All numbers are there, as well as some others, and the wooden box also has the lid that goes with it. Another great find from an old SC country store that closed up in the mid 1900's. NO RESERVE

ANTIQUE. VINTAGE, MERCHANT’S ECONOMY WOOD BLOCK PRINTING SET, APRIL 1894 Early American Word Processor before typewriters and computers. Patented in the USA in April 1894. Patent#518.515 and in England with Victoria Royal Patent# 8000 in 1894. Made by the E. H. Smith Mfg. Co. Patentees. It has two complete sets of letters. Upper and lower case, also complete set of numbers 1 to 0. Additional blocks for ½. for, and,$, Cent Sign, plus some other stamps. The square shaped ruler is 15 inches long by ½ by 5/8 inches. A metal spacer piece that is used with the ruler to create evenly spaced letters and the Ink Pad. The box is in rough shape. The top opens like a flip top box and is securely fastened. The only item that is missing that I know of is the ink bottle that came with a cork in it. There is also a hard rubber eraser. And a plastic ... morepiece with felt that probably was not with the set originally. This was purchased by my father in 1950 at an auction for a local merchant that had a(REAL) going out of business sale. Tables. Shelving and everything in the store was sold.
