It is cast iron with a wooden seat and is attached ... moreto a piece of wood at the base. The casting design is quite ornate. The seat swivels but the height does not change as some stools do. I believe that the seat had fabric covering it at one time as there are small holes all over it. Possibly from staples? This fine piece would look great as a plant stand or even as a stool. It has mounting holes in the cast iron base for mounting it permenantly to a floor or just leave it attched to the existing piece of wood. The stool may be disassembled for shipment. The height is not adjustable. Get creative! Approximate Measurements The stool measures 19 1/2" tall and 21" tall including the base board. It has an approximate 6 1/2" diameter base. The seat of the stool has a 12" diameter. Markings None Condition Very good condition for its age. There is some minor to moderate scratches in the paint on the pedestal and base. Auction Up for auction are 2 old Helin Tackle of Canada wooden Flat fish in boxes. Boxes and lures are in excellent condition. Large box is marked 418 LAS and the smaller box is marked FR. Both boxes are Helin Tackle Co of Canada. Windsor Ontario. The large box has the paper work still inside box. Overall both are extremely nice combos and would be basically impossible to upgrade. Very old wooden suitcase covered with paper. Measures 18" x 11" x 5.25" Has some scuffs and spots where the paper has been torn; the lid is a little swayed, but not bad. Ha ndle is covered with leather. No markings on it so I don't know the brand. This is an estate sale purchase and I know nothing about its origin or age. It is clean inside. No o dors. This item is described as accurately as possible. If you receive the item and feel that the description is inaccurate in any way. Please contact me before leaving feedback. The tambour has a Swiss village scene on it. And the drawer has a chromed handle. It dates from between about 1950 and 1970. Size: 10 x 7.8 x 6 cm(4 x 3 x 2 1/4 inches) Weight: 89 grammes Condition: Good- see the pictures- tambour works well. A fabulous box which came from a couple(in their lates 50's) elderly father's house when they cleared it. Lots of history and nostalgia here. VINTAGE INLAID ITALIAN WOODEN CIGARETTE CASE/MUSIC JEWELLERY BOX 50'S
13.5 cms by 10cms and 4 cms deep approx. This box has cracking to the varnish and cracking to the inlay. It is sadly missing a foot. However apart from a small part of the inlay that is missing from the bottom left corner. This is a pretty probably swiss italian musical box in working order. The interior is clean with 8.5 cms by 8cms for your cigarettes or jewellery and the rest of the box houses the movement. I cannot place the tune. It sounds like'it's a small world after all' but it is not! Despite the wear and tear the inlay is pretty and the movement works well. I will be away for a few days this week so if you have any questions. Then I will answer them on Friday asap.

This vintage steamer trunk is made of wood and has steel reinforced edges. It has brass plated hardware. The leather handles on the sides are gone. Vintage WWII Japanese Footlocker/Trunk. Made of wood(not sure what kind) Is a little"rough around the edges" but sturdy. Several nails have been hammered inside the lid(see pics) One latch is missing(see pics) Dovetail like construction(but NOT dovetail) Name engraved is Hachiro Kita. There is some writing on the front of the box in(I think) indelible marker. I'm not certain what the inscription means(if anything) My guess is that this was used during the period when the U.S. created'camps' for the Japanese that lived in the States during the war. Did some brief internet research on Hachiro Kita and it looks as though he may have lived in Colorado during that time. None of this information is confirmed. However. If you have any insight. Vintage wood bound steamer trunk. There are no identifying marks on the hardware or trunk other than the number 75 below the keyhole on the latch. I believe this trunk was made in the UK as the estate I acquired it from had many vintage items from Europe. However that is not for certain. I am not a collector and know very little about old trunks. So I have taken pictures from every angle so you can see the entire trunk. VINTAGE METAL BOX WITH DESIGN AND WOODEN INTERIOR Here we have a vintage metal box with a wooden interior. It is 15x8x6cm in size. It has a hinged lid with engravings on all sides except the bottom. It is in very nice condition. There are some pencil marks in the inner lid on the wood that can probably be removed with an eraser. The box is a dark grey metal. Not sure what it is. No Reserve, This is a lovely aged wooden trunk recently removed from a small cottage property, The wood has an appealing honey coloured patina, The top lid has a naturally occuring crack running across it that in my opinion only adds rather then detracts from its authentic charm. Either end has a metal carrying loop handle. There are black gothic flavoured embedded metal reinforcing corners. The lid clicks down nicely into place but there is no key for the lock, Inside the trunk is lined with Vintage paper. This item has all the knocks and bruises of historical usuage.
