Excellent condition- there are some tiny nibbles on the exterior of the handle from use. Also straw like marks in the glass which occurred during manufacture. Original metal lid which shows some wear due to age. There is some slight staining on the interior of the syrup due to whatever was stored in it. This is a wonderful 19th Century Victorian Pressed/ Blown Victoria Syrup Pitcher. Patent dated July 16, 1872. It stands approximately 8" tall to the top of the finial on the hinged metal lid. It is in beautiful estate condition with NO chips. NO cracks, NO breaks, NO repairs, NO replacements, NO cloudiness, NO sickness and NO restoration. It shows only age appropriate wear on the underside and appropriate period production subtleties of straw marks and trapped air bubbles in the glass. This pattern was made by Westmoreland Specialty Company(the predecessor of the Westmoreland Glass Company) in 1893 in Grapeville. Pennsylvania. This item is absolutely gorgeous. I t has clear areas of the shell. The base and the jewel patterns while the main area in the center of the pitcher has a"stippled" or textured finish that makes it look frosted. Early Art Glass Auburgine/Purple Pressed Pitcher with Pontil 7.5"- Beautiful!
This is an awesome hand made antique vintage pressed glass pitcher. It stand just about 7.5" high and has a great pontil on th the bottom. The handle is hand pulled and the glass is a deep eggplant purple with great pressed glass detail. Please note that there are the usual bubbles and blurbs as well as some lines from the production. But these are not damage. They are just part of the process of glass making in years gone by. The only damage that I can find is a small crack at the base of the bottom of the tab handle which is shown in the pictures. It does not impact the functionality or sturdiness of the handle since it is just the bottom of the tab and the handle is still firmly affixed. It is very hard to see( I did not see it the first few times I looked at it) but it is there and I have priced this with this in mind. It measures 5-3/4 inches tall and tip of spot to handle is 4-1/2 inches across. The diameter at the bottom is 2-1/2 inches. It is quite heavy for its size, approximately 1 pound. Antique Thousand Eye Eyes Hobnail Pitcher Decanter blown & pressed vintage glass
Beautiful Antique Thousand Eye Eyes Large Pitcher Decanter- a unique find- blown& pressed vintage clear glass EAPG. All of the art work and collectibles being sold by Adams-Byrd Fine Art& Antiques have been collected and selected one at a time by the proprietor. An art historian with many years of training and experience in university art history departments, museums, galleries, and historic sites both in the U.S. and abroad. In most cases the pieces offered for sale on Ebay are from the business inventory(the business has been based in the Washington, D.C. area for many years) The art and collectibles that we are offering to Ebay buyers are special and unique pieces that have been carefully“curated” by us. This beautiful old clear glass decanter/ pitcher in the thousand eye/ eyes pattern was blown into a four part mold(and a three ... morepart mold was used for the stopper) Several companies made this pattern. So we will have to leave it up to the experts in antique glass to determine which company made this fine and rare pitcher/ decanter. The exact dating of this large hobnail glass collectible also will be left to the experts. The clarity and quality of this piece(including the blown base) indicate an early date. It is in good used condition. There are no cracks. On the bottom of the stopper. Some little marks are either very small chips or imperfections from the glass molding process. The only surface"roughness" is from the pontil marks. We have never used it; it has just been displayed. Inside, around the perimeter edge of the base, there is a slight white ring. We never washed the inside, but the new owner might want to- to make this piece even more perfect. On the stopper some of the convex eyes in one area on the lower half have little"dimples" on the tips- they did not completely fill in with glass in the mold. The clear section above the thousand eyes cylindrical"body" initially appears to have some"moisture" on the inner surface- but it is actually a characteris

EAPG Pressed Glass Water Pitcher Large Applied Handle Ca.1870 Clear
Up for auction we have this very large EAPG water pitcher with a large applied handle. This pitcher is in perfect condition with no damage to mention. There are no chips or cracks. It measures 9" tall by 8" from the tip of the spout to the handle. I am not sure what the pattern name is but is very crisp. I would date this circa 1870.
