Vintage Antique Carved Wood Frame Beveled Glass Oval Mirror Pre-Mid Century
This is a beautiful mirror. You are bidding on an antique oval mirror. This has an oak wooden frame with a top crest of hand carved floral. I believe this is early 20th century. The mirror has a 1" bevel completely around the oval. The back is sealed with a 1/4" piece of wood not plywood. The last picture shows one of the dovetail joints in the frame. This frame was made from four separate pieces of oak which were joined together at those dovetails to make the complete frame. I think this is another sign of the age of this mirror. It has two holes through the front of the frame which were probably used for mounting. It also has one eyelet on the back which was also used for mounting. The second eyelet is gone. The winning bidder will have to develop their own mounting. The complete mirror and frame is 18-3/4" tall and 26" ... morewide. The mirror is 23" by 13-1/2" This is one of the classiest mirrors I have ever had for sale. Please don't email to ask if we would consider selling if for less. My wife really hates to part with it. Antique Vintage Shabby Oval Beveled Mirror With Ornate Metal Frame
This auction is for an antique vintage oval beveled mirror with an ornate metal frame. The frame measures 12" tall and 9" wide. The mirror is 7-1/2 x 5-1/2. The frame has a light misting of rust on it but all of the decoration is intact. The back of the frame holding the mirror in place appears to be brass. It shows surface scratching. Has a dent in the center, and shows some rust, especially at the top. There are four bars which screw into the frame which hold the mirror/backing in place. There are two loops molded into the frame to hold the wire for hanging. The mirror is hazy around the edges and has marks on the surface, the largest which is shown in the last photo. The mirror is beautiful alone or hanging with a collection of antique mirrors.

The mirror frame is light weight and I believe it is some sort of plastic. In very good, used and vintage condition, it measures 12" X 7 1/8" The back is lined with velvet and there is a hook at the top for hanging. Beautiful Antique Oval Wooden Mirror! Purchased this beauty at a local estate sale. Fresh Today! Measures at 18 inches long by 15 inches across the middle. The glass is in Excellent condition. I am not sure what the wood is. It was marked Walnut. But I do not know enough to say for sure. I did put this against CHerry in photo 1 and against Oak in photo 7. So you can see the difference. Very Pretty. The back has some water stains on the bottom. Nothing major. The frame is in Great Shape, but does show some age. Nicks and dings ans some scratches. The back of the mirror is wood with old heavy cardboard filling in the mirror back and held by tiny nails. The frame is in good condition but is old and has a small portion of damage on the design on the center top. There is a tiny tight crack in the outer wood of the frame ... moreon the right top. The carving on this oval antique mirror is a work of art. Carved from four pieces of wood and joined with tongue and groove. We have a beautiful 19th century oval framed mirror. The frame is a very unusual and unnique piece of art. The back of the wood frame has the remnants of a paper label that says"Looking Glass Picture Frame" and then"A. C. H. and then the rest of the label is missing. The hardware holding the mirror in is not original. The original cardboard paper backing came off and is crumbling and we will ship with your order. This is an unusual one. Looks to be a quality piece. It measures 10x6. The back is a pebbled plastic-like stuff. The black is a heavy silky fabric. Mirror is thick an scalloped. The face has a couple of very small scratches. I am stumped by the small brass piece mounted at the bottom. The only ting I can figure is a place put put a hat pin. To the right of it. Is 4 or 5 tiny spots. They are in the mirror, not on it. Please look closely at photos before bidding. Please check the other items in my store. It is marked on the back 217 and in another place it looks like NB+NY- not sure about this mark, the second part is hard read. Might be NV or even IW. I believe it is bronze or brass. I have seen this frame in a larger version many times in cast iron, and those are heavy, but this one is REALLY heavy. You may have seen frames like this that are usually a foot tall or more. This is a little guy. Only 9" tall and 8" across. The frame has been fitted with a mirror which is newer. There are 3 little tabs that more easily on the back. A very fine antique Victorian Louis XV style oval over mantel mirror in the original gilt finish. The compo crest of scrolling acanthus leaves is exceptionally molded. Complete wirhout damage. There are spaced fleur de lis compo ornaments on the cove, the mirror liner as rope. The mirror frame with crest measures 54" wide by 39" tall, mirror 49" wide by 25" tall. Excellent condition: frame without cracks, original gilt finish unworn, slightly worn in one spot on front roll edge. Mirroe without damage, no backing spots, no cloudiness.

This is an original antique THE BRASSCRAFTERS nickel plated oval bathroom vanity mirror. It measures 20 1/2" wide x 12 1/2" high.It has the original beveled glass. There are 2 hanging loop brackets at the top for fastening to the wall.It is marked in 2 places TRADEMARK THE BRASSCRAFTERS PAT. DEC. 29. 1908.It is in very good sturdy condition. There are some age flaws to the mirror glass itself, there is some light peppering in some spots, in the lower edge at the bevel there is some crazing with a bit of lifting to the reflective mirror coating, there are several scratches to the glass and in a couple of spots near the edge where the nickel frame meets the glass there are faint lighter areas beneath the glass. Hard wood board on back. Heavy weighs 20 pounds. Pick up only in the San Diego area. Mirror glass in excellent condition. Up for auction a Old. Antique, Decorative, Oval Shaped, Wood Frame, Mirror/ Picture Frame. Measurers 14 1/8 inches by 12 1/8 inches and the frame is a pp. 2 3/8 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches at the thickest. Beaded with 4 nice decorative pieces all look to be wood. No plaster. Looks to be pretty old from the 1800`s. Looks to have the Original greenish paint/ whitewash finish. But I cannot be sure. Has some chips and cracks in places. see pictures) still very solid. Mirror is intact with no breaks or cracks. Found in an old farmhouse in Maine. It is in need of a cleaning but has great Patina in its present condition. You can`t find a frame with Patina like this in a store.
