This listing is for an ANTIQUE MIMEOGRAPH MACHINE- a ROTARY NEOSTYLE NO. 8-F. It was manufactured by Neostyle Sales Agency. New York, USA, a branch of A.B. Dick Company in approximately 1909. The mimeograph machine is housed in its original metal cover. Which has two latches on each side-all four latches work. The outside metal cover has some rust on it and some of the paint is missing on the words"Rotary Neostyle" although you can make out the words if you look closely) but the"No. 8-F" is clearly visible. There are a couple of dents in the top of the cover, but it does not effect the machine. The mimeograph measures 15" by 15.5" on the base and is approximately 16" tall. We are not experts on this machine. But it appears that all the parts are here. The drum turns easily, the handles have the wooden knobs, ... morethe roller is in place for the drum, and the paper tray is included. The machine has an old stencil still attached to the drum, but the stencil is torn. WE HAVE NOT ATTEMPTED TO PRINT ANYTHING. WE REALIZE THAT THIS IS AN ANTIQUE AND SHOULD BE USED BY SOMEONE WHO IS FAMILIAR WITH ANTIQUE MIMEOGRAPHS. From the research we have done. The Neostyle Rotary No. 8-F was designed to print stenciled images or text when placed on the cylinder which is turned by hand and prints on the sheets of paper fed from the bottom. The cylinder has holes much like a strainer and there is a pad tightly clipped to the outside of the cylinder. Then whatever stencil one is using should be clipped on top of that. There is an ink container which is made to ink a brush inside the cylinder. The Rotary Neostyle No. 8F is truly a classic! We hope someone will purchase it who can appreciate its history. Measures about 16" x 14" x 14" Lid fits over it and fastens with little metal hooks. I do not recommend carrying it by the handle it is very heavy.
