Vintage Antique Carved Wood Frame Beveled Glass Oval Mirror Pre-Mid Century
This is a beautiful mirror. You are bidding on an antique oval mirror. This has an oak wooden frame with a top crest of hand carved floral. I believe this is early 20th century. The mirror has a 1" bevel completely around the oval. The back is sealed with a 1/4" piece of wood not plywood. The last picture shows one of the dovetail joints in the frame. This frame was made from four separate pieces of oak which were joined together at those dovetails to make the complete frame. I think this is another sign of the age of this mirror. It has two holes through the front of the frame which were probably used for mounting. It also has one eyelet on the back which was also used for mounting. The second eyelet is gone. The winning bidder will have to develop their own mounting. The complete mirror and frame is 18-3/4" tall and 26" ... morewide. The mirror is 23" by 13-1/2" This is one of the classiest mirrors I have ever had for sale. Please don't email to ask if we would consider selling if for less. My wife really hates to part with it. Antique Vintage Shabby Oval Beveled Mirror With Ornate Metal Frame
This auction is for an antique vintage oval beveled mirror with an ornate metal frame. The frame measures 12" tall and 9" wide. The mirror is 7-1/2 x 5-1/2. The frame has a light misting of rust on it but all of the decoration is intact. The back of the frame holding the mirror in place appears to be brass. It shows surface scratching. Has a dent in the center, and shows some rust, especially at the top. There are four bars which screw into the frame which hold the mirror/backing in place. There are two loops molded into the frame to hold the wire for hanging. The mirror is hazy around the edges and has marks on the surface, the largest which is shown in the last photo. The mirror is beautiful alone or hanging with a collection of antique mirrors.

this is an exquisite antique handmade carved oval wooden Art Deco pivoting picture frame. it can also be used as a mirror if desired. it is very ornately cut and done by hand. The frame measures approximately 11" x 13" The mirror measures 9 1/2" x 7 1/2" It has a wire on the back for hanging. The back of the mirror is wood with old heavy cardboard filling in the mirror back and held by tiny nails. The frame is in good condition but is old and has a small portion of damage on the design on the center top. There is a tiny tight crack in the outer wood of the frame ... moreon the right top. Antique Oval Small Mirror Frame Bronze Brass? Very Heavy, Ornate, Foundry Mark
This is a very old and very heavy frame. Probably made in the late Victorian era at the end of the 19th century, or the very early 20th century. It is marked on the back 217 and in another place it looks like NB+NY- not sure about this mark, the second part is hard read. Might be NV or even IW. I believe it is bronze or brass. I have seen this frame in a larger version many times in cast iron, and those are heavy, but this one is REALLY heavy. You may have seen frames like this that are usually a foot tall or more. This is a little guy. Only 9" tall and 8" across. The frame has been fitted with a mirror which is newer. There are 3 little tabs that more easily on the back. And you could replace the mirror with glass and use it as a picture frame if you wanted. I think this frame probably had an easel-back at one time so that you ... morecould use it on a table. That has not survived the last 125 years or so. This is suitable for hanging with 2 small screws that would hold each curved piece at the top. This is great for any place you want to add a little reflection, especially nice in a grouping of mirrors. This old large oval mirror came from an auction in Vermont. The auctioneer called it"period. The mirror has a wooden frame with a berry design. The frame measures 21 3/4 by 25 3/4 inches. The mirror from the back measures 16 by 20 1/4 inches. The mirror has spots under the glass. See the 4th picture. The frame has some cracks in the first border, some chips, and some use/wear marks. It weights about 7 pounds.

Measurers 14 1/8 inches by 12 1/8 inches and the frame is a pp. 2 3/8 inches wide and 1 1/4 inches at the thickest. Beaded with 4 nice decorative pieces all look to be wood. No plaster. Looks to be pretty old from the 1800`s. Looks to have the Original greenish paint/ whitewash finish. But I cannot be sure. Has some chips and cracks in places. see pictures) still very solid. Mirror is intact with no breaks or cracks. Found in an old farmhouse in Maine. It is in need of a cleaning but has great Patina in its present condition. Vintage gilded Italian Florentine frame in a large oval shape with carved border within a pierced and carved scrolling foliate frame. The frame looks like it was made to hold a mirror but we are selling it in its as found condition without a mirror. It can also hold a painting if this is how the new owner would like to use it. The way it was hanging originally is with the larger side in a horizontal position like seen in our first picture. This could change however. If one wishes to hang it vertically. AWESOME ANTIQUE MIRROR-LONG OVAL WITH GOLD PAINTED WOOD CARVED FANCY SCALLOPED AND ETCHED DESIGN. I love this piece. And bought this 5 years ago at an antique shop in Waupaca. I removed all the old tape and rusty nails along with the old cardboard they used to use. Fortunately, this mirror has, as you an see, no flaws on the back it is perfect, not scratches or missing areas. The front reflects this perfection. I noticed a smuge or two that I did not yet remove, I can re do the photos along the way, but I wanted to list asap. This is about 2 1/2 feet long and 18 inches wide this is a guess and I will measure and edit this ad. All is origonal, the paint as well, I did not re touch any part of that frame. This is all original from glass to back, I simply replaced the old materials on the back with modern archival backing, framers points and ... moreacid free tape. I have not yet put the new wire on, I will do this tomorrow. I have 75 lb. test wire, this is heavy but I will weigh this and edit the ad along the way. The scalloped edges around the mirror are awesome as well as the etched design. The wood is perfectly in tack and well carved. you can see the way the art. Isan made this with curved pieces of wood on the back. This mirror is very well made and sturdy. no defects found. Bonded all together very tightly nothing is loose or flimsey. Heavy wood was used and the paint is perfect. I garentee this item is as described and seen only better than my photos could pic up. I have a small reserve. You can get a good deal here.
