The quilted‘bumps’ alternate between rose gold washed and polished sterling. Inside the compact is marked“STERLING. EVANS” and PAT. 2212449. The mirror bears its original“STERLING” sticker. The compact is not monogrammed and is in fairly good estate condition. The compact includes mirror. Screen& powder puff which appear to be original, although I am not an expert, and I am not certain. There is some wear to the rose gold wash. In addition. The compact has clearly been used and enjoyed. The powder puff needs replacement. Although the powder screen is in good condition. There is some cloudy discoloration to the edges of the mirror. The compact’s price reflects its condition. This is a vintage or antique gold gilt mirror. Recently purchased at an estate sale. I am unsure of it's age. A sticker on the back reads Made In Italy. The mirror frame is light weight and I believe it is some sort of plastic. In very good, used and vintage condition, it measures 12" X 7 1/8" The back is lined with velvet and there is a hook at the top for hanging. Mirror was originally a table mirror. See stand mark on backside. Also. See two round holes on edge which may have been part of the original stand, or perhaps used to hang the mirror. Mirror was recently used as a hanging mirror. See the wires on the backside. I believe that the mirror is from the 1920's. Mirror has nice gold dental print- some gold finish shows wear. It also has a lovely gold rope twist design next to the mirror which reflects nicely on the mirror. Wood part of frame has some minor imperfections. Mirror has some distortions with age. My grandma has passed away and this was her mirror. It is gold colored. However it is tarnished just a bit. It might be another metal, I do not know. It is approximately 16-18 inches long and approximately 8 inches at the widest. It is in very good shape. The felt on the back is in pristine condition. I have not attempted to clean it after watching too much Antiques Roadshow. I do not know much information about it. I can send additional photos, but have included the front, back and side photos. There is detailing around the edge of the mirror and along the perimeter. I can not find a makers mark, but did not look very hard for one. The mark did not stand out to my untrained eyes. This fine 19th century mirror features its original mirror which measures 43 1/4 inches high by 47 1/4 inches wide and does show some all over silver dusting as age appropriate but doesn't warrant replacing by no means. This mirror also offers its old original wood plank backing.
