The glazing on this crock is in beautiful condition, inside and out. The crock has no markings on it but I suspect it was made locally as S.E. Ohio was/is well known for its good clay soils for producing pottery, ceramics& glass. Within one half hour of where I live is where the homes of such companies as Roseville Pottery, Hull Pottery, Hall Pottery, Anchor-Hocking Glass, Hocking Glass, Fenton, McCoy Pottery, etc. were located. This old crock, though it is missing its lid(like many) is in very, very good condition with no cracks, nicks, etc. and would make a great addition to any collection. Exceptional quality. Small alkaline or salt glazed, primitive antique crock. 6 1/4 inches high, about 3 inch top diameter, about 4 1/4 inch bottom diameter. Looks to be just under 5 inches around(diameter) in the middle. Nice luster, looks different in every kind of light. Glaze is nicely variegated- study photos to get the feel and look of this relatively heavy piece(for its size) Does not appear to be missing a lid- the way the opening was made, I do not believe this ever had a lid, at least not a ceramic one that would have been incorporated into the clay design when the piece was hand thrown. Looks like this crock could originate from the Catawba Valley Pottery, but just my opinion. Glaze& form reminds me a little bit of Pewabic Pottery pieces, but not iridescent. Not much wear given its age- glaze has rubbed off in a few small spots ... morearound the rim(see photo) but no serious chips or cracks. Bottom is unmarked. All sales are final- no returns. It is a grey glazed crock jar with a brown glazing inside the jar. Old stoneware jar is in good shape overall for its' age. It has a tiny chip around the inside top rim and a small hairline that extends slightly down one side. Otherwise it is in great shape and a nice solid jar overall. It holds one gallon filled to its brim and measures approximately 9 3/4" high. 6 1/4" wide at the bottom& 5 1/2" wide at the top. The opening is 4" wide and it has a tapered neck. The glazing on this crock is in beautiful condition, inside and out. The crock has no markings on it but I suspect it was made locally as S.E. Ohio was/is well known for its good clay soils for producing pottery, ceramics& glass. Within one half hour of where I live is where the homes of such companies as Roseville Pottery, Hull Pottery, Hall Pottery, Anchor-Hocking Glass, Hocking Glass, Fenton, McCoy Pottery, etc. were located. Antique Stoneware Butter Crock This brown& white crock is from about 1920. My grandmother had this in her house. My father was born in 1913 and remembers this crock in the kitchen when he was 7 or 8 years of age. The crock is glazed and the glaze is in very good condition. There are no cracks in this piece. The crock weighs almost 6 lbs. and is 8" tall x 8 1/2" wide. Use in your vintage style decor. This is a versatile item. Use it to store your kitchen utensils such as wooden spoons. Rolling pins, whisks. This can also be used for plants either in the garden or in the home. I can see this item going well with a cottage style. Fulper Art Pottery Green and Brown ' Cat's Eye ' Flambe Glazed Low Bowl
This Fulper bowl measures about 6 1/4 inches wide and about 2 inches tall. The outside is glazed in a dark brown to mustard yellow and the interior has a beautiful bright green mixed with yellows and browns on the interior walls. The bowl is marked FULPER on the base. Overall. The bowl looks lovely though it has a tight crack on one side see photos 6,7& 8. There is also some crazing in the center of the interior of the piece(see photo 4) This bowl is a lovely example of Fulper's Arts and Crafts pottery. What a piece!

McCoy Stoneware Tidbit Bowl Marked 111 USA Brown Glazed Inside Matte Outside
This is a McCoy Pottery Tidbit bowl with a metal handle. The bowl is marked with USA on the bottom and the number 111. The bowl measures 5" tall to the top of the handle. The diameter of the bowl is 7" and the base measures 3 1/4" in diameter. The silver plating is coming off of the handle a bit. The handle looks like it may be bent a little. The bowl is designed to look like it has a wood grain. The rim is a matte finish stoneware. All of my items are from a smoke free environment. I take lots of pictures.
