This beautiful French Vellum Trunk. With its incredible character and elegance, sailed on the Queen Elizabeth from New York to an unknown destination. Measuring 35" long, 20 1/2" wide, and 13 1/2" deep, the exterior has the original solid wood banding and polished chrome latches and hardware. Engraved on the lock is the word"Surete" which is french for"security" Its edges are protected with original rawhide trim secured by silver nail heads. There is a wonderful original vintage tag from the Cunard Line and an old travel decal. Circa 1920's. This French Trunk is in good condition with minimal wear from age and use. The interior has 2 working cloth straps and is clean with no issues or musty smell. The trunk has the original leather handles, but one has a split in part of the leather. Fantastic condition- only a couple of minor wear marks. This trunk's insides look like they came off of the showroom floor- amazing for how old the piece is. The homestead was in the family for 100 years and this is just one of the jewels that have been unearthed- claim it while you can. Steampunk Trunk Kit Vintage Brass Plated Hardware w/Leather Handles
This trunk hardware and leather handles are from the early 1970s. The patina on the brass is from their age. The leather handles are 9 3/4" long and three ply at 5/16" thick. There are 8 corners. 20 knees, 1 Long lock w/key, 2 large rectangular draw downs, 2 handles, 4 handle clamps, 2 hinges, and 2 lid stays. This is a similar list of hardware and handles used to build the trunk in the second photo(from 1974) thought seeing the finished product with similar hardware would help. TRUNK NOT INCLUDED, this item is the HARDWARE KIT ONLY. I can draw up the plans for that one if it would help a project. I handmade the metal trim from sheet aluminum and cut the bows from 3/4" X 2 1/4" oak that I split and rounded the edges of each half on a table router, pretty easy stuff. These old brass plated parts and high quality leather ... morehandles are perfect to use in the creation of a Steampunk trunk.

VINTAGE CORBIN SUITCASE LEATHER 1920-1930'S
This suitcase is part of my fathers estate. It is a Corbin and made out of 100% leather. Everything works and is intact except for one strap holder that broke(see picture) All of the inside straps are intact and work well. The two push down latches on the outside work well and the locking latch works but will not pop up on it's own. You have to lift it with your fingers. My dad told stories about carrying this suitcase in the Montana area during the Prohibition Days which would date it in the mid 1920's through early 1930's. I have kept it all these years but it just sits in a closet so I am hoping someone who collects suitcases would like it or it could be displayed in a old home somewhere. Vintage Antique Louis Vuitton Trunk 1910 Calfskin Special Order Leather France
Very nice. Solid Louis Vuitton calfskin trunk dating from between 1909 and 1915. Excellent patina to the leather, with no major spots- just an overall golden honey aging. It was found in a well-kept old barn, and all I've done is dust it off- I'll let you condition and polish it how you see fit. The trunk is an elegant size measuring 25" wide, 11"high, and 13" deep. The brass hardware is in excellent condition. The lock inscribed'BTE S.G.D.G. PATENT, LOUIS VUITTON, 1. RUE SCRIBE PARIS, LONDON 149. NEW BOND STREET, MADE IN FRANCE' and numbered 028224. Louis Vuitton is stamped on the larger bolts and LV on the two outer latches. The beautiful label has the first 4 shops' addresses, dating it to post-Lille(1909) and pre-Champs-Elysees(1915) The two sides are embossed with the owner's letters"McL" ... moreThe calfskin trunks are rare because they were more expensive, and all special orders, meaning they didn't make them and have them hanging around the shop- they were custom made, so the initials were embossed on the leather before it was made, as it would be impossible after, unlike painted initials. The interior is lined with ivory linen, with fittings for one removable tray. Interior stamped with number 168673. There are overall scrapes, and chipping to the top edges, where some leather has worn away. The handle looks to be not original- my guess is the original one wore off and this one fit, so it was strapped on. This was likely a very prized trunk from the early days of the golden age of travel. Perfect for the discerning decorator. Very solid and the lid operates smoothly, and there are no problems with hardware- although I've never fully pressed in the center lock clasp for fear it would stay locked. This auction features a lot of two vintage stacking/nesting suitcases in earth-tone colors of beige. Golden tan, brown, and sienna. Wonderful for stacking, storage, photography props, stage set use, etc. While these are not a set(different brands) their coloring is complimentary. They appear to be canvas and each has leather trim. The leather handles seem to be securely fastened. Both have a very distressed appearance, the smaller one with more condition issues. Vintage steamer trunk/suitcase. Leather handle and brass closures w/ ORIGINAL key. Measures 28" long. 15.5" wide and 10" high. All black outside with black metal and brass trim. Paper lined wood inside. Has a removable shelf. Some of the paper is getting old and brittle. Mostly there and in good condition. Very little rust, gives this trunk beautiful character. Heavy of course, 21 lbs. without packaging. Great decorator piece.

Beautiful Louis Vuitton Monogram Trunk Fantastic vintage Louis Vuitton trunk. Very nice case in monogram canvas. The brass hardware is all intact and very strong. The original key is included! Very rare to have the key along with the case! The trunk does have some wear throughout but overall is in wonderful vintage condition. The canvas shows wear mostly on the sides and a bit on the top of the case. The rivets all say Louis Vuitton. Corners on top were painted with yellow. Along with initials G.C.C. on each end. This auction is for a pretty cool storage case. It was used to store hats as this case still has the center snap-on insert in the middle which is rare. It is black in color and has the look of leather however I think that the leather is a faux leather except for the handle which I believe is real leather. It has a good look to it. Could be used for many purposes. It is solid and can hold some weight. It has a Corbin lock and a blue and gold floral pattern interior. A pretty neat old piece. Rare Vintage Snakeskin Leather Covered Silk Lined Lockable Box I have for auction a genuine Vintage Snakeskin Leather Covered Silk Lined Lockable Box dating from the early part of the 20th century when they were considered very much a fashionable item for the dressing table or business desk. The snakeskin is very probably Burmese Python and covers the top and all sides except the base. The top surface is padded beneath the snakeskin which gives a nice feel to the touch and the lid closes snugly against the box and is lockable with the small key provided. The hinges are firm and interestingly are designed to stop the lid falling back to horizontal when opened. A sure sign of quality when the box was made. For your consideration.An Antique and very Vintage entirely leather,and leather cornered) suitcase and or as once called, motoring trunk"Determined age is most likely from between 1920- 1950.It has much character, and functions as originally intended, minus the key for the brass push lock.Obviously well made enough to last till this day,it is all leather including all 8 corners.The lock, buckles,snaps, and rivets are all brass, or brass plated.There is a detailed border striping around the top and each side, and the liner inside is still intact.The stitching is very heavy and I do not see one area on the entire item that has unraveled.Upon searching the in& outside, I was only able to come up with 3 identifiable marks.The latches on each end are made by Corbin, the lock has the letter"A" just above the key hole, and the ... morenumber 8 is embossed into the leather on the rear panel.A name and address from the previous owner is written in ink on the left rear corner,which has only a route& box listed, no street address.Item came from a rural area.No cleaning has taken place on this item,only wiped down to remove surface dust, and swept nicely on the inside.There is one strip of leather& buckle for the inside top panel that is missing,and the outside belt on the left front side is worn, almost detached. It is in beautiful as found condition and in leather. It has a center clasp and outer latches with brass tacks signed Louis Vuitton. Trunk has iron carrying handles with LV mark. Inside Louis Vuitton paper label. Number 103900. Gorgeous and very large size. It measures approx. 43 3/4" long. 24 7/8" deep, 27 3/4" high. This would make a great coffee table. Wonderful antique vintage leather suitcase with brass locks and some old travel stickers. Including Cunard Lines. The suitcase has leather-bound corners and a leather handle. It's had a bit of use, to be fully expected after its many years of traveling the high seas. Its owner, initials GB and long deceased, lived in the US but was originally from Scotland and made many transatlantic voyages to visit family in the UK. Measurements of the suitcase in its standing position: 15” in height(not including the handle) 6” deep, and 25 1/2” wide. The latches work fine. No key.
