Antique Hand Blown Pressed Glass 5 Piece Water Set
Here is a beautiful antique hand blown pressed glass water set. This water set consists of a 2 quart pitcher and 4 matching tumblers. I do not know the manufacturer of this fine set. But it is of excellent quality. The pitcher is decorated with a cane pillar pattern, and has a heavy applied handle. The top of the pitcher is gilded. The pitcher measures 9 3/4 inches tall by 7 inches in diameter, which includes the spout and handle. The 8 ounce tumblers are polished on the bottom and have gilding around the rim of each glass. The tumblers measure 4 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches in diameter. Each of the 5 pieces in this set is free of any chips, cracks or damage. Each piece does have about 50% gold loss. Here is a 8 1/4" tall frosted Elegant Glass pitcher. This is a nice Early American Pattern Glass pitcher in the Shell and Jewel pattern. This pattern was made by Westmoreland Specialty Company(the predecessor of the Westmoreland Glass Company) in 1893 in Grapeville. Pennsylvania. This item is absolutely gorgeous. I t has clear areas of the shell. The base and the jewel patterns while the main area in the center of the pitcher has a"stippled" or textured finish that makes it look frosted.
