Antique Victorian Tilting Vanity Mirror, Ornate Floral Metal Frame
This is a gorgeous old Victorian tilting mirror in a larger size. 19” tall, 12” wide. The frame on this is all flowers and Acanthus leaves with a large ornate foot. The metal has an aged patina and the back has an old time worn and stained cover. There are no chips or cracks to the mirror but it is starting to freckle and shows age. This displays beautifully and would be an asset to any Victorian room. The items that I sell are the items I love. Memories, antique and vintage, they are old and as with all vintage pieces are to be considered used and therefore possibly showing wear for the age. It's a really old triptysh used for shaving. Everything is original on this metal framed folding mirror, including a rare handle built on and very well fix ed. On the back of each mirror there's a lincrusta paper who look like leather. It's an art nouveau decoration with an embossed Lincrusta floral motif. However there's a color variation on each of the embossed coverings. Antique Vintage Shabby Oval Beveled Mirror With Ornate Metal Frame
This auction is for an antique vintage oval beveled mirror with an ornate metal frame. The frame measures 12" tall and 9" wide. The mirror is 7-1/2 x 5-1/2. The frame has a light misting of rust on it but all of the decoration is intact. The back of the frame holding the mirror in place appears to be brass. It shows surface scratching. Has a dent in the center, and shows some rust, especially at the top. There are four bars which screw into the frame which hold the mirror/backing in place. There are two loops molded into the frame to hold the wire for hanging. The mirror is hazy around the edges and has marks on the surface, the largest which is shown in the last photo. The mirror is beautiful alone or hanging with a collection of antique mirrors.

This is an antique/vintage Victorian plateau mirror. The mirror itself is beveled. The bevel is narrow. Just meeting the edge of the decorative scalloped metal trim that surrounds the mirror. This piece measures 14" in diameter and 1.5" in height. It stands on 4 delicately embellished metal feet. The feet and broader scrolled top section each measure 1" in height and 2.5" in width at the top(picture 5) The scalloped trim surrounding the mirror measures.5" in width with an additional.25" wide plain metal banding beneath the scalloped trim. The plain metal banding completely surrounds the mirror as well. All of the trim is complete and in great condition. I think there may be several metals used in the piece, and I don't know with any certainty what they are. The scalloped trim and plain banding are gold, and ... morethe feet are silver(in color, at least) The backing is all original and in tact(pictures 7& 8) The only damage to the piece is in the mirror itself. There are some small surface scratches. There is a good bit of haziness in the glass, and some areas where the silvering has worn thin. Still just a fabulous mirror. There are so many uses for these. This brush and mirror set was purchased in Thailand in 1963 and has not been used but only displayed on a dresser. It has not been touched with any cleaner but kept exactly as it was when purchased. No cracks. Breaks or scratches. The mirror is approximately 13-1/2" long and the brush is approximately 10" long. They are both fairly heavy metal and beautiful in detail. The double-bevel mirror is framed by intricate metal leaf and curved designs. And has a round easy-to-hold handle. The mirror is clear, although the photo picked up surrounding browns. The mirror is tin backed. It has imperfections in the upper right near the frame. At the top back of the frame is the distinctive B& H embossed mark, assuring quality. The dark metal is in excellent condition; the gilt is worn, especially on the handle. There is a raised 1995 on the back, which I believe is the item number. This wonderful table or vanity mirror was used on my grandmother's front counter in her antique and jewelry store for many years. The note on the back says"Not for sale for trying on Jewelry only" I will keep that note when this mirror sells. She had two similar ones so I am keeping the other one. This one did break and it is in pieces. Part of her right arm is missing. The finish is flaking off of the base cast iron metal. The height with the base is 17 1/2" The mirror is 5 1/2 by 7 1/2" and the figure is 8" The base has also split and does need repair. I think this is a fantastic example of a classic Art Nouveau piece with the flowing gown and her overstretched arms holding the mirror. This auction is for a great old metal mirror. The frame is all metal. I am unsure of the age of this mirror. The metal work is very nice. The mirror measures 13 by 23 inches and the total piece is 17 by 34 inches. The mirror is quite heavy which leads me to believe it is old or very well made reproduction. It is in great shape. The mirror is perfect rectangle. I had to take the pictures angled due to the reflection. This is a nice sturdy heavy mirror. I would recommend a wall anchor when mounting on a wall.

Cast iron frame FLOATING mirror beveled edge vtg wall antique metal mercury hang
This piece has a cast iron or wrought iron frame that would hang on the wall and the beveled edge mirror fits within the frame. The mirror would rather“float” between the iron frame. It has two decorative hinge type connectors that would secure the mirror. I am not a very“handy” type person and I cannot get the mirror inside this frame. It seems too wide. But I know that is just because I do not know how to secure it. This mirror definitely goes with this frame, so it has to fit. I know a“handy” type person could get it secured. If you are"unhandy. like me, you get 2 cool separate pieces! The frame is a cast iron or wrought iron black metal piece in very good condition– no rust– very good condition. The metal has a twisted ribbon like look. I have yet to find any maker’s mark on this piece. But it could be that I do not know where to ... morelook. Due to the design– a maker’s mark could be hidden. The mirror has a thick rough or scalloped type beveled edge. I was going to say no chips. But on closer I think there may possibly be a chip in one of the scallops. Rather hard to tell due to the decorative cut at the edges of the mirror. Also. As you can see, the silver or mercury backing has worn off in several places. It is an old piece. Exact age unknown– I do not know if this is an older vintage piece– I assume collectors can tell by the mirror cut and the frame style- Size: The metal frame measures approx 12 3/4ths inches in length. The center cut-out measures approx 6 1/4 by 4 1/8th inches. The mirror measures approx 5 3/4ths by 3 5/8ths inches. It is approx 1/4 inch thick at the edges. Condition: The cast iron frame still looks very good. As you can see. The back of the mirror shows much wear. As stated above, the mirror has a thick rough beveled edge and it is difficult to tell, but there may be a chip on one of the scalloped edges. Rather hard to tell due to the decorative cut at the edges of the mirror. Well packaged. This rather unique old vintage or antique primitive mirror will weigh over 1 pound, but
