Rare Vintage Keen Kutter Oak& Etched Glass Display Case-Antique Knife-Mirror Fantastic Keen Kutter display case with etched glass front. This etched glass is an anomaly. I have done my research. And can’t find anything that refers to Keen Kutter using the“Kutlery” spelling. I am no expert and maybe someone else has some information on this case. The wood case has minor wear and tear like scuffs and scratches, but looks pretty good for its age, and is strong and intact. It has two sliding wood doors that have mirrored sides inside the case. The doors work and slide well. The case is velvet covered on the inside, and is formed to the contours of the display sections. The velvet is worn away in areas, and stained in sections. There are two wooden drawers that slide in underneath. They are sectioned and have great pull knobs. The top glass ... moreis missing, and the two side glass pieces are broken. Despite this, the case is very strong and stable. I believe the case will travel very well. It appears that the glass could be replaced easily, and has previously been held in with wood strips. Up for auction is a beautifully carved antique Black Forest mirror with beveled edge from the early 1900's. The frame has branches with oak leaves and acorns that wrap around a nice mirror. This piece has fabulous detail. The only flaws that I see with this piece is a small dark spot or discoloration on the left side of the mirror(I tried to get a picture of it, but doesn't show up very well) and four small holes on the back with a round mark(You can see in the last two pictures that show the back of the mirror. It might have had a leg on the back at one time so you could also display the mirror on a shelf which is were these marks might have came from, not sure. The wood is a really pretty maple caramel color and feels really smooth to the touch. There are some minor scratches, and a tiny stain on the back of the mirror. Antique 1870s BLACK FOREST Relief Carved Eagle Top Wood Frame OAK WALL MIRROR
I have up for sale a rare and beautiful vintage circa 1860s- 1880s Black Forest hand carved Hanging Wall Mirror. I believe that the frame is made of Oak- its relief carved with a bird. Possibly an Eagle on top. The bird has a glass eye and the talons are fixed on to a log. It measures approx 26-1/2" measured from the tip of the wing to the bottom of the vertical section of the frame,its approx 17-1/4" wide. The bird itself protrudes outward just over 4" The glass mirror itself measures approx 16-1/4" x 9" The frame is in very nice estate fresh as found condition. I am quite sure that the finish is the old original. Regardless it looks wonderful. It has a nice warm patina and recessed areas have darker coloration. Overall the frame is in Great Condition- other than some wear/small chip to the end tip of the birds beak ... morethe wood is in fantastic shape. Wear is light, the frame was well taken care of. The glass mirror is excellent- no silvering issues- no damages. I see that the bird is attached with 2 screws in the back. When I package it. I will take if off and package it separately. PLEASE HOLD OFF MAKING PAYMENT UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED MY INVOICE. I have not yet packaged and revise my listing in a day or so with for the shipping calculator because at the time of listing I had not yet found a box that will suitably accommodate the frame. ANTIQUE Oak Beveled Glass Shield Mirror Fits Hotel or High Boy
From an estate dispersal and at ebay for your consideration is this nice oak mirror. Use it as is like the last owners did or replace one on a hotel or chevelle dresser. Harp mounting receivers are 16.25 inches apart to the outside edge. This mirror is about 20 inches tall and 16.25 inches wide. Mirrors oak frame has its original finish and the silver is respectively good for its age and does show some age spots. There is one long light scratch on the glass that is not distractive. This is a wonderful antique mirror. The frame is a very unusual shape and is a true solid golden oak. The finish is original, the frame os tight(no cracks, chips or repairs) and in very good condition. The mirror glass i clean and beveled but, has two chips one in each corner at the bottom, see my last three photos) This mirror measures 33 1/2 inches tall by 21 inches wide. Awesome vintage antique OAK Mens Travel shaving Mirror is great condition and made of solid OAK and has a wood back holding the mirror in place. Measure 6 x 8 1/2. there is one black spot in the mirror at the top and the a very small crack in the bottom left hand corner Hard to even notice but must be mentioned.
