It's 20 inches long. 12 inches wide and 11 inches tall. You see the condition, she definitely has character. The bare wood was once covered with a heavy type decorative paper, most of that is gone but you see some remnants of that in places. The original label was found in the trunk. It belonged to a gentleman in Escanaba Michigan. Maybe you can reincorporate the label back into a repurpose project(maybe lacqure it onto the top side? There is leather and metal construction incorporated into this little trunk. The leather handle is broken and the leather straps are gone with just some of their remnants being in place. Antique Saks Fifth Avenue Hartman Trunk Co. PATHFINDER Leather Steamer Suitcase
This antique Hartman Trunk Co. Steamer Suitcase/trunk has great appeal and character. Early 1900's. Covered in leather/cowhide with a pink silk interior this piece was sold by Saks Fifth Avenue. Bronze hinges with a really neat mechanism. Over all condition is great for the age. Leather hinge on the back has torn on the left side. The original owners initials are stamped on the front and have not work. The name of the owner is still on a travel tag attached to a Holland America cruise liner tag. A bronze Saks Fifth Avenue tag is also on the front. The name of this trunk is called the PATHFINDER. Really nice piece of history. Priced to sell. Any questions please feel free to ask!

Connecticut estate is this Rare Antique Oshkosh Travel Wardrobe Steamer Trunk Suitcase Coffee Table w/ Key.I absolutely love antique trunks and always get excited where ever and whenever I find one. Today you can go anywhere in the entire world within 24 hours by plane. Just think way back when before commercial airlines. People traveled primarily by railroad or by ship. Traveling was long, hard, and exhausting. People would literally live out of these trunks as they traveled for weeks and sometimes months on end. Thus. They were built with quality and built to last, which is why they have stood the test of time! The craftsmanship that went into the construction and design of theses ole’ trunks are truly nothing short of spectacular. I recently discovered this wardrobe trunk buried ... morein the rafters in the attic of a local farm house estate in a in nearby town. It stopped me dead in tracks and I had to literally pick my jaw up off the floor! There was no way I was leaving without this trunk. And lucky for me I had hubby to carry it out of the attic and down 3 flits of stairs! And now for the decription… This is a nice authentic period Wardrobe steamer trunk. It is signed on the exterior by the maker Oshkosh Trunk Company. I am unsure of the exact age. But it was clearly left where I had found it for a very very long time. If I had to guestimate I would say it is likely from the early 20 th century. It measures 40 x 22 x 20 inches and weighs 75 pounds respectfully. The exterior is covered with what appears to be a volcanized material with dozens of original brass. Nails, knobs Hinges, Lock and hardware. The lock comes with key and functions as designed. On the interior right side. The trunk has 5 wood drawers with original deco drawer pulls and covered in swanky antique fabric. The handles are made of plastic. The smaller case is a cream color with silver speckles on it. There is a water mark on the outside and some of the paper on the inside has peeled up. There is wear along the edges and corners to the paper covering. It measures about 15 inches wide. 9.5 inch's tall, and 5.5 inches deep. The second case is larger and dark brown one. It still has the old label inside which is quite surprising really as it has spent the last 12 years in an outside barn on a Cornish farm. LV trunks are highly collectible but the stories behind them make them all unique and sought after. These are from the late 1800s to early 1900s. They have been together for years and I don't want to seperate them. These belonged to my client's uncle. He was a Superintendent in the building 1115 5th Avenue. New York NY. The story goes that he was given these by a resident. He never used them or traveled with them and passed them on to his neice. The original owner of the cases traveled first class on the Famous SS United States Cruise Liner from New York to Paris as indicated by the stickers. I don't know if it was the maiden voyage. I do know John Carradine traveled on the ship but I can't say these are his. It has the LV Sticker inside 149 New Bond Street, 70 Champs Elysees Paris. The serial number on the lock is 071745. The larger case. Steamer trunk is 44 x 21.5 x13. This one has the initials DTA in red and has the Paris stamp from the US Lines and the First Class H stamp on it. The serial number on the lock is 045509. I've included a brief history of the ship below. You can buy additonal items from the ship right here on Ebay as they were auctioned a few years ago. These case would make a great coffee table. Bedside stands or just a fun display piece. They are in quite good condition. They have not been exposed to smoke and are clean smelling inside. VINTAGE CORBIN SUITCASE LEATHER 1920-1930'S
This suitcase is part of my fathers estate. It is a Corbin and made out of 100% leather. Everything works and is intact except for one strap holder that broke(see picture) All of the inside straps are intact and work well. The two push down latches on the outside work well and the locking latch works but will not pop up on it's own. You have to lift it with your fingers. My dad told stories about carrying this suitcase in the Montana area during the Prohibition Days which would date it in the mid 1920's through early 1930's. I have kept it all these years but it just sits in a closet so I am hoping someone who collects suitcases would like it or it could be displayed in a old home somewhere. These 3 marble white faux leather on wood Samsonite Streamlite suitcases and trunk are in great shape from the 1950's and 1960’s! RARE TRUNK! These trunks are very hard to find. THrough research I have found that a lot of these were just made for display and very few were made. The largest trunk measures roughly 30L" x 16W" x 12.5H” The carry-on/wardrobe measures roughly 21L" x 9W" x 19H” The smaller train/make-up case measures close to 13L" x 8.5W" x 9H" You can see from the pics the color of the exterior and interiors as well as the various pouches and straps. These are all Samsonite and there is a key for the entire set. These cases could be used for a number of things besides luggage. A very popular use is for camera equipment or speciality tools. By installing foam packaging and cutting it to fit ... moreyour camera or tools is a stylish and less expensive way to protect and transport. These type of cases can also be used for decor such as end tables. Shipping includes insurance and a delivery confirmation. Delivery confirmation is not a tracking number. From a little research I've found that this brand is from the early 1930s. The case is in great shape for its age. This auction features a lot of two vintage stacking/nesting suitcases in earth-tone colors of beige. Golden tan, brown, and sienna. Wonderful for stacking, storage, photography props, stage set use, etc. While these are not a set(different brands) their coloring is complimentary. They appear to be canvas and each has leather trim. The leather handles seem to be securely fastened. Both have a very distressed appearance, the smaller one with more condition issues. Amazing suitcase with stories to tell! I'm thinking the 30's or even 20's is the era this came from. Several stickers are peeling. Not crumbling easily off, but just little glimpses, remain. enough to make it very unusual. Hotel stickers from Mexico, Rome, Portugal, Italy, and Puerto Rico can be discerned. This might be good to refurbish with another layer or so of shellac, either the amber or just clear to keep images secure. Some water staining inside as shown. Comes with little key to lock. Antique Pendleton Suitcase
This is a suitcase that was used by my Uncle who went to Oregon to be part of the CCC service during the depression. I'm not sure if the suitcase had the three Pendleton Redeo stickers attached to the suitcase or if it was purchased at the rodeo. Inside the case there was also an album from the rodeo with approximately 50 pictures. This is not included. Your only bidding on the case. My best guess is approximately 1940- 44. He eventually ended up in the Navy during WWll. The case size is approximately 23 inches by 13 inches by 6 inches. The color is brown. The case is made out of metal. Box, Chest, Train Case that appears to have suffered through the depression times. The Suit Case is of wood construction covered with a textured black canvas. The hinges and clasps appear to be brass. Years of wear and travel show and this Case reminds me of something a hobo might have carried. The canvas has worn through. Separating from the wood framework and frayed in many places on both inside and out. The rusty clasps work properly. The clasp is not functional, the metal handle probably replaced throughout the years is bent. The inside has some soil. Fabric has loosened, slightly musty and 4¼” deep.
