Antique Pair of Mugs Staffordshire Green Print & Tom & Jerry Mug.
Antique Pair of Mugs Staffordshire Green Print& Tom& Jerry Mug. ATTENTION I ship ALL fragile things PRIORITY MAIL INSURED ONLY which I offer at cost. It is more expensive but worth it for your and my protection as EXPERIENCE has shown this to be the safest way to ship fragile items. The cost between Priority and Parcel Post under 5 pounds is insignificant. If over 10 pounds I generally ship UPS as safest way to go. Additionally I pack and wrap things very well to insure safe arrival. This is for two old mugs. The first is a Tom& Jerry mug. This has some wear to the gold but that is all. It is 3" in diameter and 3 1/4" high. The other is some sort of green transfer printed mug- I believe it is part of a Victorian Commode set and this being the water mug used to rinse after brushing the teeth. This has a glazed chip as ... moreyou can see in the 6th photo done at the factory but that is all. It measures 3 3/4" high and 3 3/4" in diameter. Thanks for looking and good luck! The shipping weight is 2 pounds Priority shipping and includes FREE insurance. There ARE NO charges for packing and wrapping but are always just the USPS charges. If I miss the weight it comes out of MY pocket not yours. People STILL keep hitting me down in on the shipping in feedback which is a mystery to me as I OFTEN ship Priority which is a bit more expensive but on fragile items much more likely to arrive in one piece. THESE COSTS ARE FOR YOUR PROTECTION! Please understand that. This item may weigh out as much as 15 ounces less than the indicated weight BUT the USPS rounds UP the weight to the greatest pound over that additional ounce. This is true whether Priority or Parcel Post- this is NOT my doing. I spend a lot on bubble wrap and am glad to offer it for FREE but am at a loss as to why I am being consistently down rated on the cost of the postage and handling which I have NO control over. International buyers must pay with Pay Pal. Please note that all Internationally shipped packages will go out Priority Internati

Antique Mug COMICAL Hunting Scene w/ RABBIT Porcelain Staffordshire Cup Child's
This is a wonderful little mug. It has a hand painted scene on it of two hunter's and two rabbit's. One hunter has a confused look on his face. Holding his hand up to his head he looks for those rabbit's which are hiding behind a large rock. One rabbit stands up on the look out as the other seems to be trying to burrow into the ground. It's just great in person as you get the scope of just what's happening. There is much detail in this piece. I have checked it with a magnifying glass and I do not see signs of any transfer but it could possibly be a outline transfer that has been hand painted. I see no dots and I do believe it's completely hand painted. There is a red border and a gold trim at the bottom. There is a hand written number 70 on the bottom of the mug. I guarantee this is a antique cup. The size is quite ... moresmall so not sure if it was meant for a child or not. It measures 2 3/4" tall with a opening of 2 1/2" The condition is nearly perfect. The only thing to mention is some crazing in the glaze on the bottom of the mug. It is strictly in the glaze and does not go into the porcelain. This is a delightfully whimsical antique item and the high bidder will be thrilled when they have it in the hand and can see it in person. Please let me know if you have any questions. Will be securely packed for a safe delivery. Sent with insurance.

In order of our photographs, the first Toby Jug measures 10” tall and depicts a Dog standing on its hind legs. This jug has gilded accents and except for an overall crazing to the glaze, it is in all original condition with no restorations. Up next is a 9 ½” tall jug that depicts an Old Woman. This jug has some light wear to the cold painted surface and in our close ups you can see a defect to the pottery, which happened during the making. There are no other problems or any restoration. The next two antique Toby Jugs in this auction measure 7 ½” tall and depict men with beer. The man in the green coat has some wear to the cold paint, but that’s it. 5 Antique Staffordshire Purple Luster Satyr Mugs Tankard One Frog Prattware 1815
Very rare set of 5 English Staffordshire pottery(Prattware)purple luster satyr mugs. Ca. 1815, in perfect condition. Beautifully rendered satyrs, with horns and long pointed ears in multi-colored glazes. Uncommon with the dark peachy complexions found on this set, including blushed cheeks& brow. They usually tend to have much paler, almost white faces. Estate purchased, with a dust accumulation from decades of storage in a china cabinet. Probably started out as a set of 6, but 5 have survived the 2 centuries together. Light crazing as expected with age, but no cracks, chips, or hairlines. I think these were treasured by the former owner, and rarely used. The common opinion is that these were wine tankards(representing Bacchus) but I feel they were used more often for Toddy's& Nogs(Tom& Jerry's, etc. probably at holiday ... morecelebrations, since satyr's were spirits of mirth. One of the set contains a"surprise" frog as it's known. I assume the bearer of that mug, when revealed, would receive a special honor, or gift. Measure over 5" tall x 4" deep at the handle, and weigh about 1/2 lb. each. Rare opportunity to own something truly unique! Visit my store and shop an eclectic selection of high quality antiques. Curios, hardware!
