This trunk was bought about 20 years ago from someone who stated it had been purchased from an Estate. They were told that it had belonged to a World War II Nurse who took it overseas with her during her service time. We have no idea who this woman was other than the initials on the trunk"M.A.B. How great if a family member saw this ad and brought it home! This charming old wardrobe trunk is a LAUB'S LUGGAGE Baggage Builders brand. Manufactured in Louisville, Kentucky. It is in good condition inside and outside, with obvious age related scars but no major flaws. It can be used flat for a coffee table or upright to store items in the four drawers of various sizes. It also still has the original wooden clothing hangers on the left side and looks awesome decorating an old-fashioned bedroom with vintage style clothes hanging inside. ... moreThe outside is black in color and the inside is a medium blue. The long side is flat but when standing upright. The top end has a slight curvature design& this end also opens for easy access to the clothing hangers. The Laub Brothers were trunk makers from around the 1860's through probably the 1920's and possibly as late as the 1930's. They had two stores located at 422 West Jefferson Street and 516 South Fourth Street in Louisville. Kentucky. I believe this particular trunk was probably manufactured towards the end of this company's history so early 1900's. A 1926 advertisement read"Buy Laub's trunks first because Laub's trunks last" they certainly did! The trunk opens/closes well& is quite sturdy- has been stored in a dry. Safe& clean environment since we've had it. Size is approximately 40" on the longest side& the other two dimensions are approximately 22" each. There is no key& the lock would need repair. A car called Minerva Sport steam. and what they are calling a Closed Sedan and a Rolls Royce, three American Custom Bodies Which Show Great Originality of Character and Design. The original paper advertising will come with the trunk. Absolutely incredible rare cars so if you have one of these rare cars and need this luggage holder that is in excellent condition for it's age you will certainly be happy when you receive this piece. It measures 34" wide 20' deep and 20" high. It does have the original canvas cover. ... morethe two brackets are on the sides as well. Very complete. And sturdy. ANTIQUE Steam Punk Trunk W/ Hangers 1920'S WINSHIP WARDROBE STEAMER Luggage
Up for auction is a early 1900's steam trunk luggage made by Winship Migrator. This trunk is made of solid wood and leather. The hardware does have light surface rust as this is easy to clean with steel wool. The leather is scratched. Cracking, and coming up in some places. One of the 2 handles are broke. all the latches work and this does come with three origional wooden hangers. One of the hangers does have a chip in the wood. This is a real time treasured piece! The inside does looks great. It may have a light stain or two and some slight dust as this is normal for it's age of around 100 years old. It measures 29.5 x 9 x 20.5 inches.

vintage Wheary Cushioned Top Trunk Wardrobe 1920's steamer luggage chest
This 1920's Wheary Trunk cushioned top wardrobe chest is in pretty good condition. As you can see in the photos. The exterior, and all the hardware, is in solid structural and good cosmetic condition. The interior is better than most trunks of this age, with the fabric intact, no mold, or damage. The fold out drawer on the right side does seem to be missing(what I assume would be) the lift out tray. Two original wood hangers are included. If you are looking for decorative storage. Or a trunk to repurpose it into some kind of bar or coffee table, this is the trunk you are looking for. I have NO KEY for this trunk. In very solid well preserved condition. I believe this trunk to be very early Albert Rosenhain original production. Berlin. Germany early 1900's possibly late 1800's. Some provenance on partial label. Usable condition. Excellent for display/collection. Large rectangular steamer trunk by Hartmann Trunk Company. Not sure of dates. But I tried to look up the patents(on a label inside the trunk) and the only patents I could located were from the 1920s. Approximately 4 feet high, 2 feet wide,foot and a half deep. Leather handles torn. Some rust. A little musty but it should clean up decently. This listing is for a rare small vintage flat-top storage/travel trunk. The inside has been clear-coated to seal it and it has no strong or offensive odors. The trunk measures about 11-1/2" tall. 19-3/4" wide and 12" deep. It is still strong and sound, but does show damage from water, including staining. The outside has some scratches and tears from use over the years, including a small one on the bottom corner where the wood is exposed. On lower left is a case for shoes or other accessories. Top right drawer is divided into 3 sections with a lock(don't have the key) Bottom drawer is a hat drawer. There are 5 long hangers and 2 short hangers. There is an horizontal presser bar to hold items in place. Hangers are on chrome rods that telescope out, allowing the clothing to not be pressed so tightly when trunk is open. There is a Locking Bar on the right to hold the drawers closed while in transit. When on end, the top, which opens upward, is slightly domed. Leather handle on right end is no longer functional. ANTIQUE 1920's ROUND CASE LUGGAGE HAT BOX TRUNK LEATHER TRIM TRAVEL STICKERS
An antique 1920's round black case/ luggage/ hat box/ trunk with leather trim and quite a few old travel stickers. It measures approximately 20" in diameter with one flat side so it can sit up without a problem X 9 3/4" high. There are 2 small brass hinges on the lid that hold it to the base of the case and there are 2 ribbons that serve as stays when the case is opened so the lid won't flop backwards when it's opened. It would seem that the lady who owned this hat case was a woman of'means' when you look at all the places it has been. And she most likely owned several others as well as the one you see here. One of the stickers on the case indicate the woman's name was Amelia Gebhard traveled in Cabin#11 on the Norddeutscher Lloyd(North German Lloyd) shipping line from Bremen to New York on 8-24-1926. Some ... moreof the stickers are the Hotel Post Reichspost in Heidelberg. Germany- the Carlton Hotel Tivoli in Lucerne, Switzerland- and the Hotel Milan in Stresa, Italy. Up for purchase is this CIRCA 1920 Hartmann Cushion Top Steamer Trunk. The piece measures 40.5 x 21.5 x 15. As you can see on one side there are 4 Drawers and on the other one small suitcase on the bottom from where you would hang your cloths. There are no locks with this trunk, I do have the hardware piece to install the main lock if at some point you wanted to change the lock. This piece appears to have been repainted with the red and the art deco look on the drawers which was very well done. This piece was used as a decorative piece in a master bathroom from a local estate. The latches shut tight as they should. The piece has the patina one would expect from a steamer trunk from this era, has dings, dents scratches, scuffs, and the metal has the aged patina look. I have taken many pictures for your review. Antique Abel& Bach Co. ABC Milwaukee trunk. Chest, luggage. Made off wood and wrapped in steel. Very unique with original label on front. It has two inserts that pull out one is a tray and the other one has handles and snaps that holds it shut. Great overall used condition even with the inserts being very good condition. There's a combination latch lock. Which closes over 3-sided full zipper. The interior is a neutral linen color, in EXCELLENT condition. The suitcase itself is in great condition. Super clean inside, no fowl odors, small crack pointed out in pic. Includes 5 original wooden hangers. Otherside has a snap on cloth that protects clothes. Weighs 23 lbs unboxed Handle on side has cover pulling away. See picture. Still fully functional has a lock but no key. Outside case shows signs of use. Offered for sale is this great old large antique Steamer Trunk by Hartmann Trunk Co. Racine. WI. It has a brass plaque on top indicating Tuerke Baggage Co Baltimore, Md. I would guess that Tuerke was the distributor. It also has the monogrammed initials"PJB" This trunk, a relic of a bygone era of steamship travel, is approx. 40" high X 22" X 22" It comes with original wooden hangers and five drawers. The leather carrying strap is broken and there is no key. Please view all of the pictures as they are part of the description. What you see is what you get. It has expected scrapes commensurate with age but it is very sound overall. This would make a great display piece or a really cool coffee table. Local pick up only. This is a Vintage aluminum aviator trunk. Solid and in good overall used condition. This could be polished to a high shine and make a beautiful coffee table or accent piece of furniture! Good hinges and rivets. Closes tightly. Good padlock style latches. Has maker badge. Marked"king bright star co. Pat no 4343.8.5.67" The exterior does have dings. Scuffs, scrapes, etc. From age and normal use. The interior has a nice tray that raises on hinges when the lid opens. The interior is lined with wood with a paper(like wall paper) wrap. In pretty good shape with a little cracking and 1" x 2" hole in the paper in 1 corner exposing the wood beneath the paper. It had vintage clothing stored in it and has that vintage smell inside that i can only describe as moth ball or as i remember grandma's house smelled. This is a large ... moretrunk.
