Antique- Vintage Invalid Feeder Cup Circa 1900 Used year ago to feed and medicate the sick. Invalids, children. Maker's mark o n the bottom: Royal ... moreIronstone China J.H.M. White porcelain china with black maker's mark on the bottom. Measures 6 1/8" wide from the spout to the opposite side by 5 1/8" from handle to opposite side by 2 3/8" tall. Base rim is 2 1/4" diameter. Cup opening at the top has a scalloped edging and inside 5 strainer holes that lead out to the spout for pouring and feeding into person's mouth. Plain white porcelain without any decorations or colorations. Condition is as you see in the photos. The while porcelain china has crackle which is typical with old age. NOTE: at the spout tip there are a few tiny nips on the end. I tried to photograph but it was difficult because so small and underneath. There is also a hairline inside the cup bowl at top that does not extend to outside so it may be original to when the feeder cup was made. A few knot imperfections also from time it was made. Small marks. Rub and scuff on base rim. Feeder cup is not dated. However, you can tell by the maker's mark, crackle, and aging that it is old. I am estimating circa 1900 and could be a bit earlier like late 1800's I just can't be sure. It is pre-owned, old and was used so buyer will be someone who understands current condition and is ok with it. Item is being sold“as is” as was found. Antique white chamber pot made in the late 1800's Very nice condition for its age! Bowl measures 8 1/2 inches in diameter and 5 1/4 inches tall Handle ... moreextends out another 2 inches and is approx. 4 inches tall Marked ROYAL IRONSTONE CHINA with the stamp of the lion. Crown and unicorn, with CHARLES MEAKIN ENGLAND under it. This printed mark was used on the earliest pottery made at the Burslem Works location. From 1870 to 1882. There are a few expected minor anomalies inherent with hand-made pottery. The inside is quite clean. Close inspection reveals very minor scratches on the bottom from use over 130 years ago. The glazing on the exterior is very nice There are no chips on the top edge. As shown in the photos. There is a very small crack at the top right side of the handle that appears to have been glued, possibly prior to glazing. This is not very obvious to the eye when on display, and in my opinion it is a minor visual issue. I have tried to be as complete as possible in my description. But I'm not an antique expert and have assessed this chamber pot based on the research I have done. Please look carefully at the photos. As they are part of the description. Because of the age of this item. It will be sold AS IS and returns not accepted. so if you have any questions at all about the condition of this piece, please be sure to ask before purchasing so there are no surprises. This will be very carefully packed. And shipped within 2 days of payment to your location anywhere within the continental United States. Thank you very much for your interest!

Vintage Jean Pouyat Limoges France Tankard - (559), 13", Signed E. Vandament
Absolutely gorgeous Jean Pouyat Limoges France tankard. Although it is not dated I do believe this is from the early 1900's due to the quality of the artwork and stamp. Beautiful cream background with grapes in shades of purple and green and brown leaves. A dark green base accents this with the gold dragon handle. It is approximately 13" tall and 4" wide at the top opening to the end of the spout. Signed on the artwork by E. Vandament and stamped on the bottom with the green J. P. L. France stamp. It is also incised with the"559" mark and has a green"54" painted on the bottom. There is wear on the paint on the handle and one area on the base that I could find. There are no cracks. Chips, or crazing on this gorgeous tankard. The tankard will be packed in an individual box and shipped within another box for ... moresafe shipping. I use packing peanuts and bubble wrap. Please see photos. Contact if you have questions or need additional photos. Thank you for bidding.
JPL Jean Pouyat Limoges Grapes mug tankard stein signed E Kaley
Beautiful example of a porcelain stein/mug/tankard imported from Jean Pouyet in France and hand-painted here in America. Signed by the artist- E.Kaley and lovingly decorated with bunches of grapes separated into two panels by painted columns. The back-stamp-JPL-France Limoges- was used from 1890-1932. There are some mistakes in the paint-a smudge on the handle and along the base where the paint was not applied evenly. And a small bare spot on the rim. Many women purchased and painted various styles of imported blank porcelain items during this time period. It was a popular pastime and some went on to be quite well known. Other than the mistakes noted above the over all condition is quite good-no chips or cracks. Some wear to the base. Please see pictures. Any questions. JEAN POUYAT ( JPL ) LIMOGES PORCELAIN BEER MUG / TANKARD HAND PAINTED PLUMS
Normal 0 0 1 238 1357 11 2 1666 11.1282 0 0 0 This beautiful hand painted porcelain beer mug or tankard dates to the early 1900s. The decoration—a lush display of ripe plums and foliage on a tree—is painted with rich colors: olive and grass green. Teal, smoky blue, purple, magenta, and tan on a background of aqua and cream. The plums and leaves look very three dimensional and almost jump off the side of the mug. I’ve looked but cannot find an artist’s signature. Note how the handle has been charmingly sculpted to resemble a twig. The beer mug measures 5 inches tall and about 4 inches across the base. Which spreads out a little as you can see in the photos. The opening at the top is a little under 3 inches across. The mug is in very good condition with no nicks or flakes to the painted image, and the gilt rim at the top is also in fine condition. ... moreThe little spots on the back of the handle appear to be tiny flecks of gilt or paint. There is a hairline scratch on the plum farthest to the right, which is barely visible to the naked eye and shouldn’t show when the mug is displayed. Under magnification I also see several tiny spots of white on the dark green base, which appear to be from the way the paint was applied. All these flaws are consistent with the mug’s age and do not detract from the beauty of the mug; I mention them only for accuracy. This is truly a striking display piece. Please look at all the photos which are intended to complement my description. On the bottom is the JPL/ France mark. JPL was the mark of the Pouyat Porcelain family. Who manufactured porcelain at the Jean Pouyat porcelain factory in Limoges, France, for decades. Pouyat porcelain was known for its fine texture. Good luck if you bid and don’t hesitate to contact me with questions. Normal 0 0 1 176 1005 8 2 1234 11.1282 0 0 0 TERMS OF SALE: Payment is due within 4 business days from end of auction. Limoges JPL Jean Pouyat Mug, Stein, RARE Dutch Children Scene - Artist Signed MG
Beautiful Jean Pouyat Limoges France antique mug or stein dated 1909. This mug has a hard to find scene with dutch children and a scenic dutch background with a windmill. I have no books but looking online I can find nothing remotely similar to it. The bottom is artist signed M. G. Dated 1909 and imprinted in the white has the number"559" with a"1" below that and the JPL mark that was used c. 1890- 1932. This mug has approx. measurements of 5 1/4" high, 4 1/4" across the bottom, 3 1/4" across the top, and 5" from outside handle to opposite side. This is a used and antique piece over 100 years old. It is not thin and dainty porcelain- the mug is very heavy and solid. The inside is very clean and I see no crazing. Chips, cracks or stains. The outside painted scene is in really nice condition and simply ... morebeautiful. The main flaw that I could see is in the solid darker green colored parts of the mug. On the handle and on the very bottom around the edge(dark green) there are some very small dots of color loss or paint wear. Other than that I can find very little wrong with this piece although there may be other small spots of paint loss or light scratches in other areas. No chips, breaks, repairs, cracks etc. The bottom of the mug does have some wear around the edges and maker's flaw of some extra colored spots. Please look at all of my photos as they are the main part of the description- I've included ones from every angle. This mug/stein is being sold"As Is" so please ask any questions you might have before bidding. Thanks for looking.

The two Pouyat brothers formed a partnership with the ... moreowner of a factory in Fours to produce porcelain for decoration in Paris. They bought the factory in 1820. It was directed by Leonard Pouyat until his death 1845 and continued in production until 1865. The Locre works(in Paris) was sold 1823. But Jean-Baptiste Pouyat remained in Paris as head of sales. Francois Pouyat also opened a small factory in Limoges in 1832. And in 1835 he bought a clayworks and porcelain workshop established in Saint-Leonard, near Limoges, in the 1820s.
