This pair of intricately carved Italian mirrors are so breathtaking. They will quickly become one of your most cherished possessions. Each Mirror measures 22 x 47inches and is excellent condition. The mirrors themselves measure 13.75 x 24 and are in perfect condition. The gilding is a lovely muted gold that shows some places where a bit of red shows through. These frames are an early 20th century reproduction of the George III style which features elaborate scrollwork with pierced woodworking. They are marked on the back Made in Italy. The gilding is near perfect and the overall condition is excellent. One small spot of roughness to the gilding on one corner(see photos) Does not detract at all. The backside is the great traditional florentine paper that you see on most of these small mirrors. The hanging loop is missing but it would be very easy to add a wire and hang either direction. Stunning mirror that is authentic this is not a reproduction. This is carved wood and has the most beautiful leaded glass decorations to the corners. The mirror is incredible and is perfect fit over a fireplace as pictured or over a buffet cabinet! 18 inch high 52 inch long! Louis XIII style with fine floral. Scroll and dot etchings on panels and cartouches surrounding a rectangular glass mirror. The mirror's many facets catch the light and reflect various parts of the objects in the room in a very exciting and cheerful manner. ANTIQUE TRUMEAU FRENCH MIRROR~1800's~PTD CARVED GILT~ROMANTIC OIL PTG~BIG BEAUTY I am happy to offer a true authentic old French Trumeau mirror with its original finish. NO repro. This elegant style has been reproduced by the repro artists due to its exceptional traditional flair.but this one is old. First of all the color. The picture of the whole mirror came up more vanilla. Due to the flash. This was a tough one to photo. The true color of the background is a more neutral, old aged soft antique white. The front pictures of the mirror showing the gilt carving, are the true colors. The mirror came fresh from an estate in Manhatten and is even a bit dusty.right off the wall on the east side. The mirror is 59 3/8 inches high. And 38 1/2 inches wide and the depth is approximately 2 1/2 inches thick. The frame is good and solid, the mirror ... moredoes not wobble and is structurally sound. The oil painting is lovely and it could use a good cleaning and it would sparkle, however; I leave just as is for the purists, and leave it up to them. To each their own. The gilt on the carved filagree and scrolls are in excellent condition, intact, with no repairs. Like I say.from an estate and was kept for many years. The age of the mirror is somewhere between 1820 and 1860. This of course, is my best guess upon examing the mirror and knowing where it came from. If you are an antique lover of French, you will come up with the same conclusion, just by seeing the back pictures. Infact, they come up lighter than they are, due to the bright sunlight in my room. Impressive and heavy antique French gilded wall mirror. With wooden frame and applied gilt gesso, totally original, from a bourgeoise maison in Bordeaux. The outer edge is a lovely array of curled acanthus leaves with open wood work. The inner edge around glass is a lovely garland of small roses and flowers. There are some cracks and minor loss of gesso. All commensurate with age, adding to the vintage charm and authenticity. Antique Italian carved and gesso baroque style gilt framed mirror
This gorgeous antique Italian mirror was made in Parma. Italy. It has a unique upside down tear drop shape with rich carvings and great gilt. The patina is so great it looks like it is made of gold(sorry, it is not) It dates to the early 1900's, but has a mirror of a later date. The frame is wood and gesso with large C scrolls and garlands. Both the frame and mirror are in very good condition with only very small signs of wear.
