Scarce Large Antique American Pewter Plate, William Danforth - Middletown, CT., c. 1792 - 1820. This is a large pewter plate by one of the finest families ... morethat manufactured American pewter. This pewter plate has a single reeded rim and shows good manufacture. The plate has a part of two impressed eagle marks. Both marks are worn and hard to read, but one can clearly recognize the "W", above the stars and eagle. There is also a "D" that can still be read below the eagle mark to the left. This would mean there is the name "WILLIAM", above the eagle and "DANFORTH", below the eagle. The second mark appearsto have a part of the name "DANFORTH" below the eagle. These marks are listed in "A Guide To American Pewter" by Carl Jacobs, mark number 122, page 81-82; where an 8" plate with this mark was valued at $65 back in 1957.

Antique German Stein Salt Glazed Blue StonewareTavern Scene Pewter Lid.Free Shp
Authentic Antique German Stein-Antique 1/2 liter/ 16.9 oz. German Blue stoneware salt glaze stein. It shows sign of aging. As expected but is in good condition. The bottom appears to say GERMANY 284/ and a maker's stamp and is numbered 1. This is from an estate of a man who lived and collected antique steins from about 1899 to 1960.I can't see any other marks except a dark spot near the scene of two men and a slight dent in the lid. It is unlikely that a stein this old would have a perfect lid if it is authentic. The texture is slightly pebbly as it should be, as it is an authentic antique stoneware glazed stein. PR. ANTIQUE GERMAN STEINS~IMAGES INSIDE~PEWTER TOPS~1906 AUSBERG~REALLY COOL~NR~
PR. ANTIQUE GERMAN STEINS~IMAGES INSIDE~PEWTER TOPS~1906 AUSBERG~REALLY COOL~NR~ OKAY.THIS IS THE DEAL.I am not a stein collector; although I sell and collect antiques for most of my years. I do know something about what is good and different. And these are! There are two and I am selling as a pair. Because this is not my thing. They came with an item that I paid dearly for, so I am just trying to get some of my money back. One stein is 10" high with a pewter top adorned by a canon. It is marked on the outside Ausberg 1906, obviously a commerative piece. Unfortunately it has a crack near the top going into the opening right by the date and down the side. The crack could very well be repaired by a pro and I believe this one is worth doing that. When you hold the stein up to the light, see the picture that one sees when drinking or looking ... moreinto the stein. The stein bottom has a soldier, I suppose saying goodbye to his sweetheart. The rest of the stein is fine except that doggone crack, but it still is a really neat stein. Consider this one a great look on your mantle, and pay for the second one which is in good shape. If this was in good condition, I would research them and sell separate, but as is.it merely is a throw in, but sure neat looking. Now.second stein. It is a teal greenish blue with lots of pretty gilt. It is in good condition. No chips, no cracks, etc. Has alot of German writing on the bottom, and I don't speak German. It is 9 inches tall. This one is the KICKER. HOLD THIS ONE UP TO THE LIGHT AND LOOK INSIDE AND YOU HAVE A LADY WHO IS INCREDIBLY ENDOWED. I hope eBay doesn't consider this porno.my husband says its ART! Really cool too. Anyway, that is the deal. Have fun bidding. I ship and pack excellent. And use bubblewrap, no paper in small box. I PACK.YOU WILL GET THEM SAFELY. PLEASE EMAIL ANY QUESTIONS. HAPPY TO OBLIGE. THIS IS A FINAL SALE, I AM NOT A COLLECTOR PERSON.

Antique Stein Wow! This auction is for a really nice and VERY rare antique figural porcelain German stein. The stein is shaped like a rather creepy pig and it’s completely hand painted. Afterwards he worked for Johann Ernst Dubois until in 1866, he founded his business in Heiligerstraße 6, once he had become a Zinngeißereimeister(pewter master) In 1903 the company was taken over by August's sons, Ernst.
