and it fits very snug in the bed. The outside dimensions of the chase are 4" x 2 1/2" and the wooden block which was found with this item measures(slightly under) 3 1/2" x 2" The cast iron body and attached parts are in excellent condition. The cast iron shows no signs of any rust. Deterioration or other damage to it and the paint on this press is in very good condition as well(a couple of small chips but no flaking, peeling or cracking) There are a couple of screws that have light surface rust but this rust is light and it would easily clean away and the single roller has dried out over time and this will need to be replaced. The press is marked 10-I followed by a small hallmark(picture#9) and though I am certainly not an expert in these antique letterpress units, after the research that I have done I believe this to be ma

Antique Monarch Junior Printing Press Retail Store Price Tag Marking System
This is a pretty cool device. It spins and turns. Arm goes up and down, the holer moves back and forth. For the life of me I can't really figure it out. I think there may be a piece missing that holds the stamps. There are many stamps in the draw underneath. They are not organized and my eyes are not that good to do so, I doubt it has all of them but it still adds to the cool factor. I did ID a few that are fractions. The rust seems mostly surface oxidation. Not real rot. The wood is solid is nicely aged with some stains here and there. I always get questions and compliments on this. I don't think there has been a person that has come though my home without giving this a turn.

For sale is a scoop or small galley? that I acquired with some older metal printers type. The estate sale had a printing press and lots of old type and type trays. This was in one of the boxes of type I bought. Not exactly sure what it is but I believe it has something to with printing/printing type. Most of the original japanned finish is gone.
