This is a very unique(and adjustable) lamp and has"Hubbell" on the switch(see ... morepicture) This item stands about 7" tall without the shade or bulb and around 10" with bulb and shade(came with a 25 watt bulb which is not included) and weighs a bit under two pounds. To my surprise this lamp is adjustable in heigh t. The metal base unscrews to make this lamp go from 7" up to about 9 1/2" 12 1/2" with shade and bulb) This piece shows great patina throughout and is being left to next buyer as to how much cleaning is to be done. The wiring on this lamp is definitely older and may need to be redone. As you can see from one of the pictures it does(or at least did) work when I carefully and cautiously tested it! I cannot guarantee that it will continue to work without rewiring. That being said I am including pictures to show the plug and socket wires. Some fraying of the cloth cover is evident at both ends. I would rather err on the side of being cautious but the rest of the cord seems to be in fairly good shape. No tape jobs or cuts. The"HUBBELL" switch seems to turn nicely and has great on/ off clicks. The shade(which is non metallic) sort of snaps around the bulb. Pictures will show this mechanism on the inside of the shade. I am not sure of the age of this lamp. But I knew it was something different and unique when I saw and obtained it. Hopefully you will too and give it a good home. Rare Vintage Keen Kutter Oak& Etched Glass Display Case-Antique Knife-Mirror Fantastic Keen Kutter display case with etched glass front. This etched glass is an anomaly. I have done my research. And can’t find anything that refers to Keen Kutter using the“Kutlery” spelling. I am no expert and maybe someone else has some information on this case. The wood case has minor wear and tear like scuffs and scratches, but looks pretty good for its age, and is strong and intact. It has two sliding wood doors that have mirrored sides inside the case. The doors work and slide well. The case is velvet covered on the inside, and is formed to the contours of the display sections. The velvet is worn away in areas, and stained in sections. There are two wooden drawers that slide in underneath. They are sectioned and have great pull knobs. The top glass ... moreis missing, and the two side glass pieces are broken. Despite this, the case is very strong and stable. I believe the case will travel very well. It appears that the glass could be replaced easily, and has previously been held in with wood strips. Up for auction is a beautifully carved antique Black Forest mirror with beveled edge from the early 1900's. The frame has branches with oak leaves and acorns that wrap around a nice mirror. This piece has fabulous detail. The only flaws that I see with this piece is a small dark spot or discoloration on the left side of the mirror(I tried to get a picture of it, but doesn't show up very well) and four small holes on the back with a round mark(You can see in the last two pictures that show the back of the mirror. It might have had a leg on the back at one time so you could also display the mirror on a shelf which is were these marks might have came from, not sure. This could be KOA, Rosewood, Teak, Oak etc. I really have no idea. Description: When I picked it up at the Estate Sale. I just thought it was beautiful. Someone who knows wood can probably take a look at the pics and tell exactly what type of wood it is. I can tell you this. The wood is a really pretty maple caramel color and feels really smooth to the touch. There are some minor scratches, and a tiny stain on the back of the mirror. The mirror itself is in excellent shape. Mirror is not beveled. Has a nice weight to it where it wont tire out your hand or arm in my opinion. Antique 1870s BLACK FOREST Relief Carved Eagle Top Wood Frame OAK WALL MIRROR
I have up for sale a rare and beautiful vintage circa 1860s- 1880s Black Forest hand carved Hanging Wall Mirror. I believe that the frame is made of Oak- its relief carved with a bird. Possibly an Eagle on top. The bird has a glass eye and the talons are fixed on to a log. It measures approx 26-1/2" measured from the tip of the wing to the bottom of the vertical section of the frame,its approx 17-1/4" wide. The bird itself protrudes outward just over 4" The glass mirror itself measures approx 16-1/4" x 9" The frame is in very nice estate fresh as found condition. I am quite sure that the finish is the old original. Regardless it looks wonderful. It has a nice warm patina and recessed areas have darker coloration. Overall the frame is in Great Condition- other than some wear/small chip to the end tip of the birds beak ... morethe wood is in fantastic shape. Wear is light, the frame was well taken care of. The glass mirror is excellent- no silvering issues- no damages. I see that the bird is attached with 2 screws in the back. When I package it. I will take if off and package it separately. PLEASE HOLD OFF MAKING PAYMENT UNTIL YOU HAVE RECEIVED MY INVOICE. I have not yet packaged and revise my listing in a day or so with for the shipping calculator because at the time of listing I had not yet found a box that will suitably accommodate the frame. Very nice condition. One small spot on the finish on the wood tray is worn. You can see it in the picture. The mirror shows age. Not chipped or cracked. You can see faint blotches that are typical of old mirrors but does not affect looking in it or the appearance.Most of what you see in the mirror is reflection. I believe the base is oak but my husband is away and he usually confirms for me. I know its a hard wood. Not pine. It has a nice brown finish. The Mirror is beveled. It stand just under 12" tall and wide. There is a place to put you cuff links.Tie clips ect. It looks like a Men's Vanity mirror but It looks beautiful on any dresser, even a woman's. Gorgeous Turn Of The Century Oak Mirror With Beveled Glass and Original Silvered Back This is a Buy it Now for a Gorgeous Oak Mirror with beveled glass The Frame is in excellent condition and is very solid. no flexing or loose joints The Finial at the top is part of the frame so it is quite strong and not just stuck on there. The mirror is Original Silvered finish with bevel all around the perimeter of the Glass This Mirror has been Professionally reset in the frame and is nice and secure The back as well was restored with pieces of wood replaced on mirror side of the veneering I tried to take enough close ups so You can see how nice the frame is. The usual minor fading and small spots indicative of a real silver mirror are present These minor defects are hardly noticeable and only add character.
