This is a vintage wall mirror. The frame is ornate gold Gesso carved wood. Glass is fairly typical for a vintage mirror(though clearer than average) Upper right corner of frame has a small piece missing(photo#6) That seems to be the only spot where some material is missing. There are cracks throughout the surface of the frame adding to its character. Though it hasn't affected the structural integrity. It feels very solid. Possibly made in 1930's This outstanding piece measures 46" wide and 14 1/2" tall. It does have some minor imperfections that would be found with an item this old. Vintage Swivel Vanity Dresser Mirror with Drawer Ornate Victorian Style
Beautiful swivel dresser mirror with drawer bought by my grandparents in the early 1950's. Measures 21 1/2" tall. 16 1/2" wide and 8" deep. I believe it is walnut, but I'm not sure. The finish is walnut. The wood above the mirror has decorative carving. Ornate spindles with antique brass knobs/turns hold the mirror. In nice condition with a bit of wear and scratches. Those spots can be touched up with Old English Scratch Cover. Or some other kind of wood restorer, or the whole piece can be painted for a shabby look. Brass needs cleaning. ANTIQUE/VINTAGE VICTORIAN PLATEAU MIRROR, BEVELED GLASS, SCALLOPED METAL TRIM,NR
This is an antique/vintage Victorian plateau mirror. The mirror itself is beveled. The bevel is narrow. Just meeting the edge of the decorative scalloped metal trim that surrounds the mirror. This piece measures 14" in diameter and 1.5" in height. It stands on 4 delicately embellished metal feet. The feet and broader scrolled top section each measure 1" in height and 2.5" in width at the top(picture 5) The scalloped trim surrounding the mirror measures.5" in width with an additional.25" wide plain metal banding beneath the scalloped trim. The plain metal banding completely surrounds the mirror as well. All of the trim is complete and in great condition. I think there may be several metals used in the piece, and I don't know with any certainty what they are. The scalloped trim and plain banding are gold, and ... morethe feet are silver(in color, at least) The backing is all original and in tact(pictures 7& 8) The only damage to the piece is in the mirror itself. There are some small surface scratches. There is a good bit of haziness in the glass, and some areas where the silvering has worn thin. Still just a fabulous mirror. There are so many uses for these. Beautiful Vintage Victorian Roped Wrought Iron Wall Mirror!
Here up for your consideration is a beautiful Vintage victorian wall mirror. This piece for it's age is in excellant condition. It is made of heavy wrought iron and has that beautiful vintage design of swirls and curls. The color has been changed and it is a antique blue that someone painted it threwout the years but as you can see on the back at one time it was black. And is easily painted back if you like. The inside of the frame has a iron rope design. This is a piece that you won't find just anywear!I'm guessing it comes from around the 40's if not earlier era I'm not real sure of the age. And as you can see in picture 4 it looks as if the backing at one time was replaced. It measures about 26 inches long and about 17 inches wide. Vintage Bevelled Glass Vanity Dresser Mirror Victorian Cast Brass
This is a handsome. Vintage, bevelled dresser or vanity mirror that belonged to my grandmother who died at the age of 90- decades ago. So it's pretty old- I don't know how old. It appears to be solid cast brass, looks Victorian, and is stamped with the number 301 1/2 on the back of the mirror's frame and 196 1/2 on the base. It's heavy. The overall height is 18" and comes apart in 3-4 sections. The actual mirror is approximately 6" x 8.5" not including its brass frame. The frame has two decorative screws on either side of the mirror that allow it to pivot. The mirror has a few specs where it has lost the silvering. This would be perfect for anyone living in a Victorian home, and especially if the man in the family shaves the old fashioned way. This auction is for an antique mirror. It is oval in shape and measures approx. 25 by 31 inches. It has a gold liner and the frame has been painted black. There is some nice detail on the frame. I am uncertain of the age but can tell it is much older. Also quite heavy. There is some minor wear to the frame as can be scene in the photos. Thanks for looking. The mirror is perfect rectangle. I had to take the pictures angled due to the reflection. This is a nice sturdy heavy mirror. I would recommend a wall anchor when mounting on a wall.
