Victorian era Gesso/gold gilt mirror EXCELLENT
This is a fine antique Victorian era mirror in gold gilted Gesso. As you can see in the pictures most of the gesso work is near perfect for its age, in the last 2 pictures it may some aging(minor fissures) but nothing that is really noticable. The mirror came from the same estate as the table its on(not for sale) and the piece is an excellent example of that era, mirror has no flaking or crazing of any kind, I CANNOT include freeshipping on this item because it must be packed well and carefully so no damage occurs, must be insured as well, dimensions are 28" 1/2 inches wide x 20" 1/2 inches high measured by mirror, a little higher if on center because of ornate top, so add about another 4" inches if you are interested in on center. This is a vintage wall mirror. The frame is ornate gold Gesso carved wood. Glass is fairly typical for a vintage mirror(though clearer than average) Upper right corner of frame has a small piece missing(photo#6) That seems to be the only spot where some material is missing. There are cracks throughout the surface of the frame adding to its character. Though it hasn't affected the structural integrity. It feels very solid. This is a large antique oval gold ornate mirror. The frame is made of wood with carved gesso flowers and bows on the edges. I would gu ess it dates f rom 1910- 1940. It measures 16 1/4" x 22 3/4" It has a pretty art nouveau design. There is a sturdy w ire on the back for hanging. The frame might have been repainted at some time. I can't say for sure. Welcome to Papa& Nana Treasures* Vintage/ Antique gold gilt frame with etched mirror and a half circle at the top. This is a stunning mirror with a urn. Flower pot at the top and also etched in the mirror. The top of this frame is the urn and it has been repaired. When we purchased this my husband couldn't believe the bad attempt to repair it so my husband took it apart and repaired it the right way. So from the front it's hard to tell it was ever broken off. This is about 37 1/2" tall and 19 1/2" wide(22" at the widest point) but the actual inside measurement would be 27 1/2" x 17 1/2" Both measurments are from the top of the arch to the bottom. Up for bids is this wonderful antique Victorian Pier Mirror or Hall Mirror. I believe it's from the Renaissance Period 1870s to 1890s. Very large size and heavy. Measures approximately 80" tall and 24" wide. At the widest point at the top crown. The side frame depth measures 2-3/4" but the top stands out approx. 8" It has inlay Burl wood and loads of Gold Gilt to the scroll work. The walnut finish is totally even in color. Some of the pics show it lighter towards the bottom. This is due to a spotlight shining on it so I could take descent photos of it. The backside has the wooden planks covering the mirror. I do not know if the mirror is original, it's in excellent condition. The marble base is missing. It measures 31" x 25" The inside part where the mirror or picture goes measures 25" x 19" It has some gesso missing on the inside corners and along some of the edges. It has discoloration due to age. This mirror is worthy to be hung in the finest homes! It measures 30" across at widest points by 25" top of finial to bottom. Glass is perfect and great beveled edge. There are 2 tiny pieces missing. This large wall mirror came from an auction in Vermont. The auctioneer called it"period. The frame measures 41 3/4" high and 19 1/2" wide. The mirror has some spots under the glass. Antique Victorian Gold Gilt Wood Gesso Framed 3 Section Etched Wall Mirror
This is a stunning Victorian wall mirror with an elegant gold gilt wooden frame with gesso accents that is separates the mirror into three sections. There is a beautiful floral and stripe border etched into the back of the glass on each end. The mirror is in good condition overall with a few small spots of missing silver and faint cloudiness in a few areas. But mages look crystal clear throughout. There are some shallow scratches and scuffs on the far right mirror section that is slightly visible in the photo of that section. The frame is excellent with no missing gesso. The gold finish looks very good with only a few touch ups that were done in matching paint and are not obvious. There are a few tiny chips of paint missing, but they are not noticeable unless closely inspected. This is a long mirror, measuring 54" L x 18" H. There ... moreis a wire on the back for hanging, but it is a little bit long and is visible when the mirror is hung. The paper backing is no longer intact, but the cardboard panel is there and there are small square nails all the way around holding the cardboard and glass in place. I have wedged some extra cardboard pieces behind some of the nails that were touching the glass, and I will make sure to fill in any loose spots or exposed glass on the back with extra cardboard before shipping. I will place pillows over the top, wrap it well, double box it, and insure it during shipping.

For sale is this tall Victorian Era wood and gesso gold mirror. It originally had a yellowing picture of Napoleon in the top under the glass. I replaced this with a mod 1960's fashion shot. This vintage piece comes from sometime in the early 1900's as do all of the pieces I am selling. The mirror is striking, beautiful, and magnificent when you first see it, just as you saw it for the first time here. It both commands you and invites you to look at it. The corners of the mirror come with Victorian Woodland Finials while the top of the piece features an elegant but not gaudy wood carving. The dimensions of this piece are as follows: 48" tall x 25" wide. DESCRIPTION Antique Victorian Gothic Revival Tabletop Mirror. This is a charming mirror which I believe may have been assembled from parts of another piece of furniture. Perhaps a child's dresser. It has been painted ivory with gold trim(I think the wood is probably walnut) DIMENSIONS The mirror measures 17 3/4" tall. 10 3/4" wide and 5 1/2" deep(the length of the legs) CONDITION The mirror is in good condition. There is a separation in the wood at bottom center(probably from age and drying) I imagine the glass is a replacement because it is in good condition for the age of the frame. Antique Victorian Shaving Mirror Comb Holder Shelf Gold Shelf Wall Pocket 1880
This auction is for an antique shaving mirror with comb& brush holder. It is classic Victorian style with great leaves and fruit pattern on the frame. The mirror might have been replaced at one time. But the rest appears old original. It measures 22 inches high and about 19 inches wide. It is in good and sturdy antique condition. The velvet is worn in spots as expected with a piece this age. Inside the comb holder, the fabric is faded. These old fancy over mantle mirrors are getting hard to come by and this one is positively beautiful! This fine 19th century mirror features its original mirror which measures 43 1/4 inches high by 47 1/4 inches wide and does show some all over silver dusting as age appropriate but doesn't warrant replacing by no means. This mirror also offers its old original wood plank backing. There are some areas of gesso loss which I have tried to show in the pictures; nothing that takes away from the regal presence this mirror offers in my opinion. ANTIQUE OLD VICTORIAN FRENCH TWIST GOLD LEAF GILTWOOD FRAME MANTEL MIRROR 41"
This offering is for a beautiful and OLD. Victorian/Arts& Crafts large wall or mantel mirror. This gorgeous mirror features a substantial(chunky, if you will) solid wood frame made of turned wood with a center section of French or Barley twist accent. Trimmed similarly to an old window or door, the frame has four large corner blocks with an Arts and Crafts styled floral bouquet/basket appliques. The spool wood is hand fitted into the back wood frame which is also thick and substantial. The frame has been gilded and the color is now a beautiful, aged gold or bronzed color. The mirror is in very good condition for its age(early 1900s) There is some expected wear/aging to the patina of the wood. There are some minor scratches and chips but these are not distracting and actually compliment the character of the piece. There appears to have ... morebeen one minor repair to the frame where it meets the mirror. It appears as a piece was cracked and has been glued to secure it(see picture 11) It is holding quite well with no issues. The back is faced with paper. The old hangers have been removed with a center hanger attached. I think the mirror is too heavy for a single hanger so you may want to add an additional hanger. The mirror is meant to hang horizontally as the corner floral baskets dictate this(otherwise, they will hang side ways) The mirrored glass is in good condition with no chips, cracks or loss of back coating. The mirror is large and measures 41" wide and 21" tall. It extends 2.75" from the wall. The mirror glass is 33.5" x 13.75" The mirror is heavy and weighs approximately 25-30 lbs.
