For your consideration is AN OLD. Unusual, PIPE AND TOBACCO HUMIDOR BOX. There are 3 different fox hunt scenes on the sides and one of a jocky's hat and crop. A straw hat with a pipe in its brim is on the top. Clusters of pink flowers go around the top and the top sides of the jar. There is a space at the top of the box with a hole in it( see picture) A damp sponge was placed here to keep the tobacco humid. This auction is for a Early Rogers Smith& Co Repousse Silverplate# 1858 Hunt Scenes tea pot& waste bowl. The bowl has some issues. The bowl base has been slightly pushed into the bowl bottom, looks to have been dropped swuare on the base at some time. The tea pot looks perfect. The plating is near 100% on both items. These have tarnish and have not been cleaned. Both are marked on the bottom. The bowl is 5" tall and 6.5" across. The tea pot is 11" tall. The tea pot has little critters detailed on different parts. Beautiful Vintage English Biscuit Tin Box Tally Ho Fox Hunt Scenes 1950s
Beautiful Vintage Biscuit Tin with English Fox Hunt Scenes The artwork on this vintage English biscuit tin is just beautiful. English fox hunting scenes are depicted in a very detailed manner. With lots of movement– as the chase is on! Long, thin, rectangular shape- with a slightly unexpected tall height. The tin has a hinged lid and once contained biscuits from Scribbans Kemp. It dates to circa 1954. There is generalized patina on the tin for an antique look. The vintage wear and patina includes some small areas of wear. Some small scratches and scuffs, some handling marks and soiling, some small dents and dings, etc. Lid is a little more muted than base and has some noticeable soiling. Noticeable denting on front side and one end of base. Some sticky sticker residue on front side. A few more noticeable scratches here and there. Still fairly ... moresmall. Much of inside is covered with dark patina. There is rust inside- around the interior crevice. And around the upper edges and around the lid, including at the hinge areas. Several reverse dings and some other normal wear on bottom. Hinges seem attached well enough and they move freely until they hit a kink when the lid is almost closed. Antique 19th Century English Horn Beakers (3) sizes, Hunt & Farm Scenes RARE!
I have recently acquired this trio of antique English horn beakers from the 19th century. I will describe each beaker as best I can. The first measures about 6.25" high and is about 4" in diameter at the top. The scene on this one appears to be a farm scene. With farmers and implements on it. The second one measures about 5" high x 3" in diameter and is a hunt scene. Thes first two need to be cleaned as they have darkened from age. The third one is 4.5" high and is 2.75" in diameter. It appears that someone tried to clean this one. This also has farm scenes on it. All of the tops are not totally round but again that may be from the age or in the making. Buyer is buying these beakers"as is. Very rare old items. But will accept reasonable offers. Do not hesitate to make an offer. In my previous listing. Pair Antique French White Linen Damask Napkins with Hunt Scenes or En Chasse
For your conisderation is this lovely pair of antique pure white French damask linen napkins or in this case due to their capacious size"lapkins" Each napkin measures approximately 28 by 31 inches and are in excellent condition free from stains. Holes, odors or other unpleasantries. Each napkin is center mongrammed"RL" and surrounded with a garland of foliage and a hound. Scattered over the rest of the napkin are grouse, more hounds, leaping deer and balusters from a classical French garden. I tried my best to capture the high level of detail in the damask weave but the images really do not do the textiles justice. I did also adjust the exposure to try and show the detailing. Please note the napkins are pure white. Freshly laundered and starched, ready to pop into your linen press and enjoy for years to come. Vintage Painted Steel Box With Lid-Hunt Scenes-Curved Sides-12" x 8" x 4 1/2"
Offered is this vintage steel box with a hinged lid and attractive curved sides. It is painted a sort of mottled dark brown and copper and features hunt scenes on the lid and all four sides. The box measures approx. 12" wide. 8" deep and sits about 4 1/2" high. It is in good condition. But there are some small spots where the paint has been worn off. The picture on the lid is somewhat faded and spotted but the pictures on the sides are in better condition. The fox pictures on each side are identical and the hunt picture on the front is the same as the one on the back. The inside of the box is fairly rusty but the inside of the lid is not. Very rare highly illustrated Staffordshire cheese dish with English hunt scenes
auction by CHEETAH EXPERIENCE | | Staffordshire cheese dish with English hunt scenes. This rare. Highly illustrated cheese dish, with Staffordshire impressed on the base, is in excellent condition. Covered with scenes of the English Hunt. This wedge shape was popular for the cheese course in late Victorian and Edwardian times, but I'm not sure of its exact date. The base measures approximately 8.5 x 7.5 inches. And it is 7 inches high to the top of the handle. There is no damage that I can see. Nor any sign that repairs have ever been made. There are some marks on the edge of the top where it touches the base that look as if they were there from manufacture. Please see pictures for details- these marks show in the last image. 6" Wedgewood Creamware Pitcher - Hounds - Hunt Scenes
Vintage Wedgwood of Etruria creamware pitcher. Great piece features a hound handle and deep relief hunting scenes around the pitcher. The pitcher is approx. 6" in height to the top of the pitcher spout. It is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is some discoloration in the bottom of the pitcher that I will see if I can wash out. I wanted to get these pictures taken outside before the weather changed and I did not have a chance to wash this piece. It is well marked on the bottom with the Wedgwood of Etruria marks as can be seen in the pictures. This is just a real nice piece of creamware from a well-known manufacture. Early Unusual Form Old Paris Vase w/Boar Hunt Scenes NR
Early very unusual porcelain pillow shaped vase depicting a boar hunt on one side and a fox stalking a family of ducks on the other. It's very well done the scenes on both sides are not only blown out of the body they are hand painted, the more you look at them the more you see, it's quite large about 8 1/2in. high by about 8in. wide by about 4in. thick, as you can see it stands on four legs, it's not marked at all so it's really impossible to say who made in but the coloring on it leads me to believe it was done in France and possibly by Old Paris, it's in perfect condition and a form that I really have not run into very often, it's very unusual, if you are into hunting or just like unusual porcelain vases I don't think you will find the mate to this one right away, if ever, it is guaranteed old. 3 Vintage Bridge Tally Cards~Fox Hunt Scenes~Red Coats/Horses Jumping~Germany From a local estate. This auction offers three vintage Bridge Tally Cards, each showing a fox hunting scene. Each measures approximately 4 1/2" long x 2 1/2" wide. All were printed in Germany. The pictures are framed in a shape from a suite of cards in gold(club, heart, diamond) The card shown in picture 3 has a nick in the paper midway down the right side. They show some staining near the top and one card(picture 2) has a crease at the top. The cord on the card in picture two is mostly missing- the cord on the card in picture 3 is intact- and the cord on the card in picture 4 is there but unknotted. All 3 cards are blank on the backs. Hares, hounds all leaping, and castles. The band around the lid edge is flashed and cut back to ovals. The body is etched with scrolls beading and medallions filled with etched lattice. It is an estate find, free of any dents or holes, no smell or odors and colors are vivid. It is from a nonsmoking home.
