This is a etched copper plate mounted on a dense hardwood. The block is 3" x 2-3/4" x 15/16" Photo 4 shows a small scratch that may show up if use these for printing. Otherwise it looks good. The Liberty Head, mounted on a 3 3/8 by 2 inch wood block. Merchant sailing ship loading bales of cotton, mounted on a 3 1/4 by 2 1/2 inches wood block. It looks to be a Sigwalt press, probably made at the turn of the century. The base measures 6 1/4' X 4" Height is about 8 1/2" There is a panel on each side made up of a painted gold and orange/red floral-like design. The gold banding around the base is still visible. As you can see in the pictures, the paper? cover on the plate is not all there. The press moves freely.
