Nice relief molding around the rim and handle. This has great Circus scenes. On one side is a horse and dog sitting. In the center is a ball(ball picture didn't fully transfer in the making) On the other side is a scene of a performer diving through a paper hoop. Overall very good condition for age. No chips. c. 1890’s Child’s glass cup Mug Eapg Gold gilt Beaded Swirl children dish This small lovely early American pressed glass mug is a pattern that I believe is attributed to McKee circa 1894. This particular mug is a variant with fabulous gold gilt/ gold gilding on the beaded swirl. Also a lovely clear glass orb near the top of the handle. It looks rather like a crystal marble. Size: approx height is 3 ¼ inches. Diameter of the base is approx 2 ¼ inches. Diameter at the top is approx 2 inches. Condition: Very good. The gold gilt beading on the swirled pattern as well as on the mug handle is still very strong– a little loss due to age. But not much– No chips. No cracks. Glass is clear and lovely. This is a very old child's mug but I'm not sure of when it was made. There is no maker's mark. The pictures are transfers and they seem to be in very good condition( no wear or fading) It stands 2 7/8" high and is about 3" at the opening. There is one handle. Other than crazing from age. This wonderful antique child's cup/mug measures approximately 3 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches in diameter. It has three lovely scenes of angels and cherubs. The top rim and base has an embossed design. The top is scalloped and has a gold rim. Much of which has rubbed off as a result of use and age. Tthe handle is very decorative and ornate and still has a hint of the gold it was once decorated with. The mug is in wonderful condition for its age and has no chips, cracks or crazing. Here is a sweet little child's mug with a pink polka-dot bunny for the handle. Around the base is printed"I DRINK MILK EVERY DAY" There are 2 bunnies chasing on the front. This mug is pretty old. I would estimate 75 years or more. It is in very good condition with no chips, nicks or cracks. There is a very tiny dot of glaze loss on the tan bunny, about the size of the head of a regular straight pin. There is fine crazing over most of the mug. On the back, adjacent to the handle, there is a little smudge of purplish paint which has been glazed over. On the front rim, there is what looks like a nick. This is from production, it has been glazed over with the blue rim. I think for the age of the mug, it looks pretty darned good! Gold trim and the name and birthdate of the child. Because of the script I’m not sure of the exact name– I see it as F.J. Pedley, Born January 27, 1859. The cup is 3” tall, 3” in circumference and holds 6-8 oz. The mug is in excellent condition– no chips, cracks or repairs– just some wear of the gold trim. Antique Mug COMICAL Hunting Scene w/ RABBIT Porcelain Staffordshire Cup Child's
This is a wonderful little mug. It has a hand painted scene on it of two hunter's and two rabbit's. One hunter has a confused look on his face. Holding his hand up to his head he looks for those rabbit's which are hiding behind a large rock. One rabbit stands up on the look out as the other seems to be trying to burrow into the ground. It's just great in person as you get the scope of just what's happening. There is much detail in this piece. I have checked it with a magnifying glass and I do not see signs of any transfer but it could possibly be a outline transfer that has been hand painted. I see no dots and I do believe it's completely hand painted. There is a red border and a gold trim at the bottom. There is a hand written number 70 on the bottom of the mug. I guarantee this is a antique cup. The size is quite ... moresmall so not sure if it was meant for a child or not. It measures 2 3/4" tall with a opening of 2 1/2" The condition is nearly perfect. The only thing to mention is some crazing in the glaze on the bottom of the mug. It is strictly in the glaze and does not go into the porcelain. Antique Hand Painted Child Mug "Auntie Paye " 1926 RABBITS
Up for auction is an Antique Ceramic Childs Mug dated on bottom 1926. The mug is in excellent condition and is approximately 2.5 inches in height. By 2.5 inches in diameter. This mug is expertly handpainted with a rabbit scene which includes two rabbits and the name"Curtis" in gold. The male rabbit is painted in a blue coat while the female rabbit is carrying a basket and painted in a red coat both flanking the name"Curtis" on each side. Up for auction is a very nice English Lusterware Child's Mug. Copper in color with a beautiful Orange tan. The mug is in excellent condition as evident by the photos. English and American lustreware[ Metallic lustre of another sort produced English lustreware. Which imparts to a piece of pottery the appearance of an object of silver, gold or copper. Silver lustre employed the new metal. Whose chemical properties were analyzed towards the end of the 18th century, John Hancock of Hanley invented the application of a platinum technique, and"put it in practice at. For Messrs. Daniels and Brown" 10] about 1800. Very dilute amounts of powdered gold or platinum were dissolved in[ 11] and added to spirits of tar for platinum and a mixture of turpentine. Flowers of sulfur and linseed oil for gold. The mixture was applied to the glazed ... moreware and fired in an enameling kiln, depositing a thin film of platinum or gold. 12] Platinum produced the appearance of solid silver. And was employed for the middle class in shapes identical to those uses for silver. Ca. 1810-1840. This auction is for the antique transferware child's mug/cup. Possibly Staffordshire. Has picture of tiger with the words"le tigre" underneath on one side. The other side has a bird which depicts the King Vulture. With t he words underneath"le roi dei Vautour" Mug measures a little over 2 1/2 inches high. and about 2 1/2 inches across the top. One picture shows a defect that was done at pottery. There is a tiny nick on inside lip of mug. Overall crazing due to age. Looks like a kiln mark on bottom. It's a little less than 2.5" tall and it's 2.5" in diameter. It's decorated with an iridescent purple band around the rim. The transfer is kind of a brownish purple in color. There are no chips but there are 2 cracks that come down the side of the cup as in the photos. They appear to have been infused with something to stop the crack and steady the porcelain. I purchased this at an estate auction and am uncertain of its age but believe it to be 19th century and likely. Early in that century. This antique childs mug measures 2 3/4" tall and 2 5/8" across the top. It has a hairline crack. Mostly visible on the inside of the mug. It is visible on the outside just above the shoulder of the second boy from the left playing marbles. It has some brown stained crazing( age lines in the glaze) which looks really worse than it actually is because of the strong light and very close up photos. It looks as if it has a crack on the handle. But it does not go all the way around. There is a teeny line on the"Cricket" side top edge and a pinpoint nip along the rim. The"indent" on the base is not a chip. It has glaze over top and was done in the making. There is a little chip on the rim around the cup at the base as shown.
