Antique Bradley & Hubbard Ornate Cast Iron Bronzed Bacchus Mirror Frame
Antique ornate cast iron bronzed mirror frame depicting the head of the Greek God Bacchus. The rest of the frame is a tremendous amount of work in the Art Nouveau style. This has the original formed tin sheet that is the backing to hold the mirror in the frame. There is no mirror. A replacement will be required and can be acquired at any glass and mirror shop in almost all towns and cities. They are inexpensive. This is marked B&H, and has a bronze ring to hang it with. Manufactured around 1870. It is almost identical to an easel bronze Bacchus bronze mirror frame I have listed as well. But the easel mirror frame is not marked. Both were acquired from the same estate and they were used as a set, one on a parlour table, the other hanging above it. The two bottom corners of this piece have no feet as does the easel frame, and less flourish ... moreon these two corners. It is impossible to tell if this was manufactured this way as part of this set, or if an early owner had it customized this way to hang above the easel frame in my other listing. A very beautiful example of early cast iron and bronze guilding. This piece is 14.25" tall. And 9.5" wide, and heavy. Payment by PayPal only- No eChecks. Antique Victorian Tilting Vanity Mirror, Ornate Floral Metal Frame
This is a gorgeous old Victorian tilting mirror in a larger size. 19” tall, 12” wide. The frame on this is all flowers and Acanthus leaves with a large ornate foot. The metal has an aged patina and the back has an old time worn and stained cover. There are no chips or cracks to the mirror but it is starting to freckle and shows age. This displays beautifully and would be an asset to any Victorian room. The items that I sell are the items I love. Memories, antique and vintage, they are old and as with all vintage pieces are to be considered used and therefore possibly showing wear for the age. Antique Vintage Shabby Oval Beveled Mirror With Ornate Metal Frame
This auction is for an antique vintage oval beveled mirror with an ornate metal frame. The frame measures 12" tall and 9" wide. The mirror is 7-1/2 x 5-1/2. The frame has a light misting of rust on it but all of the decoration is intact. The back of the frame holding the mirror in place appears to be brass. It shows surface scratching. Has a dent in the center, and shows some rust, especially at the top. There are four bars which screw into the frame which hold the mirror/backing in place. There are two loops molded into the frame to hold the wire for hanging. The mirror is hazy around the edges and has marks on the surface, the largest which is shown in the last photo. The mirror is beautiful alone or hanging with a collection of antique mirrors.

antique big ornate victorian solid brass lion head raised rare mirror frame 1800
this is an exquisite very rare antique victorian large wall mirror. it has exquisite ornate detailing. And made from very heavy solid brass. on the top is a large lion head which has very beautiful detail and in his mouth holds 3 dimensional scrollwork which leads down to the circle mirror. the mirror actually sits off of the wall and hangs from the lions mouth. Very exquisite obscure design. the mirror is in great shape. It was replaced at some point, and as well as the cardboard backing in the back, looks great. the piece has a wonderful patina from age. This is a gorgeous. Antique, gold, gesso mirror that has been in my family for ages. The frame dates back to the 1880's according to my nana who passed it down to me. This piece has seen some wear and isn't perfect but, nothing that takes away from how gorgeous this piece is. I think any minor flaw just adds to the patina of the piece. The mirror itself is beveled and in beautiful condition for its age. There is hardly a scratch on it which is quite remarkable. The frame measures 20"x 20" and as you can see from the picture. Antique Oval Small Mirror Frame Bronze Brass? Very Heavy, Ornate, Foundry Mark
This is a very old and very heavy frame. Probably made in the late Victorian era at the end of the 19th century, or the very early 20th century. It is marked on the back 217 and in another place it looks like NB+NY- not sure about this mark, the second part is hard read. Might be NV or even IW. I believe it is bronze or brass. I have seen this frame in a larger version many times in cast iron, and those are heavy, but this one is REALLY heavy. You may have seen frames like this that are usually a foot tall or more. This is a little guy. Only 9" tall and 8" across. The frame has been fitted with a mirror which is newer. There are 3 little tabs that more easily on the back. And you could replace the mirror with glass and use it as a picture frame if you wanted. I think this frame probably had an easel-back at one time so that you ... morecould use it on a table. That has not survived the last 125 years or so. This is suitable for hanging with 2 small screws that would hold each curved piece at the top. This is great for any place you want to add a little reflection, especially nice in a grouping of mirrors. Mid-Century Wall Mirror with Ornate Wood Frame. I'm not sure if this is Danish or not- my grandparents were Danish and had a lot of Danish items. The design is very elaborate on the top and sides of the frame. However, as stated in the condition description, the top part of the frame has several breaks and chips in it. If the mirror was replaced and the frame was restored this could be a nice item. I saw one similar go for a lot of money. But it needs some work. The frame from the end of the wood to the end of the wood measures approximately 32" by 23 3/4. The mirror area measures approximately 29 3/4" by 17 1/2. This is an absolutely beautiful antique wall mirror with great detail on the mirror and the frame. The mirror is etched in an elegant floral deisgn with finely detailed mounting buttons. The wood frame has gold leaf accent paint and has intricate carving as well. This is in GREAT condition for it's age(cica 1920-30) and is made with very fine quality! Today we have a nice and very old antique mirror in a carved wood frame. The mirror measures 10.5 by 19.25 inches. This includes the frame. The mirror has a lined border that must have been etched in from the back as you cannot feel the indentions. There is some finish loss to the mirror up in one corner a few other very small dots elsewhere. This gives it such a true shabby cottage type look. The frame is carved and has a top piece and a bottom piece that are a part of the complete frame. Not nailed in place like many other antique mirrors. This means that they won't be falling off. The frame does have some nicks and finish loss as is expected with a piece this old. This still has it's original backing though it does show some water damage. Vintage Gesso-Framed Mirror This beautiful mirror has a painted. Molded gesso(plaster) frame applied to wood. The sticker on the back says"A Treasure Art Product, copyright JACO” I believe that this mirror was manufactured in the 1950’s or 60’s. The mirror is in good shape except for 2 tiny black spots. Circled in red in one of the photos. The frame is 30" by 20" and has 3 hairline cracks, indicated by red arrows, but otherwise is in good shape. It feels very solid and weighs approximately 11 lbs.
