Vintage/ retro, rustic country, shabby chic, waxed pine, blanket box/ trunk/ chest/ coffee table/box. Measuring 27ins(69cms) wide x 9ins(23cms) high x 11ins(27cms) wide, it is a traditionally constructed chest with nicely interlaced corner joints, a couple of hinged clasps to the front and two sound, solid brass, hinges to the rear. It is finished with an antique wax over the original dark varnish and has a nice sheen to it. It is constructed with pine sections to the front. Back and both sides and what looks like plywood for the lid and base. I nternally it has a long thin and angled. Removalable tray to the front and a stout metal stay at eother side. Its a bit stained and dusty but dry, rot and woodworm free! It is a sturdy chap. ... moreBut has signs of a long and busy life. There are a myriad of very characteful nicks, dinks and scars, dents, scratches and so on, but nothing serious or detracting and both the clasps, whilst working very effectively are pretty stiff and would probably benefit from a drop of oil! ANTIQUE/VINTAGE SHABBY CHIC SATIN LINED STAINED PINE FREE STANDING SEWING DESK This auction is for a superb. Antique/ vintage, shabby chic, yellow satin lined stained pine sewing desk. It is a traditional, free standing, sewing table measuring 24ins( 61 cms) high x 1 4 ins(36cms) wide x 12ins( 30 cms) deep. And is constructed with slightly tapering legs with a square sectioned top box having a drawer at the bottom and a hinged lid to the top. Internally it is lined with a mid-yellow satin material and has a small fitted tray at the back. Externally it is finished with the original, dark mahogany coloured, varnish with applied beading to various edges. It is in good condition. With no rot or worm, and the only flaws I can find are minor areas of rubbing to the extremities where the varnish has worn off. Mainy to the legs, a couple of small ... moremissing bits of the beading,and some ring and other stains to the top, and a couple of small nicks to the front, but nothing threatening and all very characterful. Vintage Adirondack Pine chest 1930's 40's Hand made Primitive fine Cond Cottage
Up for consideration is fine hand made 4 drawer Adirondack chest of drawers. The piece measures about 44 inches high by 47 inches wide by 22 inches deep. Please note that the dimensions may be off a little and I will update the measurement tomorrow. The piece has hand carved frame with rounded timbers. It is clean from a nonsmokers estate. I can help the purchaser arrange shipping. It ways about 90lbs. It is possible to be shipped via Greyhound Package Express however one will have to pick up the chest at a GPX location nearest them. Antique victorian blanket box trunk vintage wooden chest pine coffee table old
An old original Victorian blanket box. As its well over a hundred years old. It will have marks, old wood worm holes, small bows and splits but I think it all adds charm. The box was fully treated for woodworm to be safe and secure from any little beasties several weeks ago Inside has the original fish tail hinges and it still has its lock and upper keep in the lid but the key is long gone lost over time The chest has a nice shiny bri wax finish. Its a early example made from pine not heavy very light to lift. Unlike later examples. One side has trim on the edge the other does not see pictures. Could be used as a coffee table or look fab in a room for the old world look. Lovely old Victorian cabin trunk I like this one as it it a little different from the usual ones having wooden banding at each corner as well as the hbentwood around the cabin. Label showing its travels to Dieppe and other places. Great addition to any roon. Antique Pine Chest - Vintage Quilt & Storage Chest
Beautiful- very nice pine chest- see pictures. The edges are jointed(don't know the specific name for this craftsmanship) but clearly work of a master craftsman. The lock and key are definitely a different era. Small storage box built inside. My wife inherited this from her grandfather's estate. We don't have the room anymore. I looked up similar items for pricing $500-1500.00. Size is 46x26x26 inches. Not certain if this is truly an antique or a reproduction. The hinges on the lid are modern but appear to have been replaced. This piece won't last. It's great for decor, or for storing blankets or winter clothes, or for odds and ends. We just don't have room for it. Local pick-up only.

Victorian Steamer chest trunk box vintage wooden chest pine dome top domed
A old Victorian Blanket box Circa 1870. Its very old made of pine. Comes with its original inner tray Nice original brass lock with a key to lock it. Its been around for over a hundred years and picked up lots of character marks. Impressions, splits, holes etc from the many many years of use. All these have left great looking chest. Handles have long gone with age and usage but could be replaced. As the piece is old please study the pictures or ask any questions as these show the condition. The chest has been French polished. And hand waxed to seal and is very shiny Size is approx = Length 32" X Width 18" X Height 19" A few more chests can be found at Steamer-Chests.co.uk.
