Antique Glass Syrup Pitcher, Tin top Pat. July 15, 1884. cast in top
Listed is an antique glass syrup pitcher. It is in very nice condition. There are no chips or cracks in the glass part. The handle is perfect as is the rest of the glass body. The top looks to be made of tin and it is spring loaded to keep it closed. The hinge still works fine. However, the spring that holds the top closed has come loose from the top and I don't want to try and reattach it, as I don't want to damage the top. The top has one small dent in it which I'm sure you can see in the pics. It is pretty minor. The inside of the top has a Patent date cast in it as you can see in a few of the pics. It reads: PAT. JUL 15. 84. The pitcher is 8" tall. 4 1/2" from front to back of handle and almost 3 1/2" wide at the base. This pitcher is in wonderful condition for it's age. Please feel free to ask questions.

It is very clean and I am pretty sure this has not been used. It was given as a gift to a relative of mine back in the early 1970's. I ship within the United States only. Antique Victorian Blue Opalescent Optic Swirl Glass Syrup Pitcher A wonderful glass pitcher featuring a blue opalescent swirl pattern with the original metal spring top lid. The clear blue glass handle is applied. The top/ lid is engraved with the latter 1880's Pat. date(see pic. 6) I don't believe the lid was made to come off, I have not removed it or really even tried being it fits so securely& tight. Measures about 6.5" to the top of the lid. In very nice condition showing the normal age wear. No chips, cracks or repairs. Noticed a couple of straw lines(felt the grooves) under the applied handle, is common in the older glass. ANTIQUE EAPG U. S. GLASS CO. PORTLAND MOLASSES CAN SYRUP PITCHER
ANTIQUE EAPG U. S. GLASS CO. PORTLAND MOLASSES CAN SYRUP PITCHER Description: This pitcher is from an Estate. The pitcher is very heavy. It has a slight wobble when placed on a completely flat surface. We believe this is due to the firing and cooling process in the manufacturing of this pitcher. There are some fine scratches and bubbles in the glass. The lid works well and has some wear to the finish of the lid. The inside of the neck opening to the pitcher is somewhat rough. We are not sure if that is normal for this EAPG. There is a slight residue in the bottom of the pitcher. We believe this is the 16 oz. size. Beautiful Antique Cut Glass & Silverplate Syrup Pitcher with Applied handle
Beautiful antique cut glass and silver plated syrup pitcher. Applied handle. Nice deep cuts and etchings make this a beautiful piece and the silver plated top just sets this piece off! From an estate auction it appears the previous owner applied some sort of tape around the interior of the lid. Since the lid does not screw on I believe she added the tape to secure the fit for the lid. No chips can be felt or seen and certainly no cracks. Please inspect all pics carefully! Thanks so much for looking and happy bidding:
