This beautiful antique hanging hat rack and mirror is from the late 1800s. It has so much going for it I am not sure where to start. There are 6 brass hat racks that are very ornate. The mirror is beveled and in very good condition(some very slight wear on the right side that could be re-silvered) I believe the wood is mahogany. The inserts are velvet. The side and bottom edge of the piece has a nice carved design. The hooks are really cool(see scan) The shelf is approx. 4 1/4" deep. It could easily hold some knick knacks. Beautiful late 1800s British Victorian mahogany dresser top vanity mirror. Made of mahogany veneers. Solid mahogany and pine secondary woods. The piece has two pull-out drawers and a center storage area with lid. Overall measurement is 25 1/4" wide x 31 1/2" tall x 12 3/4" deep. Finish is in very good condition. Brought back from England in the early 1970s. Weight is 23 lbs. MIRROR: Swivels on two brass hinges which can be opened to remove mirror. Mirror can be accessed by removing wood panel on back. Which is held in place by simple brass turn latches. This unusual horseshoe shaped mirror is intended for dresser or table use. It has two 3/4" brass ball feet and a hinged prop-arm stand to hold it upright. It has a 1 3/4" wide frame. I'm not sure of the wood. But it's tight-grained with the original finish& appears to be possibly cherry or mahogany. This mirror stands 12 1/4" tall and is 10 1/2" in width at its widest point. The frame is approximately 3/4" in thickness. The mirror has a 1" bevelled edge and its area measured to the frame rabbet is 7" W. x 8 1/2"H. The prop is 8" L& 1 1/2 W. The mirror shows some small areas of silver loss and the frame has some minor finish damage at the edges. But over-all, it is in very good antique condition. Here is an interesting excellent condition vintage mirror(thick glass) made from an antique hat form from around the mid 1800s which looks to be solid oak. The mirror glass is electro copper plated by Toledo plate company. The mirror is excellent and thick glass. The mirror could easily be removed to serve the purpose for use as forming your hats. The old markings say 6 3/4(hat size) and 915. There is a makers mark I cannot read but is something like"bramo" The hat form is over 11 inches long ways and 10 inches short way. It is 3 inches high. This is a very rare mis 19th century antique silver-plated vanity fob set including a compact box. A vanity mirror, and a trinket box. it is a very ornate set with extremely intricate detailing and nice patina from age. All pieces are connected to beautiful circle linked chains which all connect to a silver-plated ring. The vanity mirror slides open to expose the hidden beveled mirror inside and shuts closed. the face cover of the mirror is of very ornate flowers and a detailed dragon wrapping the edge, they are done in very high relief. the compact box is in the shape of a shell and beautifully ribbed. The box opens and closes on a hinge and snaps tightly. inside is a beautiful silk. And feather applier with a carved ox bone circular handle, inside the lid is also a vanity mirror. the box is equally as detailed and in the shape of a mail ... morebag, it also opens and closes on a hinge and snaps tightly. This is a stunning 19th century antique solid bronze Victorian wall mirror candle holder sconce. It is made from thick/ solid bronze and is extremely heavy with a wonderful patina from age. it is a very high quality piece doubling as a mirror and has two arms in the front which hold two candles as well. the arms are connected to a very ornate stylized female face which is very dimensional and sits off of the mirror. the candle holders. It measures 14 x 16 1/2 ins. is marked with the initials JB& IW and the model number 2002 at the back top. The mirror is in good vintage condition, no breaks, missing only one holding screw on the mirror, and has some mild age darkening marks in the bottom left side of mirror. Antique 1800s Dresser Oval Beveled Mirror with wood harp 24x30 heavy oak wood
Offered from my mother's estate is an Antique 1800s Oval Beveled Mirror with wood harp 24x30 heavy oak wood. This was once on top of a dresser that my great grandmother had from the latter 1800s. I believe it is solid heavy oak wood. But it could be mahogany. Looking at the harp which I call the long bottom piece with the broken foot, the wood is dark color all the way through. That may be due to aging. The Mirror is in wonderful condition also very heavy. The piece that broke from the foot included. No hardware other than shown. This is an excellent example of A Victorian Rosewood gingerbread cut out inlaid ladies foldout mirror. The Mira dates to about the 1870s. The glass is original and beveled and quite clear. The overall condition of the pieces good with some small breaks here and there and some tiny minor losses to the edges all consistent with the age of the piece. The pieces made of Rosewood and it is quite heavy. The entire edge of the mirror on the inside is inlaid with little tiny micro pieces of colored wood. This is a very nice quality antique solid gold gilded bronze Bradley and Hubbard Bacchus figural wall mirror. it is made from very thick bronze. Has a lovely gold gilded finish, and has acquired a lovely patina from age. it is extremely ornate and has a wonderful cut out floral/scroll design. it is nicely footed with a detailed hanging hook in-between them. the top has a very large dimensional portrait depiction of Bacchus. the original mirror has a great beveled edge and has a nice shape. it is signed on the back B&H and is numbered. in nice antique condition measuring 15 inches tall by 10 inches wide. very nice quality Victorian mirror. This is a stunning antique 19th century gold gilded cast iron ornate Victorian wall mirror. it has a beautiful bronzed patina from age and made from very thick heavy iron. it is done with an abundance of very intricate detailing done in high relief. the top depicts a dimensional cherub with hand wrapping a large scroll. the feet are very detailed griffins/dragons with large wings and sharp clawed feet. it is in very nice antique condition and has a hanging wire on the back. measures 11 3/4 inches by 8 3/4 inches. antique 1800s Victorian orante solid bronze footed griffin figural mirror frame
This is an extremely high quality antique 19th century solid bronze Victorian figural table mirror. it is extremely ornate with an abundance of intricate detailing. Very dimensional, and done in high relief. It ranks up there with Tiffany quality. it is beautifully footed with two outward facing griffin/dragons. they are very dimensional and extremely detailed with a great textured finish. the top part of the frame has a 3 dimensional face surrounded by an architectural piece and a stylized center piece filled with fruit. there rest of the frame has very ornate cut out detailing with nice texture and a beautiful patina from age. there is an equally as ornate bronze arm in the back that pivots back and forth on a hinge on the top and sits the mirror upward. the mirror in the center of the bronze frame has a nice beveled edge and is in good ... moreshape. it has a small crop in the rear side of the mirror. This Antique Magnificent Table Top Vanity Mirror dated back around the 1860s I purchased this vanity mirror about 20 years ago at a high end antique show in Connecticut. I believe it is made from Iron or bronze. There is still small amounts of red paint overall on the vanity mirror. The back has original writing on the cardboard backing“ This Belonged to Eliza A. Sanderson Born 1827. And on the bottom it’s written 1867” The entire mirror is in original condition with a beautiful patina. This Stunning Porcelain and Bronze Hand Mirror. Features a wonderful portrait of the La Grande Mademoiselle Anne Marie Louise d'Orleans the Duchess of Montpensier(May 29.1627- April 5,1693) She is considered to be one of the Greatest and Wealthiest Heiress in France's History and she was the Grand daughter of King Henry the IV. The front of this mirror is made of porcelain and is beautifully hand painted with a dark Limoges cobalt blue border surrounding the white background of her portrait(see pic#3)On the Back is a wonderful hand beveled mirror. The elegant Art Nouveau frame is bronze with gold gilt accents. It has a beautiful wreath pattern around the outside ... moreand a naturalistic scrolling design of leaves. Berries, and Flower petals on the unique double loop finger hole handle. This antique Mirror dates from around the late 1800's to the early 1900's. The Victorian Era. It is approx. 5 1/4 inches wide by 7 1/4 inches long including the handle. It is very heavy weighting about 11.6 oz. She has been lovingly used for over 100 years. So it does show signs of wear and age which is to be expected(see pics) The handle and frame are in superb condition. You can see that the porcelain was adorned with gold gilt scroll accents. That have been almost washed away with time, but must have been magnificent when it was new. Rare Antique Horn Mirror, steer?, 1800s Victorian Western, beveled
This is an amazing Victorian Horn Mirror. 38 inches from point to point. It is beveled. There is a small bit of trim loss on the corners that i have shown. We have had this mirror for 30 years and preferred not to touch it but it would not be difficult. We will list in only once and if it does not sell, will enjoy it for another 30. It should be picked up south of Richmond or you may arrange for shipping. I believe the beautiful wood grain is faux but I cannot tell. It is certainly unusual. Rare for sure.
