this is a stunning vintage hand carved wooden convex wall mirror. it is a very large mirror and has a wonderful gold gilt finish. the mirror is circular and has a convex domed shape. the top is a large very ornate eagle with wings spread. He stands on the mirror with a long olive leaf in hand. the mirror has many dimensional spheres running around the whole border of the frame. the bottom also has very dimensional ornate detailing with a stylized floral design. the frame measures 30 3/4 by 22 1/2 inches. already has a hanging wire on the back ready for mounting. it is in great shape and no pieces missing. the actual convex mirror is fading a bit but still does work as a mirror. Antique or vintage hand mirror decorated with deep teal colored feathers! This is a very interesting item. It is a heavy. Quality, beveled oval-shaped mirror with a wooden handle. The perimeter of the mirror front and back has been adorned with the pretty feathers and given a silky ribbon adornment on the back. I'm not sure when it was made- it does show considerable age. I can see just a very tiny bit of the back of the mirror on the reverse, and it is metal. Under all those feathers I don't know what condition it is in- it's possible someone may want this to restore it to the original condition but I can't say what condition the mirror is underneath the decorations. This vintage ornate hand mirror measures 4 10/16" long and 2 4/16" wide. It weighs 1.7 oz. so handles nicely. The mirror itself is not clear. It is like the backing on the back is worn off. The unique old fashioned outdoor scene on it is quite interesting with a cabin in the background. The pick axe, dog, barrel, what appears to be a fiddler and three other men in the woods. I am not sure if this is silver or not since so far I have not been able to verify it but the markings on the side are shown in picture#3 which I hope will help you know more about it. This is a vintage vanity mirror that is hand painted on cast iron(I think it is cast iron as a magnet sticks to it) It stands 14 1/4 inches tall with the mirror having a diameter of 10 inches. There is a raised number on bottom of stand but I did not find a maker name. The mirror has a bevel edge and some normal wear. The mirror looks foggy because it is reflecting the table top. Gorgeous Rustic Primitive Old Vintage Hand Carved Wood Mirror With Copper Brass I brought home a truck load of items from the auction last week. It was a farm estate. And I found some fabulous primitive antiques, as well as boxes and boxes of antique and vintage hardware that I will be listing for a long long time- someone clearly was a woodworker or dabbled in furniture creation or restoration. There’s something for everyone! O.K. I was getting so frustrated that I didn't think that my indoor photos were reflecting the color of this beauty correctly, I just had to run outside to grab some sub-zero accurate shots for you! This one is a beauty. It's a wall minor that is older vintage(if not antique- it's old, but the mirror is not wavy like oldold glass) and it's all hand carved wood, with brass accents on the corners and perimeter, ... moreand a copper pressed copper sheet accent layer on the inside perimeter of the mirror. It's a nice sized mirror- large enough to use, yet small enough to fit just about anywhere. The wood frame measures 9 1/8" wide by 13" tall and the inside opening/the mirror measures 7" by 4 1/2" It has and old rusty wire for hanging at the back- it looks like it may be original and, I think the backside is as interesting as the front. You can see an old browned paperboard at the back of the mirror, and you can see remnants of and old brown paper border that was adhered to the perimeter of the opening at the back. It's dark, and very brittle paper now, chipped off all over, especially the top left corner of it, which is gone. On the paperboard, you can see an old white tag with a red boarder- something used to be written on it, but it's worn in the middle and I cannot read. You can also see hand writting markings in pen- it looks like 37 1/2- 12, but I'm not sure- supersize and see what you think. From tip to tip in both directions the frame measures 34" H x 34" W The mirror itself is about 7 1/4" square. The mirror frame is composed by four quadrants. Lovely Small Old Vintage Cast Metal Beveled Hand Mirror Denmark Mark The pickens were slim this weekend as far as auctions and estate sales. So I went to a favorite antique mall that always has an awesome February sale. Picked up lots of antiques and unique items to list! I also continue to list new items from the farm estate auction, with lookouts more new hardware pieces over the next several weeks. I am also going to one of my favorite flea market shows this weekend, so wish me luck! There’s something for everyone! Here is a lovely small hand mirror that I'm calling vintage. But I do believe that it could be old enough to be antique. It is made from a cast metal that looks very much like pewter to me(but I'm not sure- see what you think) and it has a high relieve image on the backside of what looks like people in a village. The ... morepatina is dark- it looks lighter in some of my photos because of the bright reflection off of the snow- wee the ones where it's laying on my table for the most accurate color. The handle is fancy scrolly too. The mirror has a beveled edge to it and it reflects very well, with minimal silver loss but lots of light scratches all over the face of the mirror- I did my best to show you. It's pretty consistent with age- actually, I think looks pretty good for an oldee! No other issues with the mirror. It measures 4 1/2" handle to end and is 2 1/2" diameter. It's light weighing just a couple of ounces. It has a mark of"Denmark" on the perimeter of the backside of the mirror. This is a nice old one that will display and work very well for you. This is a very beautiful antique vintage silverplate Victorian style hand vanity mirror. It has ornaments with floral designs. The frame and the handle have a silver tone. Age is not known, but it could be quiet old. The frame has very few minor scratches. The mirror's glass surface is in good condition, there is only slight darkening under the glass on the edge of the glass- please, see the photos for the details. Measurements of the mirror: 9 1/2" in length with the handle, the diameter of the round portion(glass+frame) is approx. 5 1/2" The mirror is quiet heavy- approx. 22oz. Highly detailed and very ornate frame and shelf. On the back of the mirror signed“Made in Italy” One loop on the back of the mirror and two loops on the back of the shelf for hanging on the wall.
