Vintage 1935/ 1930's American Hardware Co. Foot Locker/Trunk Up for consideration is original 1935 American Hardware Co. foot locker. This trunk is still in good solid condition. Constructed of wood and metal. As you can see it has some character, and wear. The name plate is still attached securely. I tried to find other American Hardware chests, but could not. One of the handles is missing, and the latches works well. The person's name. Guglietti" was the owner and just pasted away a couple of months ago at 99 years. He was a remarkable man, full of life and meticulous. When he was young he attended Jullaird in New York, and as time went on felt a need to serve in the war effort and went into the aeronautics industry. Measures 31" W x 17" L x 13" H. VINTAGE STEAMER TRUNK - CIRCA 1920'S - 1930'S - WONDEROBE SEWARD
This is a upright Steamer Trunk by"Seward Trunk and Bag Company" The plaque says"Wonderrobe" Estimated that it was made during the 1920"s or 1930's. The original trunk color was olive green but has changed over the years to a soft brown. It has all of its accessories including the hat form that snaps in and out to hold a fashion hat in place which was a bonus during it's day. There are six hanging racks. Two for dresses. Two for coats and two for slacks. They are held in place by a stabilizer bar. The bottom of the left side of the trunk has a pop out drawer. The top drawer is sectioned and has the lock but no key. The top of the trunk lifts to allow easy access to the racks. See photo#5. Two of the drawers have the tie down straps to hold clothing in place. The lock is missing as well as the leather handle. ... moreAll of the metal(brass? edges are in excellent shape. No dents. No missing bullets and it has all of its corner pieces. Most of these trunks are missing the leather handle but I do have the handle which is not attached. All of the hardware is in good condition not rusted or broken. The main lock is missing. The only damage is to the top which is cracked mostly on the edge which lifts up. see photo#8) The fabric on the drawers shows some wear but just to the right edges. See photo#1. VINTAGE CORBIN SUITCASE LEATHER 1920-1930'S
This suitcase is part of my fathers estate. It is a Corbin and made out of 100% leather. Everything works and is intact except for one strap holder that broke(see picture) All of the inside straps are intact and work well. The two push down latches on the outside work well and the locking latch works but will not pop up on it's own. You have to lift it with your fingers. My dad told stories about carrying this suitcase in the Montana area during the Prohibition Days which would date it in the mid 1920's through early 1930's. I have kept it all these years but it just sits in a closet so I am hoping someone who collects suitcases would like it or it could be displayed in a old home somewhere. 1930's vintage Caswell-Runyan cedar chest
The Caswell Runyan Company. Which began life in 1907 when it was founded by J W Caswell and Winifred Runyan, was the first of its kind to offer readymade cedar chests as a commercial product. Manufacturing took place in Huntington. Indiana, and the firm hoped to corner the cedar chest market at the point of its inception. The plant became the second largest wood-working plant in Indiana at its primacy. Caswell cedar chests were a patented product. They reflected the fact that people were moving away from creating their own furniture in favour of buying ready made goods. At first. The company employed approximately two dozen people– a figure which had increased to 600 by 1924, by which time Caswell Runyan cedar chests were being sold across the United States. This rate of growth is quite remarkable, bearing in mind the company forewent a national ... moreadvertising campaign. In 1929 Caswell Runyan merged with Utah Radio Products Co. a loud speaker manufacturer) of Chicago. Bringing together speakers and cabinets to complete a radio reception combination. Catalogue numbers. Patent numbers and lot numbers were printed on Caswell Runyan cedar chests. These can tell collectors a great deal about age and value. One or all of these details can be found stamped lightly onto the top edge of one of the trays. Aged chests can be professionally restored– a process that will restore some or all of their value. Rosslyn Virginia, vessel BARRETT, Oakland California. Lots of patina some history associated with WW2 Army Captain. AO. Has been used as a blanket and pillow trunk for last 50 years. Upper hinge mount for locking hasp is missing. Look carefully at photos including pictures of holes through aluminium cladding. Those holes in the aluminum do not pass through the plywood framework into the trunk. Interior upholstery is blue and white checkerboard houndstooth pattern and has stains and some wear thru fabric. Vintage 1930's Suitcase Tweed Striped
This is a vintage 1930's tweed striped suitcase. Measuring approx. 21" long and 12 1/2" tall. This old case was purchased at an estate sale and I have not attempted to clean it, and although there are interior stains, there is not any noticeable musty odor. As you can see in the photos, this case has been used and has scuff marks and scrapes. The leather trim has deteriorated somewhat, but the leather handle remains intact and the locks work. Vintage 1930's Named Holmby Hills Hartmann Steamer Trunk
This is a 1930's vintage Hartmann steamer trunk that belonged to Ann McNaghten. Daughter of Malcolm McNaghten whom was the then president of Broadway Department Store. The Address printed on top of the trunk is 594 Mapleton Drive Holmby Hills Los Angeles, Ca. The residence in question was best know for being the home of Star Bing Crosby from 1943 to 1964. The trunk itself is worn with some scuffs and scratches on the outside but is solid. The exterior leather straps are gone but can easily be replaced. All of the internal drawers are present as well as the removable suitcase. There are several hangers and accessories inside the trunk as well. The outside latch is broken but all other movable part appear to be present and function. Trunk is sold as is. Local pickup only. See pictures for full idea of condition.

This charming trunk(circa 1930) was bought about 20 years ago from someone who stated it had been purchased from an Estate. They were told that it had belonged to a World War II Nurse who took it overseas with her during her service time. We have no idea who this woman was other than the initials on the trunk"M.A.B. How great if a family member saw this ad& brought it home! This old Wardrobe Trunk(also known as" Traveling Wardrobe" is a LAUB'S LUGGAGE Baggage Builders brand. Manufactured in Louisville, Kentucky. Its heavy& well made, in very good condition inside& outside, with obvious age related scars, but no major flaws. Experts state these style trunks have seen a popularity surge in the past few years. While it was originally designed to stand on end for easy access. It can be used flat for a coffee table ... moreor upright to store items in the four drawers of various sizes. It also still has the original wooden clothing hangers on the left side(in excellent condition) on an extending chrome rod& it even has the extra cover that snaps over the lower section for shoes&or valuables. One of the hangers looks like a boat anchor& is sometimes referred to as a"Princess" hanger. But both men& women used these because their purpose was to keep something like a jacket in place during transit, as to prevent wrinkles. Because these trunks look awesome opened. In an old-fashioned bedroom with vintage style clothes hanging inside, they are mostly used for decorative purposes; however they also offer useful storage space since they're very roomy. The outside is black in color& the inside is a medium blue. The long side is flat but when standing upright. The top end has a slight curvature design& this end also opens to make it easier to use the clothing hangers. Vintage Lutz & Company 1900-1930 Steamer Trunk Luggage Wardrobe Chest Antique
Antique Wardrobe or Traveling Wardrobe Trunk. Circa 1900s-1930s in excellent condition. American company, Lutz& Company of Washington, DC. Opens to wardrobe on left and drawers on right. On lower left is a case for shoes or other accessories. Top right drawer is divided into 3 sections with a lock(don't have the key) Bottom drawer is a hat drawer. There are 5 long hangers and 2 short hangers. There is an horizontal presser bar to hold items in place. Hangers are on chrome rods that telescope out, allowing the clothing to not be pressed so tightly when trunk is open. There is a Locking Bar on the right to hold the drawers closed while in transit. When on end, the top, which opens upward, is slightly domed. Leather handle on right end is no longer functional. All metal hardware is in place and the outside lock has a functional KEY. ... moreThe outside seems to be made of wood, which has some cracking, mostly the right domed end(see photo) The stains on the outside come out for a brief time with oiling. Would be beautiful if redone. Item has been used for the last 35 years as storage or as furniture. Also included in the 2nd drawer is a drawstring bag made of the same material as the lining in the interior of the trunk. Overall dimensions: 40" long x 20 1/2" high x 21" deep. Great as an accent piece or use as a table, seating or storage.

Vintage almost 100 year old Louis Vuitton Authentic Hard case. Purchased in NYC at B. ALTMAN and Co. around the time of the great depression. This hard case is in fantastic condition for its age and very rare to find. Dimensions: 26" x 8.5" x 17" Condition:7/10. Leather handle is in great shape. As for now there is no key but the latches are all in working condition. I am still searching for the key and I will provide it to the purchaser free of any charges if found. There is one piece of leather missing as pictured. It is less than the size of a dime. A few scuffs and scratches. All brass corners are in great shape and not dented. Super clean inside, no fowl odors, small crack pointed out in pic. Includes 5 original wooden hangers. Otherside has a snap on cloth that protects clothes. Weighs 23 lbs unboxed Handle on side has cover pulling away. See picture. Still fully functional has a lock but no key. Outside case shows signs of use.
