With one small chip to the bottom rim, and roughness and discoloration to the hand ground neck(which appears to have had a cork or fabric strip surrounding the outside) This strip would have held the lid tightly. And it is currently ever so slightly loose. The domed lid is unadorned but for the monogram. And has two small dimples to the top. Note the triple cut handle. The sterling silver was made by J.F. Fradley of New York City. Please excuse the reflections in the pictures. SIZE: The pitcher is approximately 11.5 inches tall. It weighs 3 pounds 8 ounces. CONDITION: There are a few tiny flea bites on some of the raised sharp edges of the cuts. There are some wear scratches on the bottom. The glass is mostly clear except for some faint water marks on the inside. That I have not tried to clean off. A very rare and extremely detailed crystal cut EAPG pitcher that features frosted etched butterflies. It is just stunning to look at and is in absolutely excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Both the handle and the rim feature"thumbprint" notching that enhances the light reflection. The body of the pitcher itself has the two frosted. Intricate patterned butterflies as well as many leaves with two deep cut halves formed into one leaf each. Gorgeous Antique Cut Glass Pitcher & Tumblers ~ Silver Overlay ~ Hand Painted
For your consideration is this gorgeous antique glass pitcher with six tumblers. This has a beautiful vertical cut pattern with silver overlay. The top of the piece has a wonderful hand painted rose pattern. Pitcher measures 5 3/8" high x 7" at the widest point. Not including the handle, tumblers 4 3/8" high x 2 3/8" top diam. I have inspected this and I see a total of three pin dot flakes the largest pictured for you on the handle and one 1/4" thin scratch on the inside of the pitcher. These two cut glass frames are coming out of my grandmother's garage and were owned by her Father. So I know them to be at least 100 years old. Based on the notes from my grandma, which you can see in the pictures, I believe that these used to sit on a desk and hold pictures. However I AM NOT a glass collector. Beautiful antique cut glass and silver plated syrup pitcher. Applied handle. Nice deep cuts and etchings make this a beautiful piece and the silver plated top just sets this piece off! From an estate auction it appears the previous owner applied some sort of tape around the interior of the lid. Since the lid does not screw on I believe she added the tape to secure the fit for the lid. No chips can be felt or seen and certainly no cracks. Please inspect all pics carefully! Cut Glass Antique Stemware Pitcher
Oh my gosh! This old pitcher is absolutely stunning. I have described above under condition it's two biggest scratches(at first I thought they were cracks) and the other couple of marks on it. That aside. It is so amazing! It appears to be really old. It is 6 1/2" tall and 6" from spout to end of handle. I am not familiar with the design coming up each side and the front and back. The frosted look it applied and is almost a cobweb type style. I can just envision this on a King's table way back when! Description: Beautiful large antique paneled cut amber glass pitcher. Quite h eavy and well made. Measures 6 3/4" high x 4 7/8" wide at base(7 1/8" wide at handle) Tiny fleabite on the bottom corner of one of the panels noticeable on close inspection(see pic#8 for close-up) 19th century. Most of my items are vintage or antique and may have normal wear commensurate with age. Use and materials. I will mention any damage or flaws I see. This is a stunning wine pitcher or decanter. I have not be able to find a signature. This has lovely corn cobs etched on it. It is 7 1/2 inches tall. The bottom and handle are cut glass. There is a minor bit of cloudiness inside. This has no stopper.
