These mugs have a nice cobalt color with a different Chinoiserie scenes in the center of either side of the mugs. Bordered in shiny copper lustre. One scene features a peasant in front of a knotwork fence, and the other features a child sitting on a fence, holding a bird, talking with an adult figure holding a parasol. The same motif is repeated on all three mugs. We estimate these are from the mid 1800's. The medium sized mug has been repaired and it is cracked. The small one has a harline. This is in good condition with a few dents to the copper. Both to the body of the mug and to the base. It has a slight wobble when sitting on a flat surface and the top is uneven from when it was made. The handle has a few dents and bends, also from when it was made. The copper has some rubs and wear, and it's also oxidizing in areas where it's turning green, which is mostly toward the top edge and where the handle meets the cup. It measures 6 1/4" tall. Up for bids is a small copper lustre mug and saucer made from red clay. Cup is 2-1/2" tall. 2-1/2" diameter at mouth. Saucer is 5-1/2" diameter. Made with red clay. Totally covered with copper glaze inside and out except for unglazed pottery ring on bottom. The glaze has sort of a cracked eggshell effect. Saucer is coupe shape. Not marked on the bottom. Antique Copper Luster Ware Embossed Yellow Band Lusterware Beaded Mug Cup Old
Here is an antique. Bright and shiny copper luster ware 3" mug for your consideration. I don't know if the base is glass or porcelain, but it is thin and quite light in weight. The copper luster completely covers the inside of the mug which is embossed with a floral design in three places around the yellow band. The copper bottom band is encircled with a tiny beading design. The bottom diameter of the mug measures 3.25 inches and is shiny with the copper luster. There is no maker's mark anywhere on the piece. Condition is very good, no chips, no nicks, no cracks, no bites, no flakes. only flaw would be that the copper luster has normal age/use related wear on the handle, and around the very rim of the cup, and around the very edge of the base. Overall the copper luster is still quite dominant, and when I washed this with warm ... morewater, the cup stayed warm for quite a while as the metal held the heat! A fine looking antique Victorian Era Copper Lustre goblet with a row of beading below the bittersweet colored panel. A charming decoration on the panel of a large rose with leaves in relief to either side of the bowl. The lustre is still bright and beautiful. A deep coppery coloring and quite reflective. Fabulous dark copper lustre body both inside and out on a dark red clay body. The piece displays good wear overall. Certainly indicative of it's great age. This is a very cute little antique lusterware child's mug. It stands about 2.5 in tall and is 2.25 in diameter at the top. It has beautiful coppery paint with a raised band of pink beading around the center. It's in pretty good shape other than it may have been a factory second with some type of defect in the original firing at the base(which you can see in the second picture) and a spot on the top rim as well. This coffee cup was manufactured in the Staffordshire district of England during the 19th Century. Very nice early copper lustreware. The coffee cup is 2 1/2" H. x 2 ½” across. The condition is very good with some wear to the blue enamel. But no damage or repairs. This small mug might have been intended for a child. It's 2 11/16" high and 2 3/4" across the bottom. It's copper lustre with maize and teal stripes. There are only tiny scratches on the outside and no chips or cracks. I noticed the lustre shows relections in the pictures that maybe mistakn for spots or damage. It is in very good condition. This is really a gorgeous antique mid to late 1800's copper lustre mug in a large size. It measures 3 3/4 inches tall. 3 3/4 inches across the top and 5 3/8 inches measured across handle. Most of the ones I have seen like this are a smaller size. It features an interior top band of pink lustre that runs all the way around the edge. There is a lovely large center band that runs all the way around it that features a leaf decoration of pink/gold lustre on a tan colored band. The bottom is copper lustre. There are no chips or cracks. Just a really beautiful piece of pottery! It does have the soft paste imperfections- raised clay bumps, particularly on the off-white interior, which is characteristic of this lovely pottery. In the photo you see of the bottom of the mug, those aren't chips and problems- the bottom is also in excellent condition- ... morethe light hit the lustre and shows all the normal roughness of this type pottery. The bottom is very beautiful also. I usually list items with a best offer option. It has an elegant curved scroll handle with thumbrest. It measures apprx. 3 1/2" high 4 3/4" across to the handle. It is in fairly good used condition for it's age. It has been repaired from a break sometime in the past. No missing chips. Hopefully, you can easily see the repair by the handle.
