Appears to be a Victorian Mount Washington bowl held aloft by Cupid ... morein a cornacopia. Could have been a brides basket but man what a fancy one this would have been! Very nice and highly unusual design. The perfect centerpiece for any room. It would look great with some fruit festooning the bowl. A massive 21" tall the bowl is 10.5" across and Cupid is about 8" by himself. Never seen another piece like this one. Was completely resilvered last year(at a cost of $600) is now tarnished a bit hence the discoloration. Also unusual in that the bowl"clips' into place with three prongs that hold it securely. Here we have a very fine Art Glass Pitcher in two tone Peach cased glass. The applied thorn handle is very nice and has the little thorns up and down the entire applied handle. The piece stands 13 inches tall& is in excellant condition. There are no chips. No cracks, no repairs. The color is fabulous and showcases the snow white encasement. The thorn handle looks like liquid Amber. It is expertly applied to the side and sets this piece off as one elegant piece of Victorian Art Glass. We have not found a signiture as of yet. So for now we are selling it just as a 19th century piece of Victorian Art Glass. The Pitcher has a hand ground Pontil mark n the bottom that has been hand polished. The pitcher stands 10" tall by 5" across from spout to handle. It has a hand polished pontil mark on the bottom. The applied glass handle is very beautiful as well, as the thin clear glass on the top edge.The shape is very classical"Greek Urn Type" The color is just outstanding. A rare find! Pitcher is about 8" tall by about 6" in diameter. Absolutely beautiful condition for age. Fantastic applied filigree handle. If there is any damage it is a tiny shard of glass missing from the handle shown in the last photograph. Antique 1888 Peach Blow Glass Vase w/ Blue & White Interior Webb? w/ Writing
Pretty peach blow vase with square neck in blue transitioning to white below. I have been unable to find the maker of this vase but a similar vase was identified as"probably" being Webb. Measures about 4 1/2" tall. The front of this has a name of"Nellie Walsh 1888" with scroll work done with what may be called an etching technique. The name is fairly translucent and hard to see. on to this. I picked up a few pieces of antique peach blow from an estate collection last week and have the others available in separate listings.
