Antique Victorian Tilting Vanity Mirror, Ornate Floral Metal Frame
This is a gorgeous old Victorian tilting mirror in a larger size. 19” tall, 12” wide. The frame on this is all flowers and Acanthus leaves with a large ornate foot. The metal has an aged patina and the back has an old time worn and stained cover. There are no chips or cracks to the mirror but it is starting to freckle and shows age. This displays beautifully and would be an asset to any Victorian room. The items that I sell are the items I love. This is a great old mirror from a old mansion in Detroit.The family I purchased it from had salvaged homes when the interstate went thru in the late 50's. It was the best sale I have been too. Great antique victorian ornate cast iron beveled glass mirror
Beautiful ornate scrolled victorian cast iron mirror with beveled glass. With darkened gold color. Stands about 13 inches tall by about 9 inches wide. Has a beautiful scrolled easel stand. The back of the mirror has a metal plate that is held on with four swivel bars- the bottom one is stuck in the open position down inbetween the frame and the back- I did not attempt to move it. Stamped on the top back I think with the number 1040- hard to read, for a makers mark. Only flaw is a chip on the mirror on the lower left bevel, which doesn't affect the clarity of the mirror, which has some light surface scratches due to age and wear, and I see only a little discoloration/silver loss on the lower right beveled edge, and some tiny spots here and there. Really pretty example of an old victorian mirror in nice shape for its age, with fancy easel ... morestand. Please ask any other questions. Will ship in a medium USPS flat rate box that comes with tracking. Please see the pictures and read the descriptions explaining the measurements. Sizes and condition so there will be no issues later. Vintage Victorian Ornate Gold Gesso Carved Wood Wall Mirror
This is a vintage wall mirror. The frame is ornate gold Gesso carved wood. Glass is fairly typical for a vintage mirror(though clearer than average) Upper right corner of frame has a small piece missing(photo#6) That seems to be the only spot where some material is missing. There are cracks throughout the surface of the frame adding to its character. Though it hasn't affected the structural integrity. It feels very solid. This is a large antique oval gold ornate mirror. The frame is made of wood with carved gesso flowers and bows on the edges. I would gu ess it dates f rom 1910- 1940. It measures 16 1/4" x 22 3/4" It has a pretty art nouveau design. There is a sturdy w ire on the back for hanging. The frame might have been repainted at some time. I can't say for sure. Vintage Swivel Vanity Dresser Mirror with Drawer Ornate Victorian Style
Beautiful swivel dresser mirror with drawer bought by my grandparents in the early 1950's. Measures 21 1/2" tall. 16 1/2" wide and 8" deep. I believe it is walnut, but I'm not sure. The finish is walnut. The wood above the mirror has decorative carving. Ornate spindles with antique brass knobs/turns hold the mirror. In nice condition with a bit of wear and scratches. Those spots can be touched up with Old English Scratch Cover. Or some other kind of wood restorer, or the whole piece can be painted for a shabby look. Brass needs cleaning. This is a stunning antique gold gilded cast iron wall or table mirror. it is extremely ornate and done in a beautiful Victorian style. the mirror is nicely beveled and held in by a screwed in iron plate in the back. the frame is nicely footed and wrapped with cut out scroll and floral detailing. it is a thick frame and has some nice weight to it. there is a pivoting arm in the back that stands the mirror up on a flat surface or can be pushed aside to hang on a wall. the frame measures 13 1/2 inches tall by 8 3/8 inches wide. in good shape.
