It measures 38" wide at its widest point and is 24" high. The mirror itself measures 14" x 9.5" and the shelf is 5" deep. The mirror has been replaced and the patinaed brass coat hooks may or may not be original to the piece. The Eastlake Victorian frame appears to be in excellent vintage condition. This piece features a swivel mirror and storage drawer, sitting atop a ringed, minimally fluted central column with a wonderfully carved tripod base. Antique Federal Brass/Bronze Mirror
This is an outstanding brass/bronze federal period mirror in original(as found) condition. The mirror has many interesting parts. At the top is an American Eagle perched on an oval(1.5" by 2" containing what appear to be the remnants of a heraldic crest. Under the crest is a larger oval 8.5” by 6.75" mirror also in original untouched condition. At the bottom of the mirror is a thirteen star shield representing the 13 original colonies. The back of the shield reads“Design Patented Nov. 25 1862” In total. The mirror measures 19" by 11.5” and weighs about 7.5 pounds. Please look closely at the photos as they tell the story, but if you have any questions feel free to e-mail me. It would be very simple to polish this mirror with Brasso and have it looking shiny and new, but many people value the old patina so I have changed ... morenothing. 1940's VINTAGE VANITY TRAY. 1940's era heavy. Sturdy metal vanity tray. The sides are an embossed brass-plated metal and the handles are solid brass. There are no black spots on the mirror and no cloudiness. No cracks or chips. There is a little VERY FAINT age foxing that you can only see if you hold the mirror up close and tilt it in a certain light. This is very difficult to see and definitely doesn't detract from the great looks of this vintage piece. There are a couple small spots on the side where the brass plating wore off(and the metal underneath is actually a brighter gold- SEE LAST PHOTO) And the velvet on the BOTTOM SIDE is in bad shape, however there's still enough left to make the tray totally non-skid, so this doesn't have to be replaced since it can not be seen when displaying(or could be easily replaced, ... moreif desired, with some non-stretch velvet or felt and a little all-purpose glue) There are no dings, dents or rust to the metal. Antique art nouveau small brass wall mirror with 2 candle sconces
This is a charming small art nouveau wall mirror and 2 adjustable candle sconces. They are connected to the center of the frame with a bolt and ball nut that I do not feel are original although it has always been there for the 25 years that I have had the piece. It is all brass and has the face of a cherub at top center and on the back has a cast in loop to pass a wire through for hanging. The mirror is held in place by a metal strip screwed to the frame. The mirror is in perfect condition and measures 4" x 1 1/4" The complete length is 9 1/4" x 4 1/4" at widest part of frame. The sconces when fully extended are 8" and I will leave them that way for shipping. There are no identifying marks on it. I do not accept returns or give refunds. PAIR LARGE ANTIQUE TALL ITALIAN VENETIAN GILT IRON BRASS WALL MIRROR PALLADIO?
We are very pleased to offer this magnificent pair of antique(1920s-1940s) mirrors. These large mirrors feature beautiful gilted iron and brass frames. They are very much in the Palladio. Italy style in terms of their pattern and frame design. The gilt iron frames are heavy and feature a"suspended" outer frame which is connected to the inner frame by a series of ball shaped connectors. The frames are then embellished with ornate yet simple scrolling curves on the corner sections and are topped by a gilt brass, large, fleur de lis. The mirrors are very old and because the backs are missing, they have some scratching to the mirrored coating on the backs. They are secured in the frames with the original wooden border which is fitted on the inner side of the frame on the backs of the mirrors(see picture 11) The backs of the frames are ... morefinished in red, again suggesting Palladio as this was common with Palladio mirrors. Because the backs are missing, there are no manufacturer's stickers. However, the frames are numbered on the front side in the upper section. These are exceptionally designed mirrors and frames. The finish is in very good condition with little evidence of age or wear. We can ship either with the mirrors or without. You can choose this option. The mirrors probably need to be replaced if you don't like the"aged and worn" look. I have had them hanging in my home for a while and I love the aged charm.just a personal preference. Here's a pretty little antique tri fold mirror I recently found at an estate sale. It is in very nice shape. It is 19.5 inches tall. The Center mirror is 15" wide and the two side mirrors are just over 7.5" a piece. Folded. It is 3/4 inch thick. Nice original brass hardware and screws. Mirror and glass is in great shape with no flaking or chips. Minor scratches in the paint of the frame. Excellent find. This looks like wood but I'm thinking it is metal. Antique Gold Cast Iron Rococo Mirror Standing Easel Frame Nat'l Brass Iron Works
Antique gold or gilt painted cast iron easel framed mirror. It measures 17 1/2" x 13 1/2" with a mirror that measures 7 3/4" x 9 3/4" The beveled mirror shows quite a few age spots and has some rough edges behind the framing. You can move them inward for more light reflection or keep them out to the side. This is from the late 1800's or very early 1900's. The Mirror is approx: 5' X 4' when the lamps are fullt extended. Solid wood backing. All Hand Made! This is ORIGINAL! Lamps are full functional and in excellent working condition. The globe is 26" in diameter with globe at 9" tall. This has a standard 12" glass chiminey. Oil drums are 22" in diameter. It is very heavy and solid! Outer scroll bars can be removed for easy moving. This is a set of two beautiful antique-style(not sure whether actually antique) mirrors from the Russian Ural region. Please see the intricate metalwork on these. I'm not sure what material they're made from: maybe bronze or brass. My family is Russian. And we received these as a gift from a Russian business contact in the Russian Ural in the late 1990s. According to the person who gave them to us, this type of metalworking, and specifically the ones made by this craftsman, is the pride of the Russian Ural. This antique swivel mirror is made of cast iron and/or cast brass and contains its original beveled glass mirror insert. Although it's difficult to make out all the words. I'm sure that the back is marked with the words"Verlag bei E. G. Zimmermann Hanau" My assistant has just pointed out that there is actually a diacritical mark over the"m" and the"n" rather than doubled consonants, so maybe this will help to date the piece for those more knowledgeable than I am. I don't see any numbers, so I'm guessing that this may date to pre-1850, but this is based on information I culled from other listings, etc. so please do your own research if this is important to you. This definitely dates to the 19th century and was made at the foundry of E. G. Zimmermann in Hanau, Germany. The mirror has no cracks. ... moreAlthough there is age-related damage to the silvering, as well as an approximately 3/4" scratch near the top and a tiny chip on the bevel edge of the mirror near the top. My sharp-eyed assistant noticed when photographing the mirror that one of the back feet doesn't sit quite flush with the tabletop. I've owned this for a year or so without ever noticing this. The entire frame measures 12&3/4" tall x 8&3/4" wide. And the base is 4&3/4" deep. This has a lovely patina of age with some verdigris to the finish. Antique Oval Small Mirror Frame Bronze Brass? Very Heavy, Ornate, Foundry Mark
This is a very old and very heavy frame. Probably made in the late Victorian era at the end of the 19th century, or the very early 20th century. It is marked on the back 217 and in another place it looks like NB+NY- not sure about this mark, the second part is hard read. Might be NV or even IW. I believe it is bronze or brass. I have seen this frame in a larger version many times in cast iron, and those are heavy, but this one is REALLY heavy. You may have seen frames like this that are usually a foot tall or more. This is a little guy. Only 9" tall and 8" across. The frame has been fitted with a mirror which is newer. There are 3 little tabs that more easily on the back. And you could replace the mirror with glass and use it as a picture frame if you wanted. I think this frame probably had an easel-back at one time so that you ... morecould use it on a table. That has not survived the last 125 years or so. This is suitable for hanging with 2 small screws that would hold each curved piece at the top. Antique Federal Walnut Mirror With Reverse Painted Asian Woman/Brass Accents
We are pleased to offer to the market this beautiful antique mirror. This is a Federal style wall mount mirror. It measures in 35 3/8" in height x 18 1/8" width at the widest point x 2 7/8" depth. The mirror is topped with a reverse painted scene of an Asian woman. The details on the painting are absolutely stunning. The mirror and painted scene are flanked by carved and turned columns. There are brass buttons at the top and bottom of the columns. Below the top pediment. There is an applied design. There are some losses to the design. There are some losses to the silvering on the mirror. It also appears that at some point in time the top right corner of this was re-glued. Estate found. 1890-1920 Brass Tabletop Mirror with an embossed Spread Eagle on the top and a fierce Lion head on the bottom. The heart or shield shape brass frame measures 10 1/4" ht x 7" width. The 1/4" thick mirror measures 5 7/8" x 4" width. Still in excellent condition with no damage. Appears to have been made in England as there is an old"Rd" patent number on the backside corner of one leg.

For your consideration is an original Emile V. Blaesius. New York) Three Sconce Beveled Glass Mirror from 1875-1880. This piece is extremely detailed with scrolls, grapes and Bacchus at the top. The right side center of the beveled mirror shows wear with a spot on the mirror. The sconces are firmly in place with little wear noted. On the back of the mirror is a brass plate firmly holding the mirror in place. The piece is signed E. Blaesius No.28. on the back top right. First of all the hollow engraved brass handle is so unusual. And then it is etched all around the mirror too. Then the floral needle point? embroidery on gold toned backing. There is a plastic casing over the embroidery. I was told this mirror is dated as far back as the 1800's? But not positive on the actual time.just know it's antique. Then I noticed it opened up and inside I found a clipping in German inside. Looks like it was put there during the War World 2 Era for Winston was mentioned. But I don't speak German. I left it there because it was so neat. Beautiful Antique 3" OG Cherry Wood Frame with Lead? Mirror Brass Center Hanger
For your consideration is a Beautiful Warm Cherry 3" Wood Frame with lead back mirror. I believe the mirror to be lead backed. Very heavy. The frame has a wonderful color with all the seams strongly together. The side edges have a thin dovetail pinning which can be seen in the photos. There is a Brass loop on the top for hanging, but the previous owner choose to put a wire on the back for more security. Perfect entry Mirror. The mirror does show some age to it with fine hazing.
