Exquisite Hand Blown Victorian Lemonade Pitcher with two glasses circa 1890. Hand painted frosted satin glass pitcher with ruffled edge top. Pale soft colors of blue with pale cranberry band. Gold band. Stylus made dots of paint form pretty patterns on the frosted glass. The pitcher has no chips or cracks or scratches. On the bottom of the pitcher it is rough. Showing that it is a delicate hand blown piece. The glasses match the pitcher. Both have tiny chips along the mouth of the glass. These could easily be repaired. This is a beautiful Victorian Antique Blown Glass and Hand Painted. Lemonade/Ice Tea, Large Pitcher and 6 matching glass Set. The tall glass pitcher is 13 1/2" tall, with a 4" opening at the top, and 5" across the bottom. It has a tall slender body, fanning out at the bottom. The air bubble are visible in it hand blown applied handle, which sets up high at the top of the mouth opening. It has a curvaceous pour spout, with heavy glass thickness to the piece. The glass is velvety smooth to the touch, and has a smooth pontil at the bottom. The center of the pitcher has a decorative band of bright gold design, accented in white dots. The thin line banding of gold carries on downward to the bottom of the piece, with the white accent dots. The glasses are a sleek design, which flare out slightly at the top, tapering inward, and flaring ... moreever so slightly back at the bottom. They are 6 1/2" tall with a 2 3/4" opening at the top, and 2" across the bottom. They have the matching design as the pitcher, with the thick gold band, and the thin lines all accented in white dots. Remarkably these pieces are free of chips, cracks and repairs. The only sign of age was the wearing on some of the gold banding in some areas more than others, due to age and wear. Hand blown(please refer to last picture for mark where the pitcher was separated from the glass tubing) Antique Lemonade pitcher with lid-Light Amber with a slight Carnival glass type hue-swirl pattern-painted red accents-painted black accent at the base-13" high-18" around at the widest point-Unusual piece in very good condition with only a small flea bite on the inside lip of the rim and there are some black spots on the bottom of the pitcher which may possibly be paint left behind during the manufacturing process. Vintage Blown Glass Lemonade Pitcher & 6 mold blown Glasses Hand Painted Blue
I am not sure of the age of this set but it could be Victorian. If it is that old it is in really good condition. There are no chips on any of the pieces. There is the pitcher which I consider very tall at 11" It appears to be mold blown because there are mold lines on both sides but the top appears to be hand pulled(if that is the term) The handle seems to have been applied as it is slightly off the mold line. It has hand painted daisies( and you can see that they used to have red centers. Most of which have been worn off. There are two frosted bands, one in the bottom and one that lands between the handles. There are 6 glasses that go with it. They are about 4" tall and I don't see any traces of red so I don't think they were ever meant to have that added decoration. Please feel free to email with any questions.
