Antique Victorian Tilting Vanity Mirror, Ornate Floral Metal Frame
This is a gorgeous old Victorian tilting mirror in a larger size. 19” tall, 12” wide. The frame on this is all flowers and Acanthus leaves with a large ornate foot. The metal has an aged patina and the back has an old time worn and stained cover. There are no chips or cracks to the mirror but it is starting to freckle and shows age. This displays beautifully and would be an asset to any Victorian room. The items that I sell are the items I love. Antique Vintage Shabby Oval Beveled Mirror With Ornate Metal Frame
This auction is for an antique vintage oval beveled mirror with an ornate metal frame. The frame measures 12" tall and 9" wide. The mirror is 7-1/2 x 5-1/2. The frame has a light misting of rust on it but all of the decoration is intact. The back of the frame holding the mirror in place appears to be brass. It shows surface scratching. Has a dent in the center, and shows some rust, especially at the top. There are four bars which screw into the frame which hold the mirror/backing in place. There are two loops molded into the frame to hold the wire for hanging. The mirror is hazy around the edges and has marks on the surface, the largest which is shown in the last photo. The mirror is beautiful alone or hanging with a collection of antique mirrors.

Cast iron frame FLOATING mirror beveled edge vtg wall antique metal mercury hang
This piece has a cast iron or wrought iron frame that would hang on the wall and the beveled edge mirror fits within the frame. The mirror would rather“float” between the iron frame. It has two decorative hinge type connectors that would secure the mirror. I am not a very“handy” type person and I cannot get the mirror inside this frame. It seems too wide. But I know that is just because I do not know how to secure it. This mirror definitely goes with this frame, so it has to fit. I know a“handy” type person could get it secured. If you are"unhandy. like me, you get 2 cool separate pieces! The frame is a cast iron or wrought iron black metal piece in very good condition– no rust– very good condition. The metal has a twisted ribbon like look. I have yet to find any maker’s mark on this piece. But it could be that I do not know where to ... morelook. Due to the design– a maker’s mark could be hidden. The mirror has a thick rough or scalloped type beveled edge. I was going to say no chips. But on closer I think there may possibly be a chip in one of the scallops. Rather hard to tell due to the decorative cut at the edges of the mirror. Also. As you can see, the silver or mercury backing has worn off in several places. It is an old piece. Exact age unknown– I do not know if this is an older vintage piece– I assume collectors can tell by the mirror cut and the frame style- Size: The metal frame measures approx 12 3/4ths inches in length. The center cut-out measures approx 6 1/4 by 4 1/8th inches. The mirror measures approx 5 3/4ths by 3 5/8ths inches. It is approx 1/4 inch thick at the edges. Condition: The cast iron frame still looks very good. As you can see. The back of the mirror shows much wear. As stated above, the mirror has a thick rough beveled edge and it is difficult to tell, but there may be a chip on one of the scalloped edges. Mirror is approximately 7 3/4" x 7 3/4" overall approximately 10 1/4" x 10 1/4" Normal patina and rust commensurate with age of piece; may have been completely gilded at one time? a couple of scuff marks on mirror surface(please see photo where I placed mirror to reflect against a blue surface so one could see scuff marks better) one tiny bubble seen in last photo. Medium size handmade oak frame with mirror and decorative accent, metal hanger.
This is a very nicely made medium size oak mirror with a decorative accent on the top. It is a heavy piece for it's size. It has one chip on the back as shown in the photos. It has a copper wire for hanging. It measures 10" across x 12" tall x 1" thick. The mirror face measures 4-7/8" wide x 6" high. There are routered edges to the inside and outside edges. Victorian Vanity Oval Mirror, Heavy Cast Metal with Fleur de Lis Design Frame
This is a Victorian heavy cast metal vanity mirror with Fleur de Lis design. It stands by itself with folding leg. The oval frame has a beveled glass mirror. It measures about 11" by 10-1/2" It has a very dark patina. I believe it was probably silver plated but the high edges have copper showing. I think it still looks great and is a very unusual design. The beveled mirror has several places where the silver is missing. Can be used as is or re-silvered. Would also make a fantastic picture frame. Please feel free to e-mail questions prior to bidding. This will probably clean. Back cardboard cover has some soiling and moisture circles from age. Very nice item measuring 16" in length and 10 3/4" wide. Frame is a cast metal that a magnet sticks to. I do not know if it is cast iron, it is heavy metal with bronze coloring. No breaks in metal.

Nice antique victorian metal framed mirror. The mirror is in good shape. There is one slight discoloration in one corner.see next to last pic. Ornate frame is very nice. Not sure of the metal. But its a gold color. the mirror is beveled and has some"spider veins" in the mirror, doesn't detract from it. Pretty heavy piece. It measure 14.5 inches tall and 12 wide. I have a victorian home and had this hanging for many years, but husband wanted an antique coo coo clock and i replaced the mirror with a clock. So I have no place for it. Its a very nice piece and nice size to use anywhere since its small. Can be used in a bathroom or a small wall. For shipping i'm quoting the large flat rate, but this won't fit in that size box.
