It weighs 3 pounds 8 ounces. CONDITION: There are a few tiny flea bites on some of the raised sharp edges of the cuts. There are some wear scratches on the bottom. A very rare and extremely detailed crystal cut EAPG pitcher that features frosted etched butterflies. It is just stunning to look at and is in absolutely excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Both the handle and the rim feature"thumbprint" notching that enhances the light reflection. The body of the pitcher itself has the two frosted. Intricate patterned butterflies as well as many leaves with two deep cut halves formed into one leaf each. Up for sale is an antique salad dressings/ oil small pitcher made in Germany by WMF. The German WMF metalware company was founded in 1853 by Daniel Straub and the Schweizer Brothers. The company specializes in designer home utensils and metalware. Revered for its high quality and aesthetics. The pitcher for sale is made in the early 1920s in the Art Nouveau( Jugendstil) traditions. The glass crystal is clear and handworked with elegant design. The cap is round with diamong-like cut. All handmade. There is wearing on the glass. A small dent near the bottom and a flake-dent at the bottom-base edge. There are dents at the edges of the cut pattern on the cap as well. From an estate auction it appears the previous owner applied some sort of tape around the interior of the lid. The pitcher is 7 5/8" tall and has a 2-quart capacity. The glasses are 4" tall and have a lovely shape to them. This gorgeous old pitcher stands 6 1/2" tall. And is 5 1/2" across the opening, including spout. The pitcher is 5" wide, 7" with handle. It is very very heavy, weighing 4 lbs! Pitcher is unmarked. But maybe someone will recognize the star cut pattern on the base- it is definitely an old, quality made pitcher. Condition is excellent. No damage to the rim(I feel one tiny little pit in glass to be honest) Two tiny chips to bottom edge, that are pretty smooth, unnoticeable, and only a little rough spot on the handle. Cut Glass Antique Stemware Pitcher
Oh my gosh! This old pitcher is absolutely stunning. I have described above under condition it's two biggest scratches(at first I thought they were cracks) and the other couple of marks on it. That aside. It is so amazing! It appears to be really old. It is 6 1/2" tall and 6" from spout to end of handle. I am not familiar with the design coming up each side and the front and back. The frosted look it applied and is almost a cobweb type style. I can just envision this on a King's table way back when!
