There is some minor paint flaking on the bottom that can be seen in pictures 5.6. The piece measures 5" tall and is 4" across the bottom. It is signed CSA and dates Ca 1895. A raised molded floral design around the top and bottom edge, and a well shaped handle, this is unmarked but most likely German in origin. Antique Imperial German Army Porcelain & Pewter Tankard
Antique German Imperial Army Porcelain commemorative stein. This is a classic stein which came from the estate of a WWII Colonel's collection. The stein measures 10" tall to pewter soldier finial and is 1.5 litre. The base is 4 1/2" in diameter 5 1/2" base to handle. The piece is beautifully hand painted. The bottom of the stein is incorporated with a lithophane romantic scene with a soldier and his fraulein. The lithophane has a spider vein crack which is tight but noticeable when held to the light. There has been a repair to the pewter lid at the hinge it is a clean decent solid job refer to photos. We had our Master German Goldsmith translate the tankard for us. The tankard is prior to WWI. The tankard was presented to Grenadier Schwarz of the 2nd battalion under Kaiser Wilhelm. There are the names of 62 soldiers on ... moretwo sides of the tankard. On the sides it is noted"In the battles we see how walls strong for Germany's faith and honor for fatherland and Kaiser. It was purchase at an antique auction in eastern Pennsylvania with a selection of antique shaving mugs. This particular mug measures 3 1/2" tall and the top is 3" in diameter. There is a number underneath the glaze- 6475" and the marks you see on the bottom are not damage. The two larger marks are from original glaze imperfections. And the other marks are just scuffs from where the mug has been placed on a shelf. There are no chips, cracks, or crazing. It is a beautiful Limoges hand painted cup. Possibly a shaving mug, with roses and gold trimmed rim and handle. Signed on the bottom T&Y Limoges France. The porcelain is so sheer you can almost see right through it. The painted roses are so delicate and beautifully done. They are not signed so we can’t say who the artist was. It measures about 3.25” tall x 3” in diameter. Not counting the handle. It is in very good condition with some wear to the gold on the rim and handle. There is a spider web mark on the bottom but it does appear to be perhaps only a stain on the crazing on the glaze as there is no sign from inside the cup. There is a small pit mark right there so it looks like it was just dirt that seeped in during it’s long lifetime. This wonderful mug would be great addition to any French Limoges antique pottery ceramic home decor accessories collection. Starting life in Germany over a hundred years ago. This is a charming lidded stein Musterchutz(registered) Schierholz. The flower adorned imp measures about 7.5" tall and is about 5-3/4" wide, holding.5 liter. There is notable damage to the lid of which I have shown in the photos above. Because of the monochromatic and tone-on-tone glaze on this stein, the damage is not nearly as conspicuous as it would have been on a more colorful piece. The larger chip is about 7/8" in length and the small one is about 1/8" long. All other condition is very nice. and will bring any shelf a great deal of presence. Antique German Occupational Glass Stein Porcelain Hand-painted Lid Farmer Horses
This is the last of my German Steins. I have been told that this would be referred to as an"Occupational Stein" and that would certainly make sense. As the hand-painted porcelain lid depicts a farmer hard at work in the fields with his team of horses. The inscription on the lid is seemingly in an old German script, so I was having difficulties translating it. However, a very helpful German eBayer was nice enough to help me out. Basically it translates as"God Bless Hard Work/Diligence" The painted scene is most attractive. Lovely colours. Paint is still bright and vivid. There is some slight wear to the pewter on the lid. Antique Mug COMICAL Hunting Scene w/ RABBIT Porcelain Staffordshire Cup Child's
This is a wonderful little mug. It has a hand painted scene on it of two hunter's and two rabbit's. One hunter has a confused look on his face. Holding his hand up to his head he looks for those rabbit's which are hiding behind a large rock. One rabbit stands up on the look out as the other seems to be trying to burrow into the ground. It's just great in person as you get the scope of just what's happening. There is much detail in this piece. I have checked it with a magnifying glass and I do not see signs of any transfer but it could possibly be a outline transfer that has been hand painted. I see no dots and I do believe it's completely hand painted. There is a red border and a gold trim at the bottom. There is a hand written number 70 on the bottom of the mug. Antique Porcelain Puzzle Mug Vulkan Bohemian?
Antique porcelain puzzle jug. It has the standard solution of using a hole in the rim as a straw to drink the liquid. The rim and handle ant the flowers are hand painted. The scene of the figures and the verses are printed. It is 6" tall. The bottom is marked with some numbers and an impressed" VULKAN" with a backward N. I have not been able to firmly attribute this trademark. But there are indications this was made circa 1880 in Bohemia by Anch Porzellanfabrik. It seems to be a style that later 20th century Gerold Porzellan puzzle mugs were patterned from. There are no chips and no cracks. Some paint is worn. And the verses are too worn to read.

Original goldleaf is mostly all there with very little wear Height is 2 and 3/4 inches. In fancy German lettering we see Ich gratu- with four more letters of which we are unsure. The photo will help. For your consideration is an old Limoges. France stein/tankard/mug. It has the T&V Limoges France hallmark on the bottom. It stands 5 1/2 inches tall and the base is 4 1/4 inches in diameter. This was made and hand painted in the early 1900's. It is a shiny black color with golden leaves, vines and grapes. There is some texture to the gold designs. In the background you see pale green leaves and purple grapes on a creamy background. The inside is white. A small imperfection appears on the gold handle. There is a line that is not as smooth as the rest of the surface. It must have been done during the firing of the mug. I'm not sure you can see it in the photos. It is on the left side of the handle. I am only pointing it out to be accurate in my description. There are no stains, crazing or chips. A few scratches appear near the ... morebase.
