AN ANTIQUE UNIQUELY SHAPED SLIGHTLY WARPED GILDED WOOD FRAMED MIRROR 8.5" X 15"
You are looking at a uniquely shaped antique gilded wood framed mirror. This mirror measures about 8.5" x 15" It is by no means in new condition. The frame is warped and had cracked long ago. It has old staples on the back(both left& right side of the frame) keeping the frame intact(see photos) The remainder of the wood frame seems to be in pretty good shape. The mirror has a lot of scuffs and scratches. The old paper on the back is all but gone and the cardboard on the back looks moldy. Even with all those flaws. It's still a very unique antique mirror.

You are bidding on an elegant Italian Florentine Gilded Oval Mirror. This lovely mirror is done in a simple understated style. The frame is a simple rounded moulding accented on both the inner circle and outer rim with a beaded design. The gilding is in wonderful condition with a mildly distressed finished to suggest aging. The mirror itself measures 8.5 inches by 6.25 inches. The entire piece measures 11.25 inches by 8.75 inches. The mirror itself is clear without any flaws. Offering a beautiful Art Deco Mirror measuring 18" long and 8" wide with the heavy beveled edge. It is mounted on a very heavy wood base and held in place with the brass screws top and bottom. On the rounded top is a pair of etched flowers in the Deco style. Very slight nick on the back of the very top- does not show through to the front. There are a couple of little scratches to the backing of the mirror on the top- can be easily touched up with some black paint. You will be pleased with the quality and condition. Early 19th Century Biedermeier Pier Mirror - 8'7" Tall
Wonderful early 19th century Biedermeier pier mirror. Most likely German. And dates to the 1825- 1840 period. Mahogany veneer on pine, with a light colored solid inlay. The columns appear to be solid mahogany. It is a total of 3 pieces: the pediment, the mirror and the base. The pediment is in very good condition; 95% of the original material is intact and in excellent condition. There is some warp to the scroll-work on top. As well as some of the side trim pieces. The finish is also very good. The central piece. Which includes the mirror, the columns and horizontal pieces at both top and bottom is also in very good condition- very little damage or wear at all. A chip in one of the hand-carved capitals is about the extent of it. The mirror itself, has very little fading or silvering loss. I'm not sure if this is the original glass or ... morenot- if it isn't, it's a very old replacement. The base shows the piece's age most clearly. There is veneer loss on both sides. As well as along the very bottom of the front. There is some separation of the pine underneath the veneer towards the side/back- not major, but some of the side pieces have shifted. There is a fair amount of discoloration on the top surface, including a water ring in the center. Most of these issues are clearly shown in the photos. Structurally. The piece is excellent- even the wear to the base is primarily cosmetic. It measures 8' 7" tall at the highest point. The widest point at the base is 33.5" And at the top, 35" I've included a shot from a painting by the architectural artist Eduard Gartner. Who was part of the"Berlin School" in the early 19th century. It shows an interior painted in the mid-1830's with a mirror very similar to the one being offered. The base and central portion are very similar, the pediment is also structurally very similar, with the one in the painting having a more elaborate trim. This mirror had been purchased from an antique store and still has its price tag of $340.00 affixed to the back. Definition of BARBOLA the decoration of small articles(as of wood or glass) with colored models of flowers. Fruit, or other ornamental objects made from a plastic paste The mirror has its own stand. The mirror measures about 8" high to the top of the flowers. And 6" across. There are a few fine scratches in the mirror. This 1800's Antique American-made Mirror degigned by P. Wiederer is attached to wood back& has metal plack on back marked“P. WIEDERER PAT… the patent numbers have worn off with age. Mirror is made of thick old glass with beautiful scalloped edges. It shows the expected wear appropriate for age and use. Wood in very good condition. Two ornamental corner flowers are missing. Dimensions are 6 7/8" x 4 5/8" PETER WIEDERER. A German Immigrant who lived in NY, invented& received several patents for new and useful improvements in ornamental mirrors in the 1880’s. Antique Cast Iron Ornate Tilt Vanity Dresser Mirror Floral Framed Iron Art JM 8
Up for bid is an antique Cast Iron Iron Art Vanity/Dresser Mirror. It stands 16 tall x 9 wide. The mirror is framed in a floral cast iron frame. The framed mirror tilts. Too. The mirror is present but it has spotting here and there. The mirror can be easily removed if you want to replace it. The cast iron is a creamy white color. There are a couple of splotches of white paint in 2 spots to the left of the top on the cast iron. There is some rust on the base. Some minor chipping of the paint surface and some wearing of the paint where it is screwed into the base. Bottom is stamped IRON ART JM-8. Awesome vintage frameless double beveled edge 8 sided Art Deco mirror with wood back and chain hanger. There are some small spotting areas of the silver in the glass. Mainly along the edge of the mirror& one small speckled area in the top middle. As with all older mirrors…this is usual. CONGRATULATIONS! YOU HAVE FOUND THAT SPECIAL ITEM! Here we have a magnificent vintage 9 7/8" high Moroccan? carnelian& topaz jeweled repousse silver foil mirror. Circa early 1900's(possibly earlier! This mirror is repousse silver foil on wood throughout(including the back) with copper filigree upper corners and brass chain link inner borders; 1 large carnelian stone adorns the upper left facing corner(1 stone is missing! and smaller carnelian and topaz stones adorn the corners and inner body of the mirror(see photos for all! NOTE: Notice the heavy age tarnish of the copper on the corners. This mirror measures: approx. 9 7/8" high x 6" wide x approx. 1/2" thick. It is in excellent aesthetic condition o/a for it's age save one missing larger stone and one small stone on the top right corner; there is a nice patina ... moreto the metals!
